Hello Ladies,
I am so glad that I inspired you all to keep track of what your eating! It does help! I write everything down, even if I have a bite of something I am not suppose to, I write it down in my journal. You ladies are great, and thank you for making me feel welcomed in here! have a great day everyone!
Faith

Marie - Your new hairstyle sounds lovely. Maybe you can post a picture? It's nice you got to spend some time with your DGS, he's at such a fun age - still cuddly!

Carol - I hope your hubby is doing better. I'm glad you got to do some kayaking to de-stres. That was funny about you "breaking in" to the prison with your kayak! You are quite the adventurer! I hope you enjoyed your water class. That's much easier on the joints than regular aerobics.

Faith - How did you get injured if I may ask? I hope you are well on the road to recovery. I'm going to have to start journaling again too as the weight has been creeping (maybe galloping!) back since I stopped journaling every day.

Julie - You asked about soap. Carol and I make them as a hobby. I usually only make them once or twice a year for fund raiser bazaars and for gifts. I really enjoy it as you can experiment with all different kinds of textures, scents and packaging.

Judy - I hope your trip is going well and that your feet are feeling better.

Oh girls that class was something else great instructor and the gals were nice and friendly.Have to refigure dinners on those nights having dinner at 7 ish is way to late on our bodies defeating my purpose. Today was really nice and peaceful just positive forces in the office a taste of the future I hope so. Well not a bad eating day gotta go add it up etc. have a nice evening.

G,day lovely ladies, I know how you and your DH feel about what is going on with him Carol it is scary, my Mum had heart surgery about 8yrs ago she had 6 by passes and her major iorta done and she was fine in fact all this time later I still can,t keep up with her, my thoughts and prayers are with you both. And YES thank you I am doing much better feeling good every wobbly bit of me LOL. It sounds like you had fun and I,m glad the ladies were nice it,s good when the social aspects of exercise lift our spirits as well as being good for our beautiful bodies. Maybe you could keep a couple of WW or healthy choice meals in the freezer for after your late classes just a thought. Penny yes I asked about the soap because I would like to give it ago where do I start. Marie your hair sounds like it looks lovely, and I was reading back you do yoga that,s cooool and you balance on one leg while you brush your teeth well I must say the mind boggles, I have enough trouble balancing on 2 legs these day,s let alone one LOL. All of you take care stay focused and keep chuggin along... JULS

Hi, ladies--

I was feeling a bit cranky about checking into my fourth hotel since last Wednesday, but watching the people being evacuated in southern California, knowing that many of them lost everything they own, is helping me put my petty issues into perspective. My uncle just moved into a new home in Santa Clarita, near one of the bigger fires. Now I'm in San Antonio, the last leg of my trip, hooray. I never got a proper meal, so I treated myself to squash soup, mini-crabcakes, a caesar salad and a margarita for dinner. All of my aches have toned down, maybe it's the Celebrex. So things will be looking up very soon!

Carol, your water class sounds like fun. It's good that your schedule can me massaged to accommodate your personal needs. I hope your hubby's meeting with the surgeon goes well.

Faith, I have been lousy about tracking my eating on this trip. It's because I don't really want to account for all the random things I've eaten. Something mental is going on, maybe it's stress. I will try to meditate more often, that might help.

Marie, when you win the lotto, I would be glad to be your philanthropic advisor!

Penny, it looks like all of us want to recommit to keeping a journal. I will start this instant!

I need to do a little work on tomorrow's presentation and then toddle off to bed. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Carol - I'm glad to hear that things are already more positive for you at work. I'll be keeping your DH in my thoughts. Your water class sounds like fun. I wish there was a class like that near to me. The closest one is about 1/2 hour's drive away.

Juls - It was nice to hear the good outcome for your Mum with her bypass op. My DH and I are getting closer to the age when we worry a bit about heart problems, so it's always good to hear about someone who has come through it ok. About the soap - for beginners, it's best to get some glycerin soap base from a crafts store. You can melt it in the microwave, add essential oils and color if you wish and pour it into soap molds. Metal molds are not suitable as the soap will stick - the mold needs to be flexible, either plastic or silicone. The soap base usually comes with directions. It's a fun and useful hobby. Good luck! Thanks for reminding me about keeping a food log.

Judy - I'm glad the Celebrex is helping. You don't want to have all that pain, especially when you're on the road. As soon as I read your post I opened up my spark people food journal and logged my breakfast! I haven't been logging my food and my weight has been creeping up. I've been eating too many sweets and carbs since I got back from the uk where I practically lived on carbs. Seems like the more I have the more I want! I just read that we should limit our "treats" to one or two different things as a wide variety of treats triggers overeating, even if they are an equal amount of calories.

Marie and Faith - I hope everything is going well for you.

I had some sad news this morning that a member of one of our chapters of the ladies group I belong to has passed away from cancer after only being diagnosed 4 months ago. She was a lovely lady full of life who often dressed in red and purple as she was a Red Hats member. Also, the president of our group in Southern California and her DH had to flee their house with just two photo albums and a few valuables and watched from a ridge as the flames approached. She still doesn't know if their house is gone. What a terrible tragedy. We lived in SoCal for 15 years and have some very good friends there and haven't heard from some of them yet.

Marie 10-25-2007 05:13 PM

Hi everyone, work is as busy as usual so I haven't had a moment to post as the evenings have been just as busy.

Food.... :( I'm a glutton. Enough said, I must get back on track. I wish I didn't love to eat so much. I'm guessing I have company on that one.

Exercise.... Doing great. I've been doing yoga nearly nightly and have walked every morning. I wish I enjoyed hunger as much as I enjoy exercising - I'd be skinny.

Penny, I'm very sorry about your friend. Cancer is so ugly. The SoCal fires - I'm so thankful my son is no longer in San Diego.

Judy, I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm sorry about your Indians. I thought of you when the Sox won.

Carol, good luck with the surgeon and DH's appointments. Doesn't sound like a fun time of year to go through that. But probably no time is.

Juls, Penny was wonderful and made me some orange blossom soaps. I'm her greatest fan. I LOVE my soap. The scent is my fondest from visiting my gradparents (they lived in Florida with several orange trees) when I was young. I think of them often (when ever I shower).

Faith, I need to get where you are and write down no matter what I've eaten. If I write I stay on track so if I want to cheat I just don't. I need to get past that hump so that I just write it down no matter what.

