hi my name is Rachael im 16 um ive had a eating disorder for as long as i can remember... i was suffering from anorexia for about 4 years... and thats when i gained it all back... to a whopping 190 pounds, and now im trying to loose everything the right way... i still have a poor body image, well worse than when i was anorexic... mainly one thing that i took to heart, that destroyed me.. anyways im doing well, i could be better. this is my first day on this site and it has encouraged me to try hard with my weight loss... wish me luck:P

Hey Rachael! Its great to meet you.

So, how is everyone doing? Personally, i am doing terribly as far as weight loss goes. But if we are talking about weight gain im doing awesome! lol im just kidding. Ive been kind of upset becuase...ok here is the story.
i have never had a regular period. So 2 years ago i was put on birth control, stortly after that i gained 15 pounds. Well, the pills werent working, i was still irregular and so i stopped taking them. That summer yay i lost 16 pounds! I started up a new brand of birth controls 3 months ago (cuz i hadnt had a period for a year, which is when i stopped the old ones). Well, over the past 3 months i have gained 20 pounds.
At first i didnt connect my weight fluctuations to the pills, but it makes total sense. My mom thinks that i am just making up excuses for my weight gain. She is naturally skinny and i can tell by the way that she looks at me that she HATES the fact that i am fat. So, i am going to stop taking my pills after this month. I dont care what my mom says. Does that sound stupid? Im just really frustrated with this.

Yeah, I have heard that birth control pills make you gain weight sometimes. :( Im sorry to hear your having trouble. I agree, I know alot of people who are naturally skinny and they just dont understand. My cousin is 100lbs and eats more than I do! Its not fair. Well my diet is going better. For the past 2-3 weeks Ive been slacking and I gained back 5 pounds and was up to 164 again. But I got back into the swing of things in the past few days and now im at 157. :) Hope to hear from everyone soon!

Hey! How are yall doing? I hope good. I have lost 6 pounds the past 2 weeks, since stopping my birth control, and my spirits are definatly improved. Im working hard at not overeating, but its hard.

HEy all...Well iam back..I would like to welcome everyone..i guess i havent been here in a long time..So far on my Progress I havent lost anything more than the 5lbs.. i have started again and i havent weighed my self.. SO how is everyones progress going?? How much weight have you all lost? and what are you plans and goals for the summer? I think we should have a little challenge..Maybe to lose 5lbs by june? And 10 By july?

Hey Lose 25! Nice to see ya again.
I have had a lot of ups and downs the past couple of months. I am at about 160 right now, but since i stopped birth control the weight should come off easier. My goal is to be 150 by July, which is where i was at before starting birth control (which caused me to gain 20 lbs). For the month of July id like to lose another 10 pounds. Which i think i can do because i will be very active during that month.
I was looking through old pictures today, and i am super motivated to lose weight. Ive been the same height since 5th grade. Cept in the 5th grade i weighed 115. 6-8th grade i weighed between 120-135ish. Now, at the same height, i am 160. I know i cant get back down to 115 because im more developed and curvy than i was back then, but i would love to be that 135 again. And i know i can do it to. I want to be that weight by Christmas.
Goals
June: lose 10 pounds (150)
July: lose 5-10 pounds (140-145)
Augest-November: lose 5-10 pounds (135)
I hope that i can do this.
Lose 25, im totally up for your challenge. I am a competetive person, so competitions and challenges motivate me a lot. Anyone else up for the challenge? Lose 5 pounds by June, 10 by July.
Count me in.

Hey everyone! Im glad everyone seems to be doing well! My total lost as of this moment is 33 pounds, I never though I would be able to get this far, but it just proves to me that im going to be able to go all the way and get to where I want to be. As for the competition I am totally in. I love competition and I feel it really helps me and I need all the help I can get. I would love to get under 150 by my 16th birthday (July 2nd).

Hey you guys...Well i am really disappointed in my self actually i mean i stared in feb and i still only have lost 5lbs.. i fall off the wagon way too easy..Anyways I am up for that challenge as well.. I do want to lose 10 lbs bu july 7th.. Which is when my birthday is..But sometimes i really feel like i wil never lose this weight!....Anyways i was wondering how long did it take you guys to lose that much weight... and what diets are you guys on.. ANd ALSO how when do you all want to reach your goals

Hey Lose25, dont worry about losing only 5 pounds once you have the right mindset the fallbacks will come less and less and the weight will come off faster. I started January 13th and have lost 34 pounds as of this moment BUT I did have a 3 week binge last month that gave me alittle setback. So I probably could have los about 40 pounds by now. For the first 20 pounds or so I followed Weight Watchers by I eventually got tired of tracking the points so recently I havent been following any diet, I have just been eating less than I used to which is not that hard because I get full pretty fast (I think my stomach shrunk). I would like to be at my goal of 130 by sometime in the end of August. What about everyone else?

