Thanks
Thanks Tammy for understanding....see! ;) haha It's true. But I think if I had gotten on the scale every day or at least every other day I wouldn't have gotten so big. I tend to pretend everything is ok...and I lose sight of myself. I don't even look at myself in the mirror for months....and up goes the weight. I need to focus more on myself from now on. Although it's disheartening at times to go up and down...it makes me even MORE determined to get it down.

Marti~ I hope he can take the time off. He asked his mom if she would go with me to some of my appointments so he would be able to take time off once this one is born. His boss is very understanding about that stuff.
Jodi~ They always say that even the little things help. So, it sounds like your phone conversation with your cousin's wife helped out. It sounds like it helped you as well. Jane~ I agree with you on the menu at Bob Evans! That is why we only go there every once in a blue moon. Cristina~ lol. I am feeling good. I have hit the uncomfortable stage now. The baby loves to try to be an alien about to jump out of my belly. Nope, thankfully, I never did have any morning sickness with any of my pregnancies. They are very excited about having a brother or sister coming. They will pull up my shirt and then kiss my belly. Logan will zurbert my belly and then smack it. It is funny if the baby kicks after he does it cause his eyes will get as big as saucers as he tries to figure out what happened. Sue~ My mom lives two hours, well now it's about an hour and a half, away from us. When she watched Brandon while I was having Logan, he was put in a crib in a dark room and left to cry. He has always not liked being in a dark room. He will wake up, so will Logan, if the light bulb in their night light goes out. Then one of my sisters (the one that I mentioned above) told me that one of my other sisters was giving Brandon dish soap in his cup. Then when I called her on it, she claimed that he got it out of the cupboard himself. Which is funny, because my mom had put the child lock on it so he couldn't get into it. So, I refuse (as well as Tommy) to let that happen again. |
It's March! What happened to February? Time is moving much too fast for me. :dizzy:
I'm on my way to do some online banking, but wanted to tell you all Good Morning first. BBL, |
March is for marching on....
I Hi Jane! How are you? I'm excited to March really. It's a fresh new month to start making even more changes. :D Tammy~Today was at my lowest since starting this a week ago. Even better I ate great yesterday and made some good choices eating out. (salmon and a salad with oil and vinegar) BBL....I gotta go take my son to school. But wanted to check in. |
Good Morning Ladies
It's cold and I'm still tired! I want to get in half an hour of YBB this morning so I'm getting myself used to getting up early this week. Some days no problem....today, just wanna crawl back to bed! Jodi--I'm glad to hear that you talked w/your doctor and got some blood work taken. Wonder what the results will say. I hope you'll find information that'll help you start feeling more "regular". Knowing what your blood work tells you is good to. It has helped me. Gave me some kind of motivation to improve myself. We have a "know your numbers" happening at work next week and I want to try and to do it so I can compare my results from October to today. Jane--Your cake looked great! So.....did you have to cut two cakes and then mingle them to checker them like that?? I have to agree w/you on time.....it is going WAAAYYY too fast for me too. I had to reread your post.....I thought I read that you were doing some online "baking" and was trying to figure out what in the world you must be doing!! (I need coffee!!) Cristina--Did you find a house to move to? That is fantastic that you found a buyer!! Now, will you be looking for a smaller house or a bigger house?? Hubby and I are looking into finding a place by Summer. Not quite sure where we want to relocate to yet though, so that's why we need some time. Sue--Some of those DVD's for YBB is just too much for me!! I have no rhythm!! Hip hop abs...I just can't seem to do the moves correctly! :dizzy: But I"m finding that I like the rest of it. Good luck w/selling the house. Tammy--Wow....cleaning up for the cleaning girl! I saw an episode of the Simpson's where Marge was cleaning up for the cleaning lady! :D I hope you get a good rest day in today. You have a busy schedule and you deserve a day off!! Tina--You sound like your doing great. You dinner sounds yummy and you have the right attitude about it all. Happy to hear that your at a low weight today! Fantastic. Just keep up w/what you're doing and keep checking in. And as you said: March is for marching! :) Mindee--Good that Tommy's boss is understanding. I'm sure he'll let him get some time off for this special occasion. Ok ladies, it's almost 8:00 and I need to get some exercises in. You all have a wonderful day and I'll chat w/you all later! |
Hello ladies...
Man did I wake up late and feeling horrible...kept getting dizzy for some reason. Feeling better now though sort of. JANE...the cake is fabulous! Looks yummy too! Good for you for not eating any, I would have had devoured the thing! About the house/closing...the people who are buying it is giving us 2 1/2 days to get moved. We were wondering how that was going to work out but they put it in their offer. We'll close on the 21st and they will take possesion at noon on the 23rd. But our realtor is going to talk to the builder of the new house and see if we can start moving some things a day or two earlier. V's got some friends from work to help with the big stuff so we should be fine. I agree...I don't know where the time has gone but I can't believe it is March already! About the different sayings...I too called any soda coke. Everything was coke, and still sometimes I slip and do it. When I moved to CA it seemed like everyone had to make a comment on how I talked or what I said, lol. I started talking different and watched what I said from then on. I still call license plates tags. But it is funny how each place is different and I like the eh too! TAMMY...I forgot that you are our resident nurse! Good to have one on board. MARTI...I'm going to have to check out the dvd you are talking about. I don't think it is something I would do, or should say, could do but I am interested in what it is about. But you are doing a great job! Right now the real estate market is starting to pick up. You and James will find the right place when you start looking...there is lots to think about when moving for sure. JODI...what Tammy said makes so much sense to me. When do you get the results from the bloodwork back? SUE...can't believe you guys are coming back already. Bet you are anxious to get back to your new home. MINDEE...bet that was funny! DD would wait until I went to bed at night to start tumbling around in m y belly and man I swear it felt like she was turning cartwheels. One night she kicked so hard in DH's back he thought I hit him, lol! She kept me up many a night! Glad you are feeling good. To the ladies who asked about the house (Marti, Jane, Sue & Tammy I think, lol)...we are moving to Wichita but it's only about 10 miles from where we are. Closer to V's work, shopping, etc. but that's not the reason we are moving or chose that house. We really like the neighborhood. It is a little bigger house, 1600 sq. ft. of finished living space. There is a laundry room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom to be finished in the basement which will add another 1000 sq. ft. of finished living space. It's framed out and all we have to do is do the drywall, tape, etc. Here's some pictures of it if you want to take a gander. And Jane...I know what you mean about moving while Katie was in Florida. We'll be moving while Josh is gone and that is weird...for us and him. He'll come back to a totally different house and neighborhood. Okay...let's see if the link works... Okay, better get going. Getting ready to head out to the show. Hi to everyone else  Hope everyone is having a great day. Chat with ya's later! |
Christina, love the house!! Your family room looks huge. I love the hardwood floors in the dining area. Congrats again and hope everything goes smoothly for you. A friend of ours has a son also named Josh and they moved into their new home while their Josh was in boot camp. I asked him how he was going to feel coming home to a different house and the sweet guy only said that his concern was that he wasn't going to be there to help his parents and sisters for the move. It really makes you realize how much these boys grow up once they enlist. Your Josh will be thrilled for you, I'm sure!