Back to work.
Marie

 Hello you lovely ladies, Penny I,m so sorry to hear about your friend  I think somewhere along the line cancer touches everyones life it sucks, I hope your friend,s house was OK bush fires are terrible they destroy so much here downunder and a lot of them are delibrately lit, I have seen the news and the fires over there are horrific, it really makes me dread summer coming. Anyway on a happier note thank,s for the tip regarding the soap we don,t have much in the way of craft shop,s where I am but I,m going to Sydney in the next couple of weeks to visit my kids and grandkids so I,ll gather supplies while I,m there I want to try some little guest soaps do you think plastic choccy moulds would be OK.

Marie the orange soap sounds lovely, you are so lucky to be near enough to Penny to be able to get them and it is so nice they remind you of happy times at your grandparents, you are all such lovely ladies I get sad sometimes that I,m so far away I have met some really nice friendly people at 3fc. Don,t be to hard on yourself just get back on track, tomorrow is another day Scarlet ;) maybe we should get back to writing down our daily intake here like we used to way back, just a thought I don,t have many of them these days unless its about FOOOOOOD :D.

Hey Carol, Judy, Faith I hope your all well
Well I,m of to a good start had a healthy brekki WW muesli and :coffee: planning on tuna salad for lunch maybe chicken and veggies for dinner with fruit in between for snacks.
Take care bye for now :grouphug:...JULS

judydc 10-26-2007 06:53 PM

Okay, so now I want to make soaps, too! Or at least just have them...I made myself stop buying bars of luscious fragrant soap, I have quite a collection for a single person.

I'm back home, hooray. All in all, San Antonio was great, I spent most of my time meeting with really cool people and/or eating excellent authentic Mexican food, not the greasy, cheesy Tex-Mex shlock that passes for the real thing in most parts of the country.

I finally, finally saw a podiatrist this afternoon. She thinks I have a stress fracture, gout (:o) or some weird inflamed sac or something. But she made up some special pads for me to wear, gave me a scrip for a different anti-inflammatory med, and will ponder my inconclusive xray to decide if I need an MRI. I hope to stop hobbling one day soon!

My frig is nearly empty. I planned to stop at the grocery on the way home, but it's raining cats and dogs so I'll wait until Saturday. I'll be home for almost two weeks, so I want to stock up on greenery and make some soups and stews.

Penny, I hope your friends in CA are okay. I heard that they're suspecting arson. Can you imagine? What's wrong with people, anyway? I was sorry to hear about your friend. She sounds like she was a lot of fun to be around.

Juls, thanks for reminding us that the Daily Check-In used to focus more on what we ate that day. I guess we got so interested in everything else, that part fell by the wayside! Today I had oatmeal and smoked tofu for late b'fast, a pickle and some almonds for a snack (not at the same time:p), a SB pork and green beans for a late lunch and more almonds and chai tea. Im honestly thinking of moving toward some cheating version of vegetarianism over the winter. Now that I've found tofu I can eat without gagging, and I've read so much scary stuff about meat. I won't give up fish and dairy, though, so I'd better stop reading so much ;).

Marie, step away from the refrigerator! You can do it!:carrot: Think of how sleek you want to look in all those holiday photos in just a few months.

Okay, time to brave the rain. We need it here, but not all at once!

Well girls yesterday the surgoen said this needs to be done ASAP. So were scheduled for 11/5 and pretesting etc. on 10/30. Lots faster than we had thought. But its best to get it done and move on with life. Its got to be done so no sense putting it off and him having a heart attack etc. The risk is too big to extend the time. His valve needs replacing and it suppose to be a 4.6cm and its currently 0.6 so not so good. We both felt as comfortable as one can with the surgoen he is very down to earth etc. Gave us his email address phone #'s etc. and said no matter what he will answer or respond in a timely manner. So I guess I will be taking some time off and it won't be stress free by any means. The surgery is on the last day the coworker is there at the office so I will miss her good bye day. Oh gee! What timing huh? She is now trying to talk one more girl into going to that company. I think they are trying to create their own little company I guess. Oh well guess its like running your own controlled boot camp! Making the rules as one sees fit etc... I am glad I am where I am if their all there etc....
The exercise has been better for me lately. One day water exercise and then another day walking around the lake for 3 miles. On sunday I will go to the gym when it was nice out the outside was more inviting due to the fact we know the white stuff is around the corner and that time is limited.

My food choices haven't been to bad. I actually went out to dinner yesterday , cobb salad shared and then a one 1/2 portabella mushroom sandwich on multgr. roll. Much better than some other times. I also purchased some fiber one bars and they are only 130 cals and a great source of fiber intake taste well too.
Breakfast 2 eggs, toast dry rye, one thin slice of ham, coffee
Lunch: banana, polish sausage only 4 little slices in sauce, sm. piece of pumpkin cake took off the frosting.
Snack time: 1 fiber bar.
Dinner: sandwich on high fiber gr. bread ,roast beef, onion and some horseradish, mustard, one sm. glass of wine and a tea, frozen plain raspberries 1/2 cup. Lack of veggies today I will add more on saturday.

Penny sorry for your friend and you. Life is so short and sometimes we all need to live each day to its fullest.
Thanks everyone for your support on this site. Your a great bunch.

Take care and have a super weekend.

 G,day lovely ladies, Hey Penny and Carol it looks like you have created monsters with your beautiful soaps. I know what you mean Judy about collecting heavenly scented soaps I,m the same and some of them are just to pretty to use. You sound happy to be home, good you finally got to that podiatrist hopefully the new meds and pads will help, the rain your getting sounds good it is funny though your talking about winter food and I,m looking for nice healthy salads ;). I know we all got side tracked with other things like becoming good friends along the way but maybe if we get all the important stuff said and just as an after thought put down our intake of food for the day it might help us all stay focused :carrot:.

Carol my thoughts and prayers are with you and your DH as always, I know it is a stressful time but at least it will be done and he will start to feel heaps better and be able to enjoy the festive season with it all out of the way. OOOOH and what a shame you aren,t going to be around when that :dizzy: lady leaves I bet you,ll be just heart broken :smug:  it is good to see you are doing well with your exercise when I come here and see all you guys are exercising it motivates me and I do a couple of miles on my stationary bike, I am making the most of it at the moment I,m not in so much pain the injections seem to have helped and as long as I don,t do to much to soon I should have some prolonged pain relief . You ladies look like you are doing good with your eating plan, I had a good day, mushrooms on toast for brekki, grapes for snack, egg and a slice of WW bacon on 1 slice of toast for lunch, glass of skim milk and 2 WW cookies for snack, WW lamb wraps with lots of veggies for dinner.
Take care everyone :grouphug: keep up the good work :coach: and many, many :thanks: for always being there.

