BOB: Yes, he did. Laura told him if he went barefooted, he had to have a pedicure, and then he was not so adamant about the bare feet....

Just popping in before bed......I have to get up early to get in my curves work-out before taking dh into town. He is getting an epi in his back. Then they have made an appointment for another Orthopedic specialist to look at what they first one did....... and they think he has another pinched nerve. I feel so sorry for him when he is going through all this pain. But it may end up being something that he just has to live with. Arthritis is all through his body, and really built up in his back.

I walked 2.4 miles today with Buddy......really didn't feel like I had much of a workout yesterday at Curves, but boy were my leg muscles sore today. I think I am going to like this. I haven't felt like I was getting much out of my TBT for the last few months. I am really going to work hard on my stomach and legs......they have just ballooned up since the lovely "Menapausal" thing started..........There is one machine where you have these padded bars resting on your shoulders and you do squats........this is what my trainer said was her worst liked machine......but I think I am going to like it very much.....we will see. I am planning on doing a bit more than 30 minutes, since I usually work-out for at least 40. I want to get in as much as I can before we leave......can't believe that we will be leaving in one week.....I am getting very excited. Went and picked up Vicky's birthday bottle of wine today. The label turned out great. It has birthday balloons and hats, and says "To our special daughter on her special day. Happy Birthday Vicky----2006, Love, Dad and Colleen."
Well gals, I had better hit the hay......will try and get here tomorrown night some time too.

Good Morning! Its Wonderful Wednesday....

I am up drinking my espresso, and will be leaving for school in a little while. I have my Jamaican friend, who is a calligrapher, coming to talk to my classes today, so I don't have to prepare lessons for the day.

Last night, I made Jamaican patties to carry for lunch today. We ate some for dinner too. Yum! (and NOT legal... )

I need to go get dressed, so I will check in later!

Monet: I LOVED your pictures, by the way...what a beautiful family! I love your daughter's haircolor. The cake was a triumph!

Gator: You and Monet are both amazing with your cakes. I would have never taken on that stress...having your daughter's wedding is big enough, then add in that you're having it at your house...then you're making the cake...and you make it sound so simple! June Cleaver would be proud...

Here is something for Wonderful Wednesday:

I decided to hop on the metal monster, since I did not weigh on Monday, just to see how bad the damages were from the week and weekend of eating off plan, grabbing whatever was close at hand....

Would you believe I LOST? I am down two pounds! Go figure.....

YEAH Monet!!! Doing the happy dance for you!

I had a NSV yesterday, apparently with several others! The bowl of hershey's kisses that I successfully avoided yesterday, is still there this morning almost full! We talked about them at lunch yesterday, but I did not see any takers! So, good for all of us! There are several that I work with that are also losing weight with ww or whatever and we try to support each other. It makes it so much easier when you have others that understand. That's what I LOVE about this board!

Have any of the rest of you noticed that you kind of get into a rut sometimes? Like this week that I'm seeing a loss, I've been eating pretty much the same thing for breakfast and lunch. Almost scared that if I try something different the loss will stop. I guess I'm going to get bored soon if I don't change it up a little, huh?

Tonight we are going to have lasagne with ww noodles and maybe some stuffed zucchini. Sean is gone on his field trip till Friday eve., so we're having things that he doesn't care for while he's gone! Tomorrow night will be ground turkey and bean burritos! Yummy!

Good Morning Ladies.

Hope everyone is great this hump day. :carrott:

I am trying to get a cold or something. My throat is raw and I am coughing my head off. Doesn't seem like a cold, but we will see. I coughed all night long.

Went to the rheumatologist this morning. Added another drug to see if that helps. Good news was my cholesterol was great, 140. She said something about being a 2 and 4 was the acceptable. They took 6 viles of blood to check something in my bones. She said they have discovered that we need much more vitamin D than we get.

Made it to the gym last night. I didn't want to go, but made it about an hour. Towards the end, my head was really heavy and aching. I fell asleep around 9 on the couch.

Nicolee, I'm glad someone appreciated your cookie. Good idea to get it out of the house.

Gator, you did a wonderful job on the cake. It looks so professional. You should be so proud of yourself.

Thin, congrats on your loss. Stay away from those kisses. They taste horrible. It's good that you have others at work to keep you accountable. You can get support when you feel weak.

Talitha, I think Moes has a taco salad w/o the shell. I was shocked about Edgar. I really thought he and Cholee would get together. I think he was in love with her.

Monet, Your cake is beautiful too. Wow what a veggie tray. The presentation is beautiful. Loved seeing the pic of the family. You look wonderful. Yor DD looks beautiful. Did they go away for a honeymoon? Do they live close to you? Congrats on the loss. Keep it up

Thunder, I never thought of breading fish with Triscuits. Wonder if it would work with chicken?

Country, lots of arm exercise. Fun. Hope the soreness goes away quickly. Have fun with your grandbaby.

Tech, you did a great job at McDonalds

Teensy, I feel sorry for your DH. Arthritis pain is the pits. I know. What a cute idea about the wine bottle. You are getting lots of exercise with the walking and Curves.

Have a great day.

