Default 21 Days to Beat a Rut ... Day 16

Since I've found daily and/or meal planning threads and so on very encouraging let's try this. 21 days. Set you own parameters. I'm not even setting a goal. I just need to kick things up a bit. Stir up some enthusiasm.

There's no good reason for me to have an off plan day in 3 measly weeks. Is there?
Here's my general plan ...1400 cals of superfoods with 150 gms of protein (on average), some jogging in each daily walk and a four day weight lifting split with heavier weights.

Anybody in? It's only three weeks. Who knows what kind of new habits we can form!

And it doesn't matter if you're a day or 2 or 7 behind just find the thread for day 21

and begin. There will always be a link to the next day, so that you can progress along with everyone else.

I was having a chat with a friend the other day who pointed out that I always talk about what I did 'wrong' during this little challenge. I didn't really think I was being negative (nor did she) she just wanted to point out that I'm probably doing more right than I am wrong.
I've heard it said again and again that if you're doing 'right' more often than you're doing 'wrong', you still end up more fit. So, I'm not starting over. I'm going to follow through for the 21 days and reassess. I can do well and then do another one some day and do better, right?

OK now ... this is one week done of the challenge ... I've averaged 1560 calories with 128 gms of protein. I walk/jogged 6 days and did all 4 days of my weightlifting split.
I can clearly see what needs to be tidied up for the next 2 weeks without beating myself up. It's not big things. I can do that.

Day 16 started out great but ended up not as well. I spent most of the day traveling to attend a business conference. I ate breakfast at home, rather than buying a breakfast burrito at the airport as I would have in the past, and packed a nice healthy lunch and snacks to eat on the plane. I didn't even eat the bag of crackers they handed out (although I did eat one of the bags of nuts--but nuts are good for you and those bags are tiny). Even better, I had planned to grab a latte at the airport (sugar-free, fat-free cinnamon dolce) but I was running late and didn't have time, so that's 90 calories saved. I guess that's one solution to avoiding airport food--get there so late you barely make your flight.

But I ended up eating some appetizers at the opening reception. This isn't exactly against my rules, but it would have been better if I had just ate some of the veggies (but they really were kind of unappetizing). I did well at dinner (ordered the healthiest seeming entre that was appealing to me) except that I had some of the bread, which is definitely against the rules I set up at the start of the challenge. I don't care though, I'm not starting over.

On the plus side, I didn't have any dessert at either the reception or dinner (well two small truffles, but that's allowed under my rules) and I limited myself to one glass of wine at the reception and no wine with dinner.