Hi Im new here my name is sarah

hello ladies I'm kinda new here
I'm on the low carb diet and I have lost 10lbs so far
I love it anyway just wanted to say hi

NEWYEARNEWME 10-27-2007 06:00 AM

G,day Sarah nice to meet you, YAY and a big congrats on your loss so far keep up the good work I,m doing WW points it is working for me. Take care I,m Juls and I,m from downunder.

cckayac 10-27-2007 06:45 AM

Sarah welcome! New people are always welcome and we are always happy to have some company here!
Today I am off to my friends to help her run an estate sale for the morning then off to help my daughter with 18 children for a birthday party. Wow thought those days were gone. I am going to try and fit in a bit of exercise this afternoon either walking around the lake or using the treadmill. I plan on stopping at the gym on sunday. The scale I say has it in for me up a little down a little no real progress there but hey I will keep trying my woosh from the other day found its way back now what the heck is with that? Has anyone ever heard that fish oil is also good to jump start your metabolism? Someone told me that also to try to have hot lemon water cleanses our system? I am willing to try it. Yesterday I purchased some new teas many flavors and am going to try and watch my coffee intake its a bit high. Haven't had any food yet but will add it in later.
Judy glad your back home must seem nice to have your own bed. That part of traveling I have never liked not having mine.
Penny was the orchid in the soap silk the other days ideas your friend had?
Juls thanks for reminding us to add our foods here we trailed off a bit.
Marie your right about food we all tend to love it just too much of it for me. Also need to add more veggies in on a daily basis and some more dairy. I have a doctors appt coming up I have to cancel til the following week due to hubbys issues. I am kind of glad to cancel as my wt. needs to get down a bit.
Does anyone know I switched from being on Tricor for trig. and chol. and went to natural stuff could that of made any difference in my metabolism rate? Just a thought cause this is a high for me and I hate it. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and go back on the meds?

penpal 10-27-2007 12:30 PM

Marie - I know what you mean about wishing you loved exercise as much as food! That would be great if I craved exercise! Sounds like you are enjoying your yoga workout. I need to get back into doing it again.

Juls - I remember the forest fires when we lived in Sydney - very scary with the skyline all red. Yes, chocolate molds do work well for small guest soaps. If you chill them well in the fridge they should pop out easily.

Judy - I love San Antonio. We had a nice vacation there with our son (also went to Corpus Christi). You sure get around! I hope you doctor soon finds a way to help your foot problem. Good idea to cut back on meat. Some of the meat substitutes are quite tasty these days.

Carol - It's probably a good thing they can schedule your DH for surgery so quickly as you'll have less time to stress about it. I know several people who have had bypass surgery and they got more energy after they recovered. I hope you soon get your "whoosh". My friend did use a silk orchid (about 1-1/2" across) that she cut from a spray she bought at the crafts store. She cut it to leave a small "stem" to poke into the first layer of soap when it had set up. My DH and I have been taking fish oil (2 grams per day) and also Resveratrol (the stuff in red wine) to lower cholesterol and it has worked for us. I don't know if fish oil makes your metabolism faster - it doesn't seem to have had that effect on me.

Sarah - :welcome2: I wish you every success on your low carb program. You're doing great so far! :carrot:

It's a beautiful sunny day here so we need to get out and do some fall yard cleanup. Our friends didn't lose their homes in the fires in CA, thank goodness. I feel bad for all those people who lost everything. It kind of made us think about being prepared for disasters, like having vital info and backups from our computers handy. We've given our emergency contact info to some friends as we don't have any family here (except our son in Idaho).

Marie 10-27-2007 02:53 PM

Happy weekend everyone. Things are going very nicely. So far I haven't exercised as it's gorgeous here (as Penny mentioned) and I'm taking the doggies out in the afternoon for a warm walk since it's been about 30 most mornings. I'll be doing yoga later as well.

Food has still been so-so. I'm not motivated but I am making some decent choices. I think I need to just wade through the non-motivated part and then I'll be ok when I get motivated. If I don't gain, I'm just fine with staying where I am.

Judy, I hope your podiatrist figures it out. I adore my podiatrist. I wish he was a family dr. as he'd be the one I'd choose.

Sarah, welcome, I hope you find your way back here regularly.

Juls, good luck with the soaps. You have experts on this board for advice. Between Penny and Carol, you should be set.

Carol, I'm glad you'll miss the witch's going away party. There is a silver lining in the surgery schedule.

Penny, I'd go out and do yard work but I get so little me time, I'm going to play in my craftroom other than the doggie walk. I do think I'll have my daily mocha iced this afternoon and sit out by my chilly pool (certainly not in it).

Well, I'm going to cut out another skirt. This time I'm making a brown jeans skirt. It'll go great with my multicolor brown sweater. And I bought brown tights so I just need to make the skirt.

TTYL.
Marie

NEWYEARNEWME 10-27-2007 11:31 PM

Hey Carol, Penny and Marie, Carol I hope you had fun with all those kids, no those days never stop but at least this time you get to go home to some peace and quiet. Your walks always sound so nice I would love to have a lake to walk around, don,t worry about the scales we all have ups and downs, I take fish oil caps for my joints and I have heard that chilli and cayenne pepper are good for increasing your metabolism, I like sweet chilli sauce so I eat it alot. What flavours did you get in your teas I,ve been drinking alot of peppermint lately it is good for your digestion.
Penny I remember those fires too a red sky from a beautiful sunset is lovely to see but a red sky that is because of bushfires is sad so many animals and people suffer and the sad thing is a lot of those fires were delibrately lit, I,m going to get some Chrissy moulds and give this soap thing a try thanks for the tip about chilling them.
Marie enjoy your walk and try not to get a cold butt sitting by the pool with you iced mocha LOL, I,m going to give the soaps a try I enjoy new things and your right I think Carol and Penny will be great help. Your skirt sounds cool the whole outfit sounds good it,s funny though you guys are looking for warm clothes and here downunder we are starting to strip off LOL. Well I came here for motivation, fighting cravings and temptation today I recieved my motivation and the cravings are gone THANK YOU for being there.. Take care..

Marie 10-28-2007 11:41 AM

Juls, excellent job on getting rid of the cravings. To be honest, I wish we were getting ready for summer. But then, I love to ski and my season pass is just waiting to be used.