Solly,

I don't see where it would hurt to try breading the chicken with trisquits. You have to soak the fish in milk about 30 min before breading them. Next time I do that I am going to bake them. And am going to try the chicken with it to.

Just popping in to say hi! I make breading for fish and chicken out of triscuits, too! Mine is a mixture of WW bread toast and triscuits. After the toast has cooled, I put it in small chunks in the blender and add a dozen or to triscuits to it. It is VERY yummy. Then I fry the chicken or fish in a pan thickly coated in olive oil. I have to use two spatulas for the fish so it doesn't break up when I flip it.

Today I'm making a big pot of chicken soup. Three chicken breast halves, three thighs, few spoons of boulion, carrots, onions, salt, pepper and thyme. I'll make some WW pasta later and pour it over the noodles. And I'll have it for lunch and dinner tomorrow, too.

Solly: Take my word...Zicam Cold Remedy. I get the nasal gel. Every four hours, you put some in your nose and IF you still get a cold, it will be a weak one and not last long. Try it. If it doesn't work, I'LL give you your money back!!

Thin: I've been in a rut for...a year? I still like this way of eating, though. I just want to be healthy...smaller would be nice, but healthy is what its all about at the end of the day...imho.

Monet: Go figure!! Your body was probably happy with the amount of food in you all week and didn't go into the fabled starvation mode! That's my only explaination...this happens to me, too.

Where's Cindy been lately?

Colleen: Step up the pace at curves if you feel you can!! Might as well kick yourself in the hiney while you're there!!

Crystle: I wish I could do some yardwork. We still have snow to melt.

BOB: Honk next time you drive by!!

Okay...gotta stir my soup!!

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!

I got the cutest funny in the email today and I want to share...

Wrong E-mail Address

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a
particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where
they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.

Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel
schedules, so the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on
Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so
he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left
out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error,
sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her
husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory
following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email
expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first
message, she screamed and fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and
saw the computer screen which! read:

To: My Loving Wife

Subject: I've Arrived

Date: October 16, 2004

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now
and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just
arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been
prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then!
Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P.S. Sure is hot down here!

HERE'S ANOTHER ONE

Heart Operation

A man was brought to Mercy Hospital and taken in for coronary surgery. The operation went well and, as the groggy man regained consciousness, he was reassured by a Sister of Mercy, who was waiting by his bed.

"Mr. Smith, you're going to be just fine," said the nun, gently patting his hand. "We do need to know, however, how you intend to pay for your stay here. Are you covered by insurance?"

"No, I'm not," the man whispered hoarsely.

"Can you pay in cash?" persisted the nun.

"I'm afraid I cannot, Sister."

"Well, do you have any close relatives?" the nun essayed.

"Just my sister in New Mexico," he volunteered. "But she's a humble spinster nun."

"Oh, I must correct you, Mr. Smith. Nuns are not 'spinsters.' They are married to God."

"Wonderful," said Smith. "In that case, please send the bill to my brother-in-law."

Ladies, I've got to fix some supper..I'll be back a little later for replies!

BOB: Those were cute!!

My soup turned out GREAT! I added some cannellini beans (the white ones) and made some brown rice and poured it over the rice. Dee-lish!! I made so much I put some in a bowl for my friend around the corner that isn't feeling too well. I'll have plenty for lunch tomorrow and dinner too! At least it's legal!!

Shelley and I watched Harry Potter for the second time after school today. I just love this movie...the best one yet!!

Okay...gotta run!!

Evening, everyone! School went well. My Jamaican friend was a big hit with the kids and the teachers. He wrote each child's name in calligraphy, which thrilled them. I went directly from school to pick up Tom at the car radiator shop so he could leave his vehicle to be repaired. We got home, and James came in a few minutes after we did, and suggested we go out to dinner his treat. So, we did. We went to a Mexican place he likes that is very cheap, but really good. I got a chicken fajita salad and did not eat the bowl. I did however, eat chips with cheese dip. Then, when we got home, I had a beer. I have been drinking one or two beers a day since the wedding, which is so unlike me. We got this keg though, and it has to be drunk up before it goes bad. Its weird..it just seems to keep going and going and going....

The honeymooners are back. They came back this evening. Someone asked where they were going to live....they are going to stay here for a while. At least until they can decide if they are going to try and move to Vermont for a while or not.

I ought to write individual replies, but I am still SO tired, I can hardly focus on what I am doing. I promise to get that done tomorrow.

So, I think I will go get ready for bed, and hopefully, FINALLY catch up on my sleep...I am DOG tired!

Real quick hello from me too tonight. I want to be sure to catch the finale of Project Runway.

The wedding cakes and groom cake were awesome! You are both so very talented and creative. Thanks for sharing the photos, I was really looking forward to seeing them.

I'm going to make the Creamy Cauliflower Soup. I remembered to get most of the ingredients and I'll probably do it this weekend. I bought a very decent Butternut Squash soup when I was at Trader Joe's the other day. I don't know if Cup A Soups are legal but I found sometimes when I'm really hungry at work, it's quick and not too many calorie snack for me.

So far I've gotten rid of 2 lbs. from the 3 lbs. I gained over the weekend. I'm going to try to be much more careful next weekend.

Hope you all have a very good night.