Christina ~ great house! :) I love the fireplace. It looks really roomie too. I'm sure you're going to enjoy that.
Jane ~ that cake is awsome. So creative! Well girls, i'm going to get some busy work done today. It's what I hate the most. My hubbys getting sore at me because I've messed up and forgot to pay some of our bills. I've been overwhelmed here lately with the every day stresses in life. I told you all about my sons accident. But also for the past few months i've been dealing with a daughter that moved out and is 'feeling her oats' to say the least. Well, she doesn't want to listen to me anymore. She's doing whatever she wants and I've had to cut her off financially but of course not emotionally...xoxo...but it's been so hard on me because i've always been the push over parent. Anyhoo...it's a long story but she's had a taste of the other side and it's been hard to get her to pay attention to common sense. So all this stress is really getting to me and it's put me into some depression ... i think it was that...however....i've gotten far behind on the basic must do's in life. So today i'm going to make an effort to get this back into control. Oh...and on a bright note. Found out my digital scale isn't reliable and I'm actually about a pound or 2 lower than I thought (I weighed on my moms dr. scale) So I should be in onederland sooon....i'm really excited about that! Tomarrow morning I will be weighing in over there just to see how close I am. It's a good motivator for me. Have a wonderful day guys! Thanks for letting me join you all. I know that it'll take me awhile to read and get to know you all. And there's one thing that has bothered me ~ I hope I didn't offend you Mindee when I said 'been there done that'...it sounded kinda cold and that's really not me. But I noticed you said it back to me and maybe I might have offended you by saying that. I think what I meant was the years of having my kids little is so far behind me now. But I really did enjoy it while they were little. I do miss it at times. :) I just wanted you to know I didn't mean to sound cold. Talk to you guys later....Tina |
Just a quick hi  Still sore from surgery, but not as sore as I was a week ago, and not as sore as I was prepared to be  So, it's all good. Hopefully we'll know in a few weeks if this helped and my arm will start getting better. Tons of posts to read here, I'll try to catch up. Sometimes I feel like it's one of those old merry-go-round spinning things they used to have at parks, or a jumprope turning, and you gotta time it out carefully then just jump in :D Talk to you soon...

Hi Ladies ~~ I just wanted to pop in and say hi and hope all of you are safe in these bad storms and tornadoes that are going around today.