Yesterday, DH suggested we take the doggies to Topsy - a remote, 4 wheel driving place - by the Klamath River. It's about 20 miles from our house but takes an hour to get there. So we did and the doggies ran free (waded into the river which is too funny since Kody's terrified of the pool). We hiked for about 5-6 miles. My feet are so sore but it was so gorgeous out and the river was so peaceful. The leaves were past their prime but they were so pretty. There's nothing like swishing your feet through fall leaves. For some reason the river has oaks growing there - here it's only pine trees so no swishing. I hadn't swished my feet through fall leaves since we moved away from Minnesota. It was a great day. I only got the skirt cut out as we played all afternoon. Today I will sew while watching football and Nascar.

Food was good yesterday as we never remember to bring a snack to Topsy. I always leave starved. Now I'm going to go peruse Apple laptops again. I'm thinking it's my next walking goal as the stove is nearly paid off.

Girls I have had a pretty good weekend so sorry its almost over. Helped with the party for the grandson yesterday. 18 KIDS wOW!
Hopefully the surgery will help with his energy and circulation issues that would be super. He seems to have a good attitude which totally surprises me with this. We will go for pretesting etc. tues. The last day of my dearest co worker leaving so sad I will miss this exit. She said to me the other day oh I was so hoping you would be here. I thought I bet you were! To rub in yah have a new job well know thank you I say. My other co worker and I are a bit stressed the girl who left and the one leaving are encouraging our girl in our office to apply there also. She is so nice they are just trying to make their own groupies in the new office I guess choose whom they'd like to work with how high school I say! Good bye to all of them and don't let that door hit your behind on the way out.
On the health front I have had a pretty good weekend. Food wise my worse choice was most likely some tortilla chips lime which I dipped in a little horseradish cheese spread. I exercised today at the gym yes me on a sunday!! Oh it was so nice top of the line equipment and the ladies locker room is lovely. I actually was sweating with it dripping at my temps. So guess thats a positive thing. Had worked out appox. 1 hr. and on the treadmill alone it said I burned 400 cals I had the incline way up there and that helped. The equipment is so much nicer than what I had at the other place. I did the bike so nice to have a fan on it wow that was good . Then did some exerises on the ball and machines. I felt great. I am going again on monday as tues is a bit messed up with the hubbies testing etc. don't want to drive back to the city later on. I am encouraging another friend to join my best friend that is. We are so much a like together this could be a great journey! I will start with a free pass for a visit this week.
Marie the food front is never so easy for us I agree wouldn't it be great if we loved exercise as much,. Should be a bumper sticker Love Exercise As One Loves Food!!! Hah hah!
Bought my stuff to start soap that is wed. nights project. Also picked up a pattern to sew the grandgirls some nightgowns for christmas they requested them. Its been a couple of years didn't know they cared about them so much.
Breakfast: 2 eggs, canadian bacon and one wwtoast coffee
Lunch: banana, salad with a little chicken in it, cheese and tortilla chips, one ravalio with sauce
Dinner: pork chop, few potatoe slices with onion, harvest beets, green beans and a little apple/pear sauce.
Exercise: 1 hr.
Good night all

 Hey ladies, hope your all well, Marie I haven,t been skiing I haven,t really seen snow just a few flakes up in the mountains along time ago. Your day by the river sounded lovely and boy you sure got a work out by the sound of things ;) good luck with your sewing.
Carol I bet she was hoping you would be there but sarcasm is the lowest form of wit she is probably just as glad to go as your glad to see the back of her :p. I have had a good day stuck to my points and I,m feeling pretty darn good. Take care catch you all later.

JULIE

Marie 10-29-2007 12:22 PM

Good morning everyone - it's a bummer. The weekend is over.:(

I'm hoping this week will be the start of less stress at work. We're still short-handed but having the negative person gone is a good thing.

I didn't walk yesterday as I walked too far on Saturday but I did do yoga with DS2. He's done it 4 times with me. This morning the doggies and I did our 1.5 mile loop. food is ok - not great.

Carol, your former (to-be) coworkers definitely sound like their cliques in high school. I take it they forgot to GROW UP. Hopefully their replacements will be better.

Juls, no snow??? Now that I wouldn't like. Skiing is a blast - I'm a little bit of an adrenaline junkie. And the crisp cold with snowshoeing feels so clean and refreshing.

I hope everyone else is ok.
Marie

penpal 10-29-2007 07:21 PM

Marie - I love the idea of your brown skirt, top and matching tights. That will be a great fall/winter outfit. I bet your pups enjoyed their outing to Topsy. They are so lucky to be able to run free and have a good sniff everything in sight! It's cool that your DS2 does yoga with you. It can be quite a good workout, depending on how much effort you put into it. That's why it's so good for all different fitness levels.

Juls - I'm glad to hear you're finding motivation here and sticking to your points :carrot:. Keep up the good work.

Carol - That must have been some party with 18 kids. I don't know how you do it. I had to laugh about you saying to your soon-to-be ex-coworkers "don't let the door hit your behind on the way out". Too bad you won't be there when the mean one leaves, you could have helped her on her way :kickbutt: . I'm glad to hear you're going to make some soaps again. Let us know how they turn out. I find it's good to do crafts as it keeps my hands busy so they are not looking for food to stuff in my mouth! It will be nice if your friend joins your gym - it sounds like a great place and it's more fun to work out with a friend.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I've had a busy day working in the morning and this afternoon finishing up some crafts projects (I always start too many things and get them half finished). I also did a little "photo shoot" to publicize our upcoming British bazaar and tea. We're aiming to have 550 guest this year.

I found a really cool craft that anyone can do - a cake/cookie stand. Take a nice medium sized glass or china plate (get from thrift store for about a buck) and glue it to a narrow glass column type candle holder (cheap kind also from thrift store .99c). You need to use epoxy (two component) glue so it doesn't fall apart - hot glue won't work. You can experiment with matching combos if you can find colored glass candle holders. I'm packaging these in cello bags decorated with a pretty bow and Xmas snowflake ornament (from Dollar Store 10/$1) with a package of cookies on the plate for sale at the bazaar. These also make a nice hostess gift.

Hi, this will be quick so I won't have an opportunity to totally vent..but this has been a frustrating day at work. I'm here very late, waiting for our poor IT consultant to figure out the last of our server/firewall problems. We were all counting on getting a lot done today, since our board will be here for two days of meetings at the end of the week. But alas, our firewall gave up the ghost this morning, and we have been unable to access many of our files or the Itnernet for most of the day. Our current IT guy is sweet but still learning the fine art of troubleshooting. Marie, where are you when I need you? Anyway, we are online and able to access file, but now the remote access is wacked out :?:. I hope this is resolved soon, it's after 8PM.