Hey Bubblebug..Well 30 Pounds is awsome in less than 5 months! I did 5 lbs in about 4 which is a really long time! I have the same goal as well...Which is to be either 130 or 135 bye the end of august. I havent weighed my self yet..But hopefully on tuesday i get to do that. I just joined Tops so that i wont get discouraged and i will be starting that next tuesday so hopefully that works out. Anyways how is everyone doing so far?

Hey guys. :D
I'm Beth - another teenager who hopes to lose some weight with 3FC's support.
My plan is to cut out 6 more pounds of fat. Than bulk up on muscle.
My ultimate goal is to have 15% body fat instead of the 20% that I have now.
I'm the youngest of 2 kids in my family, and a sophomore in high school (15 years young. )
I'm currently battling a heart condition and trying to find my limits in exercise and basketball. <- the main sport I participate in
School's out, so I hope to accomplish my goal by the end of August. (or at least get close to it)
According Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle book that I own, you can cut out .5% body fat a week if your really serious about it.
Which I am.
So, that's my introduction. XD Can you notice that I suck at them?

Hey everyone! Hows it going? Im doing oksy, still struggling to lose the weight that i had gained. Im sitting at 160-162 right now. But i feel like im doing okay.
Ive been playing DDR, and man is that a hard game. I played for like 2 hours today. Its a pretty good workout, especially sense i play it because its fun!

DDR is a really great game to shed pounds/calories while having fun.
It is a little hard to begin with, 100percent - but mine has a workout step thing that keeps off the 8th notes. Because, well, let's just say it's an option for uncoordinated people. xD Your game might have it too. I have DDR MAX 2.

Oh my.. I've been so busy the last month that I haven't even visited the site, let alone the thread! I don't think my weight has changed much, if any. I'm excited for my last exam tomorrow, simply because it means I'll have so much more time on my hands that I can spend biking, walking, running, and just plain being active!

I hope you all have been doing good. :) Hailey, I really would not mind stopping my birth control for the weightloss if I didn't get cramps from ****. :( I take them continuously to prevent having a period, because my time of the month was usually spent in the hospital in intense pain. On the plus side, I don't suffer from monthly bloating, which is nice! LOL :)

hey you guys. I am doing HORRIBLE:stress:
after stopping my birth control i lost 9 pounds, but ive gained most of it back!!! i dont know why!:shrug: im having a terrible time, ive eaten way too much today because after getting on the scale this morning i was so upset! :sorry:Its terrible that i turn to food for comfort, and i really shouldnt, but its so hard not to. So right now i am sitting at about 165. I remember after i had lost some weight last summer i was 150 and i was so upset that i weighed that much. Now i would LOVE to see 150 on the scale.:^:
I have a question: what are yall diets like? What do you eat? How much?

HEy All...Hailey i am sorry you having a bad time..But believe me i messes up too..Big Time.. I have ate nothing for the past week except pizza and dipping sauces and diet coke... I feel horrible..I think my problem is i dont have time to go on a diet.. I work too much and do way more... and so its hard.. Losing weight is like a second job... It needs serious commitment.. I was thinking of quiting my job this summer and just work on losing weight..but i am too much of a workaholic to do that...so anways i am just trying my best.. I moved in with one of my freinds in friday and so were trying to do this together.. anyways for dieting.. i dont follow anything.. i just do my own thing.....How is everyone doing so doing so far? I hope your all doing well...

35 pounds in 6 months is pretty attainable, that's about 6 pounds a month, so you need to stay pretty consistent. Hope it works out :hug: Stay strong

Hey everyone..WELL I AM ABSOLUTLEY SHOCKED!!..I just joined weight watchers yesterday and weighed my self... I WAS 145 pounds!!! I was Shocked... The last time i weighed i was about 155 which means since feb i have lost 10 lbs!!....But the thing is I Dont Feel OR LOOK like as if i lost anything at all!! Has Anyone ever felt this way???..but what i am wondering about is that the scale there wasnt a doctor scale and thats the ones i am used to using...anyways this weight loss just motivated me to do more.. and i wish everyone luck as well...HOw are you all doing so far?
