Needing basic info

I posted this on the information board but I don't think anyone reads there, so I'm going to repost it here:

This is all very interesting to me. I think I'll go buy the book tonight, but was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any limits to the foods you eat? Or is it an "eat until satisfied" type program. I am a WW person, have been doing Core (loosely) for several months. This seems to be very similar to the foods on WW Core, basic whole and unprocessed foods.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Kathy!

I thought I had responded to your question...(scratching head)

Sugarbusters is a more 'until satisfied' program. There are foods that are NOT allowed. These include white flour, white sugar, white potatoes, white rice, beets, corn, pineapple... I am probably forgetting somethings too. Whole grains are ok, and low fat, and moderate amounts of fruit and lean meats are encouraged. It is based on the Glycemic Index, but is a bit looser and easier to follow than some other plans like it.

If you join us over on the weekly support forum:

where most of the group who follow Sugarbusters post regularly, you will find plenty of answers to any questions you have. I hope to see you over there!