Good news: my foot is much better, so maybe the meds are helping. I want to workout again (not tonight, though!).

Carol, I'm thinking of you this week. I bet that the exercise will help you with the stress of this week.

Sarah, good to meet you! I'm sorta low-carbing, but not counting carbs, just being conscious of carbs, cals and fats. Congratulations on losing ten pounds :carrot:

Marie, Penny and Juls, you sound like you're dong well. But Juls, I'm envious that you are just beginning to think about summer....

Marie cool outfit I looked at tights myself the other day. Think I will invest in a couple of pairs for the winter weather burr. You will be off skiing somewhere wonderful in the mountains. I would like to snow shoe this winter another new adventure.

The last day with her was today for me no long good byes just a good luck. She wished me well with the new baby coming and the hubbies surgery. I had a couple of personal phone calls to do today and went in the other room not sharing my business. Soon I won't have to do that hurrah. The surgoen has filled out my family leave so I can adjust my hours to meet my needs at this time with the hubby. I can use sick time as I feel is needed and take some work to the hospital for when I am just sitting around etc. That will make it better and I will use less hrs and beable to do most of my own work. The next week will be tough as reports are due in. But if I can get them ready they can type them out etc. I will look them over and they can send them etc... I am not going to stress over it what I can't do someone will have too.

Penny I am so looking forward to making some soap wed. night we are starting the first batch.
Judy sounds like your work is crazy to whats in the air? Hope it clears up really soon.
I have been doing really well with not over doing with my intakes. Exercise is on a rise and today I had the hubby drop Bear off to me at the lake and walked with him. First lake walk for him and he did pretty good. So another day of decent exercise for me thats 2 in a row. I have my gym closes packed for after the hubby and I go to the pretesting on tues. going to fit in a workout.
Breakfast: oatmeal homemade with a little honey, 1 piece of whole wheat toast coffee 2 cups
Lunch: salad with turkey, cheese, cuke and low cal dressing
1/2 granola bar, pumpkin spice latte not so healthy but small thank God!
Dinner: salad with vinegar, olive oil and garlic, broc, mushroom pizza homemade with tomatoes, peppers, onions. Going to brush my teeth no more tonight to eat!
Juls your always so positive! So glad your back and Faith look forward to learning more about you soon.

Carol thanks it is good to be back I missed you guys I was thinking about Tired the other day I wonder where she is. It doesn,t sound like the witch that left needs good luck she is the sort that will always land on her feet by wipeing them on others along the way, now you can try and take a deep breath and try and have a normal work place  hey girl don,t you ever stop I know you will be stressed at the hospital but can,t you have a break from work.

cckayac 10-30-2007 07:06 AM

Juls I just want to ensure I don't use up my time to quickly his recovery could be up to 6 weeks. I read the preopt stuff before going to bed last night to know what to expect today. Oh that wasn't so smart I was up quite a bit. Lots of things running through my head. I know he will be fine but seeing him in the upcoming condition is going to be rough on all of us. I need to be strong and not show fear to my hubby or my daughters. It will all be okay and I know that it will just be a couple of weeks and then it will start to look up and be all over soon. I am thinking of not taking a whole day off the second day as we can only go in ICU during special times and only for 10 min. at a time if I am reading it correctly. I will find out more and ask questions. Thank you all for your support do I ever need it. I am going to put some of my stress into the workout theme. The gym opens up early and closes late so no excuses and its on the way into the hospital and work. Bear will not be happy with our new schedule at all. But my SIL will assist with him and the household when she can.
Juls I hope the scale is kind to you. I only made a little change .5 wow! But with this menopause thing I will take anything that is a loss. It really is messing up my system. I really am trying with intakes and exercise and can just keep doing it until I get the results I need. I miss Tired too wonder what she is up to and hope everything is well with her and the family. Haven't been to the chiro. in over a week. Kind of scared to go cause I feel better but a bit scared not to cause I won't con't to feel good crazy thoughts huh? Any advice on that?
I just ate a lovely bowl of homemade oatmeal, dried cherries and a few almonds, a little honey and cinnamon. Juls what is Brekee?
Jiggles glad your still around and can't wait to hear how your doing.
I will add my intake completly later on.
Have a great day everyone and yes today is the day!!!!!! Things will get better at the work place and hopefully she is happy elsewhere.

Marie 10-30-2007 12:43 PM

Morning everyone, things are fine here. I did a drizzly morning walk with the doggies and yoga last night. Work is irritating as usual but since I like my job, it's okay.

Food was up by about 300 cals yesterday. So that wasn't good. I made good choices this morning so that's a bit of an improvement.

Carol, I'm glad the witch is out of your life. I loved Juls comment about wiping her feet on others. That was so appropriate from what we know. I hope that today's tests go well. You know, it's cool that your SIL is there during this time. Probably helps with your stress.

Juls, get rid of the too much butt and get on the slopes with DH next winter. It's very fun and quite a workout. But first we have to get you healthy and able to move.

Penny, the cookie stands sound pretty. You are very creative. And a photo shoot to boot.

Judy, "last of our server/firewall problems" - there is no such sentence. Techno gods see to that. The problems never end. My sweet little workstation has restarted for the heck of it 3 times this morning. I'm thinking it has to do with the memory change but it worked last week so who knows.

I bought myself a new toy yesterday. I bought a tiny MAC laptop. I've never owned a MAC and it's what I chose. I'm a sworn Windows user but decided that since I buy Apple stock I should support the company that makes my beloved ipod. So there you have it - I'm a windows traitor. By the end of the week my little new toy will arrive. It's on a no interest payment plan so I have to walk/exercise $50 worth per month. Since I average about $150-200 per month with my exercise obsession, that shouldn't be a problem. My wood stove is almost paid off - about 45 more dollars. Yes, I bought on exercise credit again - bad me. Oh well, I just had to have the new toy. Can anyone say manic??? I think I'm in a manic stage and that's probably not good... But at least I like this side of bipolar. :)
Marie

 G,day all you lovely ladies, Carol you crack me up Brekki is Breakfast I know we aussies have funny name . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family I know you are stressing and sometimes reading the info they give you is not a good thing, you tend to get all worked up over nothing DH will be OK  6 weeks isn,t long and then he,ll back to his old self. You go to the gym and work your little butt of and if they have a punching bag give it **** girl, it is good you have your SIL there to help out and I,m sure Bear will understand it isn,t a permanent thing just a little bump in the road but it will soon be all smooth again. I know what you mean about menopause it sucks big time and can hinder weight loss but it can be done just a bit slower that,s all, the  Mr scales was kind to me with my weigh in today he said I,ve lost another 2lb :carrot: congrats on your loss every little bit helps. Your brekki sounded good you are off to a good start to the day, and please go to the chiro.