Hello to All!! AND I have missed you guys.
It has been crazy at work...I was in Fayetteville, NC all day today and am thrilled to be back home! There is no place like home :-) Marti-- A Maine Coon is the largest domestic cat in the world. They have long hair and very intelligent...even trainable. I will try and post a picture soon. Jane--Your cake sounds wonderful. How do you do a checkered cake?? Sounds hard?? Hope you are well. Sue--Good Luck on your house sale. Are you excited about going back home?? Tina--You are definitley in the right place :-) This is a terrific group of "jaded Ladies" and your are a great addition!! And I agree with whoever said you have to do what works for you. There was a time in my life where weighing everyday worked and now it would make me gain. I only weigh weekly (well ususally) (LOL) I look forward to getting to know you better! Christina--CONGRATS on the sale..I know you have to get in signed, but usually once the haggling is over it is a go....I am so excited for you!! Jodi-Congratulations on your weight loss!!! Sassy- good to see you as well!! Mindee- Glad you figured out what you wanted to do about having your tubes tied..it is a big decision!! Hello to anyone I might have missed-- a big hug to all of you! I am off to get ready for American Idol!! |
Tammy- that is the explaination my dr gave and I didn't really understand it, but I "got it" after hearing you say basically the same way- only a little different. Thanks!
Marti- That's going to be interesting for you to be able to compare your numbers in Oct. Esp. since you are already trying to improve your health. Cristina- My follow up appt with my dr is March 9th. Heck even she made me promise to come back. lol I am even going to make an appt for her to give me a pap when I go in for my results. She got onto me for that too when I told her I hadn't been to my gyn. for about 3 yrs or more. She told me she could do it, or I could go to my gyn- but to GO! Vann- what did you think about the choices to go home on American Idol? I was right on one guy, and one girl. Pretty ticked about Nick going home though cause he got my "hottie" vote. I told my daughter that he was singing to me, cause he was singing a song a couple wks ago and looking at the camera- oh man those EYES!!! lol sigh- oh well HI TO EVERYONE ELSE Well today was a rough one. We laid my cousin to rest and it was so hard. I don't know how she did it, but his wife had made all these picture boards of his life. It was really nice to look back on, but also sad. Anyhow, this week has been pretty weird, I am hoping I can get back on track. I will check in tomorrow. |

I'm baaaaaackkk.... :D
4amy - so glad to see you here! This is a great group for support and friendship, and I look forward to knowing more about you. Welcome aboard! Marti - lol, you are too funny! I hope you got your coffee. Cristina - wow, your house photos are great! Have you decided what colors you're going to use? You'll have so much fun this summer landscaping. I think you'll like the extra room. It's funny, because Neal and I are by ourselves now, and have 1800 sq. feet but seem to need it all, lol. He's hogged the puzzle room, lol. Anyway, I really, really like your house. Tammy - my Mary cleans for me, for money, sometimes, and I have to admit I go around and pick up stuff, too. And I agree, it's money well spent to have the house clean. Although I don't work outside the home, I'm busy so many days, and it's nice to come home to a clean house. Hope you had a fun day today, on your day off. Tina - aww, sounds like you've had so much stress. Big hugs to you, hon. Btw, I feel sure no one took offense at your words. Jodi - today must have been so hard for you! At least this much has been gotten through, right? The funeral home people around here take photos and makes collages, or even DVDs, which is nice. Big hugs for you, too! Katiecat - good to see you here, sweetcheeks! I am praying that your arm will be so much better after this surgery. Loved our chat today! Michelle - we've had tornados around the state, but thankfully, none here. Btw, I caught my avatar flirting with yours, teehee. Vann - we missed you, too! For the cake, I have a plastic divider thingy and that is what makes the checkerboard pattern. My DGDs want me to make one for their preschool soon, lol. Mary usually sends only healthy snacks, so I'm not sure this will get her approval. Mindee - Jackson is kicking Gina like crazy, too. Somedays she's sore from all of it, lol. I sure don't blame you for not leaving the kids with your mom after what happened! Sue - how ya doin'? Jules & Sassy - miss you! I didn't make it to my Body Mind and Soul meeting today, and in fact, didn't go to town at all. I did, however, tackle Mt. Washmore today and came away a victor, lol!! Until we take showers, the hamper is empty! Woohoo! Doesn't take much to make me happy, does it? :D Ciao, ladies! |
Evening Ladies....Quickie here from me. We took Mom out for a nice steak dinner tonight for her non-birthday. (hers is actually Feb. 29th) I am guilty of NOT eating properly. And feeling the worse for it.
DH and I have committed to eating better once we get home. I am already planning daily menus....and not going to buy junk food. Mom is a sweet fan like I am, so she will have to hide her candy. :) My actual downfall is salty snacks, so I will have to allow for something to soothe that beast. AND walk, walk, walk. Just to answer a couple questions....I am ready to go home, but not ready to face bad weather. So, I hope it is beautifully Spring-like when we get there. And I am ready to sell the place here, honestly, it is just getting old. Now, if they can just get it sold quickly and save us a bundle of money...... We pay even for the months we are not here and I would love to have the money for something else. Like cable modem. Gotta go take a Tums and get feeling better. AI surprised me as I thought Antonella would go home, but there are still a few gals I would send home. The guys...I thought Sanjaya would go last week, and here he didn't even go this week. Hi newbies...welcome! |
