Evening ladies! Jack is listening to the Rose Bowl and I have knitted quite a bit today so thought I would take a breather and peek in here!

Maggie: Thanks for the phone call. It was lovely talking to you in person. Sorry for the abruptness at the beginning, but it freaked me out a little when you ask for Donna Faye. My grandmother was the onely person who ever called me that. :) Hope your shopping went well!

Jean:  :lol3:  :lol3: Poor Will!!!! It is 8 oz hot water, 1 TABLESPOON OF VINEGAR, 1 tablespoon honey! I read what you wrote to Jack and we both cracked up! Jack, said, "Oh my gosh!" When I read you said equal parts water and vinegar! Jack is coming along and right now his throat isnt' hurting at all. He plans on drinking a cup before he goes to bed.

My swelling is down, but my face is now very sore and dry skinned like a wind burn! Very strange. I slathered on my Oil of Olay lotion on my face and put a bunch of Burt's Bee's lip balm all over my lips and just above and below them and will continue to keep a lot of moisture on my face and lips and see if it rights itself. At least I don't have pinkeye and the swelling is down.

As you can see, I have my first goal for the month of January. I know that is a bit over 2 lbs a week, but I know that I usually lose fast for awhile so I gave myself a little more to work towards. I plan on getting up with Jack in the morning and getting on the treadmill for 20 minutes in the morning then either a walk or 20 minutes at night to start. I have to get worked up to longer again. I have taken myself off sugared soda so I expect tomorrow and the next day will be headache time, but it will pass. I have lots of fresh and frozen good stuff to eat and lean meats. So I guess I am all ready for this. I hope we can all get some real losses wracked up this year and for some of us get to goal.

Everyone have a good evening and I will talk to you in the morning.

GOOD EVENING MAGNOLIAShttp://www.smileycons.com/img/bonus/1212.gif

I hope everyones first day of 2007 has been a nice one. It was fun getting on my http://www.smileycons.com/img/bonus/1208.gif and yacking with my cyberfriends today. I also talked with my favorite WW leader in TN and she is just as charming as ever. Got some shopping done for necessities and a new heater which was definitely a necessity. Our old little ones had just outlived their usefulness and this is winter isn't it. I put a roast and some red potatoes in my crock pot before we left and it was nice and done just perfect for dinner.

FAYE Sorry I startled you but you do know that is a southern thing to use both names because you live there. http://www.smileycons.com/img/variety/g-lol.gifhttp://www.smileycons.com/img/variety/g-lol.gif
So glad that you are feeling better and that face of yours can get back to exact ~ that Oil of Olay is good stuff!

JEAN Shame on your neighbor, he should know better than do that where he lives. http://www.smileycons.com/img/variety/g-melon.gif After all he isn't out in the country next to a fenced in heard of cattle like we are. Enjoy the rest of time you have off from work.

I am going to get out my walking shoes. . . http://www.smileycons.com/img/variety/g-purplehat.gifand start a program tomorrow after I get back from getting my hair cut.

Have a nice evening.

Good morning gals! Hope all is well in your world. My poor dear husband is so sick and has to go to work. He has vacation now, but clings to it for our vacation and Christmas the end of the year and of course the new baby coming. I have been urging him to at least try and get into our doctor. Using one of my mom's favorite euphemisms, it will take a Philadelphia lawyer to get an appointment.

I got up at 5, cleaned the bathrooms upstairs and dusted upstairs, am finishing up my hardboiled eggs to put in the fridge for some breakfast meals, at 7:30 am getting on the treadmill then breakfast. I have taken my vitamin and my citrucil (UGH) and am ready for the day to get started on getting these lbs off!

I am having fruit, yogurt and a hard boiled egg for breakfast with water and 20 minutes this morning on the treadmill.

I am so anxious for my yarn to get here so I can start the two sweaters. I am diligently working on the baby blanket and red hat too, but I really want to see what the yarn is like for the sweaters.

Jean: How thrilling for you to get to watch some punk kid pee on the lawn! Gracious, how lazy can you get, they do have bathrooms in his house I imagine!

Maggie: Hope those walking shoes are in place and ready to go places this year! We are going to make this our best year ever. I am determined to let nothing get in my way anymore. I picked up the current copy of People (one of our 3FC posters is in the article) and it is about people losing weight without surgery. One lady paid $70,000 to go through the program at Duke I think it was, but she got the weight off. That program is really stringent (they call it the rice diet and for good reason) but the whole thing was very interesting and encouraging.

I am kind of "out there" as you know, and I have never been one to be ashamed of my size or anyone elses for that matter. I have lately been lamenting what it would be like to be normal size and be able to do things easily I cannot now, ie climb the stairs for one, fit comfortably in an airplane seat without a belt extender, not have to figure out where bathrooms are because my bladder won't hold water well anymore, etc. I would like to buy nice things off the rack at stores easily and not have to hunt so much, but as far as how I look to others, it doesn't bother me.

Well, looks like I only have 10 minutes so I might as well go ahead and get started. I wanted to work on the baby's stuff quite a bit today and maybe finish the hat so I can get it felted.

Everyone have a wonderful day and let's make it a perfect eating day for us too! We will take it one day at a time.

Happy New Year, everyone! Starting my shorter days today so it was novel not to come to work until 9:30.

Had a great day on my program yesterday - Curves and a good food day in the works for today.