Marie yes I will get of my J,LO butt and try skiing I can just see me now I will not have to worry about the butt because that is probably how I,ll go down the slope on my butt, hey I could carve out a new walking trail  anyway good luck with your new toy I would love a new computor DH calls this one Frankenstein it,s old but it does the job :).

I thought I would share something I found in one of my mags we all seem to suffer from aches and pains and I thought this was interesting.

SWAP CHICKEN FOR LEAN PORK.
Chicken is high in arachidonic acid, a type of fatty acid that fuels inflammation.

EAT ONIONS EVERYDAY.
They are one of the best anti-inflammatory veggies.

DITCH SPUDS ( POTATOES ) FOR SWEET POTATOES ( YAMS)
Their high beta-car0tene content makes them a good anti-inflammatory choice.

I,ve had a good start to the day had WW cereal for Brekki, have a tuna sald planned for lunch and fish in garlic and lemon sauce with lots of veggies for dinner.
TAKE CARE :grouphug: THINKING OF YOU FAITH, HEY PENNY AND JUDY, LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU JIGGLES. BYE FOR NOW...JULS

judydc 10-30-2007 06:42 PM

Yaay, no mechanical breakdowns at work today, just mental ones:dizzy:. I finally got home just before 9PM last night, the IT guy had to give up and finish resolving the last of the (current, Marie) problems this morning. Now my email messages aren't going to my Blackberry anymore...that's an annoyance I can live with for a few days. I overslept this morning and am trying not to work too late tonight. We're all a bit loopy from overwork and stress, but laughing a lot, too, so I guess we'll get through this week. I intend to enjoy every possible minute of the weekend!

Hi, Emma, we missed you. I hope you're doing well. Don't be a stranger!

Juls, thanks for sharing the info from that article. I hadn't hear the chicken-for-pork swap before, but I'm thinking of swapping them both for fish and non-meat protein. I love sweet potatoes (especially with butter and brown sugar ) and will have half of one with cinnamon with dinner tonight. And yes, I miss Tired, and hope that life is treating her well.

Marie, my friends say that once you go Mac, you'll never go back. You're buying it on the healthiest kind of credit, good for you!

Carol, I'm not quite sure why you don't want to go to the chiro. But maybe if you make an appointment for a few weeks from now, you can cancel it if you don't want to go after all, but if the stress (and stepped-up workouts) call for it, you'll already be on schedule.

Penny, Sarah and Faith--I hope you're having a great day!

Today I had oatmeal and kefir for b'fast, a Balance bar for AM snack, a salad w/salmon and egg for lunch, nuts and baked chips for afternoon snack, and just now half a grapefruit to tide me over 'til I get home. Note to self: Avoid eating a juicy grapefruit when wearing a lovely light blue silk blouse.

Take care--judy

Judy - I'm glad your technical glitches are sorting themselves out. It's very frustrating when our computer systems are not working properly. I'm a Mac person but I know how frustrated my DH gets when he uses his PC. I only use a PC for the website I maintain, but I dread using it as it's very temperamental compared to my good little Mac iBook! We're eating more fish these days and I've noticed how expensive it's getting. We're lucky to have a Trader Joe's nearby that still has some good fish at reasonable prices.

Carol - I feel for you with all the stress leading up to your DH's surgery. Sometimes the anticipation is worse than the actual event - you just want to get it over with. Having gone through some family health dramas (my own included) it seems that often the first three days after surgery are the hardest and then things improve a lot. When our DS was a few months old he had major surgery and we spent many days in the hospital with him. I thought, well if I can get through this I can get through anything. I took my bookkeeping work in with me and it was a way to get my mind off things, so it's a good idea for you to take a few things to work on while your hubby is in the hospital. I'll be thinking of you both and sending good thoughts your way.

Marie - Congratulations on being a Mac owner! We've always had Apple computers right from the very first one that came out in the 80's. We have an iBook and two MacBook laptops and an iMac in my office. My DH runs Windows XP on his MacBook and he says it works very well and very fast (also more reliable than the PCs). My DH also has 2 Windows laptops that he needs for work and programming, so we're up to our necks in computers!

Juls - Congrats on losing 2 lbs.! :dancer: Way to go! :carrot: That was very interesting info about chicken having inflammatory fatty acid in it. I eat a lot of chicken and also have very high inflammation (CRP) that my doc has been trying to get me lower for about 5 years now). Maybe I'll switch to even more fish and veggies - probably healthier too as you don't know what they feed chickens these days! My arthritis has flared up in the last week or so and I noticed I've been eating a lot of tomatoes, so I'm going to cut them out for a while and see if it makes a difference.

Hi Emma - hope to hear from you again soon.

We had our baking day for the bazaar today and made several baked goods and 12 large Xmas puddings. Probably the highest calorie food on the planet!
We had fun and lots of laughs and I showed the gals one of the finished cake plates, wrapped up pretty and complete with a small Italian Panetone cake on it. Of course they talked me into letting them eat the cake! I only had a tiny sliver, so not too bad on the calories today.

NEWYEARNEWME 10-30-2007 11:44 PM

I,m with you guy,s when I read the article to DH he said the same thing we are going to be eating more fish and veggies, we both have arthritis, with your CRP Penny it could help cutting back on the chicken. I know we eat alot of the stuff maybe 3 or 4 times a week replacing fish a couple of those times could help, and your right you never know what their feeding the chooks, but I can,t cut it out altogether I do love my chicken LOL.

cckayac 10-31-2007 06:52 AM

Marie your new laptop sounds lovely and good for you in almost paying off your last purchase. Isn't interest free lovely. I use it too. See your cont' to pay yourself to exercise and you do seem to enjoy it too. Bear and I enjoyed a junt around the lake on monday. So I am increasing my exerise this week so far monday, sunday and did do some walking in that hospital yesterday but guess that doesn't count. I will walk today around the lake on my way home. Do the gym thurs. and most likely saturday or sunday.
The testing went okay but the explaination of events during the procedure and recovery are a bit scary. We will be okay as the incision is going to be smaller than the reg. type but still lots to go through everything else is the same. Afterwards I took a little stress break and had my hair highlighted an it just makes me perky looking and not so stressed at least a little way to hide it. I don't want the hubby to know that with any surgery we worry even know the odds are great for him. I found out yesterday we have the top chief surgoen of this hospital so hurray for us!!! That makes me feel super about that part. I am planning now to work the day after surgery and the rest of that week almost my reg. hrs. except for the day they allow him to come home we are hoping for friday. The hospital is only 5 min. from my work. That makes it nice. Also got my paperwork completed for family leave act allowing me to take what ever I need but no need to take too much either. So sometimes I can pull different hrs. or take some work home etc. and that I will try to do. Its hard cause with my job things will not get done if I don't do them most of the time so better not to get behind. So for the rest of this week its busy busy! The W has left and guess it wasn't to great the supervisor took the day off my feelings exactly, guess she wasn't so sad either in the exit I am sure her name came up quite often. She wasted her time cause in the end they saw who she really was I think.
On the food front great breakfast yesterday but lunch we stopped for pasta. Now it was so good but not too low on cals. I had the lunch size of course and finished my leftovers for dinner. Had a sliver of keylime pie with the SIL. Looked at the cal. that helped ensure my portion size was way below an 1/8th of a slice.
Juls 2lbs. you go girl. I can't wait to move that scale a bit but I am not stressing increasing my exercise and just trying to not over do. Keep it up. I like seafood but no one else here is crazy about it except for fried. But I need to put more in my diet. So I will attempt to have that tonight for dinner thanks for the reminder it should be increased in our diets. The fiber we eat should be between 25-35 according to yesterdays nutritionist.Gotta fly trying to start work at 7:30 today.

judydc 10-31-2007 10:52 AM

Well, boo! For Halloween I'll be going out as a woman who weighs 227 pounds . Now that's scary, it means I gained a buncha weight this month. Ay-yi-yi. I didn't really pig out on the road, but between bigger portions, chocolate or a drink here and there, and not working out regularly, especially in the last three weeks, I've taken a huge step backwards. I have just two months to reach my low-bar goal of being firmly under 220, after being right on the edge coming into the fall. My high-bar goal of being under 200 seems out of reach now :(. No point in beating myself up about it, unless that burns calories...

My foot is better every day, but I've been allowing myself to sleep through my workout time. So this morning I managed to sleep a little later and to do 30 minutes of cardio. I will also remember that I can work out in the evenings, too. It will help when the time changes this weekend and I gain an hour, but I'll be back on the west coast soon, so my sleep will be off kilter again. Which is still no excuse for eating too much and not working out.

I'm wearing my more classy H'ween earrings today, small flying bats. I have a dinner meeting tonight, so I don't know if the kids will still be out when I get home.

Carol, I'm so proud of how smart you've been about planning your time and taking care of everything (including yourself) as you prepare for your hubby's procedure. I'll be sending y ou positive thought waves all day Thursday .

Juls, I love chicken, too, it's so versatile and fits almost every mood and cuisine you can think of. In fact I will have a chicken leg for lunch today. I will do the right thing and peel off the skin before I eat it...

Penny, these teas and bazaars keep you really busy! Good luck with continuing to make good choices while you're baking so much y ummy food.

So far I've had an egg, salmon and cherry tomatoes for b'fast, and am about to have an apple and almonds for AM snack. Will have chicken and vggies for lunch, celery and hummus for PM snack. Today's goal: absolutely no H'ween candy, and just veggies and lean protein with dinner.

Have a good day--judy

Marie 10-31-2007 12:31 PM

Happy Halloween everyone!!! This used to be my favorite holiday when my kids were growing up. We lived in a neighborhood and had lots of trick or treaters. I always dressed up and decorated the house - the whole thing. Now I live in the middle of nowhere, my job has a no-no on costumes and candy is naughty. My stranges h'ween story is when I was in HR - the first person I every had to fire was on h'ween and I was dressed as the grim reaper. It does make a funny story...

Carol, I'm thinking of you and DH. I hope all goes well. This must be so stressful. I'm so proud of you that you haven't binged. I would have as food is a comfort even when I feel guilty afterwards.

Juls, I don't like pork or fish so I'm stuck with Chicken. But it is cool info in case down the road I have problems. My aches and pains are from sports - so far no arthritis.

Judy, I personally like your costume but I can see where you'd like it 8 pounds lighter. It was an awfully cute way of describing the gain. You know, we only live once and we should not take the small things too seriously. Take them into account and try to do better, but never to beat oneself up over them.

Penny, now you have to make another cake. Those gluttons. :) I've always hated Macs - until OS X. Then I started to really like it and now I own one. Eeks. I've had PCs since Windows very first version (yes, I know, the one they stole from Apple). BTW, my purchase seemed to help their stock (and therefore me...). It's up another 1.5. Go apple go. But they're being SLOW to ship. they say ships within 24 hours - and as it's now 48 and they still haven't shipped I'm a little irked. I paid for expediated shipping so I'd have it by the weekend. After calling, they will still send it fast once they SEND it and they refunded the expediated shipping charge. I have sort of given up hope for it to be shipped in time for me to have it for the weekend. When DH has guard and I would have been able to play with it uninterrupted. :(

Well, I should work but I'm going to the store instead. :)
Marie

NEWYEARNEWME 10-31-2007 06:12 PM

Morning ladies, thanks for all the congrats I,m getting there slowly but surely.
Carol my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as always, it is great that you have the top surgeon that must put your mind to rest a bit, so ding dong the witch is gone YAY for you. Your food intake for yesterday didn,t look to bad and as far as the scales are concerned you have enough on your plate at the moment so don,t stress it, just keep up with your exercise that will help eleviate the stress as well as make you feel good. I try to get my fibre in from eating apples which I can,t get enough of I like my veggies and fruit so my fibre intake is never a problem, I,m lucky my hubby doesn,t mind fish but when he is the mood for something else and I want fish I just cook up a ready fish meal like fish in parsley sauce they come in little frozen pouches so they are very handy.

Hey Judy, I love my chicken to but if eating to much of it hinders my arthritis I guess I can make the sacrifice and switch to fish a couple of times aweek also better for the calorie intake LOL, good girl for remembering to pull off the skin but that,s the best part I always feel sad when I do that OH HUM the things we do to stay beautiful. Your costume sounds delightful not scary, and as you say you have 2mths to get under your goal of 220 it is achievable so don,t sweat the small stuff life is to short so enjoy it.

Hi Marie, hey the grimm reaper huh does sound funny also ironic,I can just picture it you standing there looking like death himself and then having to drop the axe or syth in that case, what a shame where you work they aren,t into the costume thing and candy isn,t completely naughty as long as it is sugar free "chuckle". It,s weird I,m not that fussed on pork either other than ham and bacon but I,m not into pork chops or steak and other cut,s my hubby said that if I like bacon and ham then I should like all pork but I don,t like I said I,m weird LOL.

Penny the cake stand,s sound so lovely I,m going to give it ago and the Italian traditional Chrissy cake Yummm I can just see it sitting there saying eat me so I don,t blame the girl,s for scoffing it down, I love Italian desserts I think my fav would be tiramusu so rich and heavenly OHHH DROOL.

Well I,m off to another good start, 2 slices raisin toast and coffee for brekki and the rest of the day I,ll post later, Take care everyone, bye for now..... JULS

cckayac 10-31-2007 09:36 PM

Thanks for everyones kind words and wisdom as always I love this site. Today I made some oatmeal and took it to work had half for today and saved half for thurs. Ate a toasted bagel with a little cc on it. Then for lunch a 6inch veggies sub at sub way. A little clark bar snack size and a little peanut pay day later on. Made BLT for dinner and had about 10 mm's afterwards. One fiber bar on the way home from work. Not too bad for halloween usually I would of had more. So guess I am doing okay not great but okay. At least not having huge amts., pretty much healthy choices oh bacon well drained well and tomatoe and lettuce. The office was a bit crazy I think our other girl is going to accept the job with the others its more money etc. I felt bad for her so torn of what to do. I said yah have to do what you feel is right for you and thats how it is. For me staying was right and i haven't regretted it yet but that is me. So time will tell but I have to much to do to worry about that now. My own work is busy busy and then time off too oh gee! Going to work from home part of the time the hubby is off and that is through the family leave act.
Sounds like you are all into halloween I love it too but no kids around my house and I already saw the grandkids dressed up saturday. So I made homemade soaps for christmas gifts with my friend. We did lavender and lime tonight. More to do soon. Well time for beddie by. Night all I get on here instead on nibbling my way through the house. hAH HAH
Judy don't worry you will get back into the wing of things I had to do it to. Wouldn't yah think we would just learn from all the other times to do it right and stop taking a different path we work so hard to take it off but its a learning experience and at least we are trying to make a healthy change. I am with you trying to make a differece and make up for my mistakes along the way. Oh well time will tell and just keep trying we will get this right yet!!!

Marie 11-01-2007 04:09 PM

Hi everyone, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel - weekend is coming!!! YEAH!!!!

DH and I had a great time with DGS, DS1 and almost DIL last night. DGS is just so cute. I've nver been into babies and now that he's a toddler, I'm having a blast. I don't have to force myself to have "fun" anymore. It's natural.

I walked the doggies this am. The 1.5 mile loop was fun, but I'm thinking a bigger loop would be better but I'd have to get up before 5. 5:00 has been hard the last few weeks so I'm thinking I won't do it. I hsould just win the lotto and it wouldn't be a problem.

Food is ok so far today. Better than yesterday. I have tomato zucchini soup for lunch, my .5 oz M&Ms, apple and a corn muffin. The muffin is iffy, but I really like them so I'll indulge the extra 160 cals.

Juls, I'm a cake person. I love icing and the cake. Actually I'm a dessert person. Okay, correct that - I'm a food person. :)

Must get back to work. :(
Marie

 G,day lovely ladies, I,m with you Marie I always tell my DH I,m on a sea food diet, see food and eat it  I,m not into sweets that much I like my WW ice cream but I,m more into savoury snacks chips are my . Your walks sound good I,m stuck to riding my indoor bike my leg is still giving me grief so I find sitting on my butt riding doesn,t put as much strain on my hip and leg. I was thinking wouldn,t it be good if you could just screw off your head and put it on a new body when your sick of the old one, ;) I love to spend time with my DGK,S to I,m into babies, toddlers the whole thing, DH has 3 wks off starting the 10th Nov and we are going down to Sydney to catch up with everyone I can,t wait. Keep your eye on that light it keeps getting brighter today is Friday :carrot: DH works Saturdays his weekends are Sunday Monday, I look forward to Sunday with WW I get and extra 35 points I can use a week if I choose sometimes I do sometimes I don,t but if we go to the movies or the local club for dinner I can splurge a bit if I,ve been good all week, your soup sounds yummy.
I,ve had a good start.

Brekki, I had 2 slices of fruit toast and coffee. I plan on a salad and yogurt for lunch, a chicken, mushroom cauli and broccoli stir fry in sweet chilli sauce for dinner. and fruit for snacks.
Take care talk to you all later.:grouphug:

cckayac 11-02-2007 06:41 AM

Juls I must of really lost it I thought Brekki was a food. Hah hah! Sounds like your doing good on ww. I never really have tried that one only used some of their ideas in the past. How long have you been doing that program? Lots of programs have started to give us one day to induldge a bit. I guess it makes our metabolism kick in a bit better. Guess I should give that a try.
Marie sounds like you had fun with baby bonks. Good for you. That is a great stage and lots of fun watching them explore the world and new things around them. I like my sweets too. To bad cause it sure would make life easier if I hated them. My daughter and her hubby arent into them at all wish I were like that. I would only find something else most likely just as bad for me.
I have been on a roll with trying to exercise so far sun. mon. thurs. and still will fit in some more most likely sat. a.m. at the gym. I still need to use their training sessions as I need to learn how to operate some of the equipment. Its free and I should take advantage of it. My scale says I am back down another .5 but that is still up from before so I have some more to move off this body. I at least feel like I am doing something about it.
Judy hope your doing well and everyone else I might of missed.

Yesterday good breakfast 1 egg, can. bacon slices, 1/2 slice of cheese, 1/2 of a cinn. bagel. No lunch til after 3:30 that kind of knocked me off a bit real busy at work. Then had purchased black bean soup in a bread bowl only ate part of the bread bowl. Later had some naughty sunflower bread that was my down fall and a little cup of onion soup w/out croutons or cheese. One skim cheese stick and a cup of sleep dream tea which works great right before bedtime. I am going to have the other 1/2 of bagel for breakfast this a.m. and some of the bacon its on 60 cals its what we call canidian bacon real lean and one egg. Lunch is made a salad from yesterday already at work and I have some white tuna to add and a fiber bar for afternoon snack 9 grm of fiber. Think seafood is in order for dinner this evening. Take care.
