Good Friday Morning.
Glad this week is over. No big plans for the weekend other than on Sunday we are doing the AMerican Cancer Society's 3 mile walk. Tomorrow my SIL is coming to put the wiring in for our hot tub and then we have to get the patio extended over 6'. I can't get in it for at least another week anyway so I'm not pushing too hard.

Confessiontime, We went to a Mexican rest last night. I did pretty good by having steak fajitas w/o the wraps and DH ate half of it any way. Had a few chips, less then I would normally have. Had 4 1/2 margaritas. Just love those things. Back on track today.

Bf will be cinnamon toast
Lunch chef salad, apple
Dinner: ? probably fish

Toni, WTG on the pie. I knew you could do it.

Monet, how nice of the Curves lady to bring you that dinner. I admire people who can speak at a family funeral or heck any funeral. I would be a blubbering idiot the whole time. Hope your dr visit is not painful.

Deb, have fun at the dentist Hope the car problems are not serious.

Julia, those receipes sound yummy.

Have a great day.

MORNING EVERY BUDDY!!

This morning I slept until 10 a.m. and wouldn't have gotten up then, but TIPPY smacked me in the face to let me know it was time to go out! She's got a wicked right hook!

I'll be back later for some replies....

Jack-k- WOAH! 4 1/2 margaritas?!!

Hey, guys. I'm fixing to leave the house in just a bit for my usual Friday errand-running. I got my workout in for the day, Ramp it Up. I had a LC smoothie and then scrambled eggs with ham cubes and cheese. Don't know how the rest of the day's menu will go but it will be legal. Oh yea, I was back to my low of 159 this AM. I don't have much to report so I'll check in later. Have a great weekend!

Monet made a big mistake...she got on the scale this morning! I am down one from last Sunday, but still up about eight from when I went into the hospital. I realize its from the swelling, but still, I am up 28 pounds from what I was in June. Its SO frustrating! I was hoping I would lose some after the surgery, but no luck.

I am feeling rather good, except my incision still feels achy, and tight.

Food so far today:

B- Oat bran muffin, 3 prunes, 3 dried apricots, 2 cups coffee with cream
S-banana
L-leftover chicken soup

Dinner will more than likely be leftovers from last night's Chinese food.

I need to figure out what I can get over my swollen belly to wear to the doctors...

Later!

Heart, Congrats on seeing 159 again. Now keep it going in the right direction.

Monet, My dr said it could take up to 6 months to actually get rid of the swelling and fluid. I thought it was amazing that all my stretch marks were gone on my stomach, but after the swelling and fluid left, there they were. Hang in there Don't get on tht scale for a month or so.

Good day:

No time for replies....I just wanted to check in and say that I am still alive. Yesterday was a crazy day....we left here at 7:45 a.m. and didn't get home until almost 6:30.....and it was raining all day.

Eating has been fair, not so bad, but not totally OP either. I did workout on Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs, and I will be going to the gym when Lane wakes up from her nap. I won't be going tomorrow since we will be going to the Pumpkiin Festival.

Well, I hope to be better about replies next week. I have managed to keep on top of reading though.

Take care,
Nat

Good afternoon...

I think I am close to the time of the month again because I can feel that I am a little stress over NOTHING, not to mention short fused! Argh! Time to pray more. DD and I are slowly cleaning places that I have not dare to touch for a long time such as the entertainment center...lol. We cleaned and organized that this morning and it is so good to see no visible dust there...lol. Sometime today, I want to do a quick cleaning of the master bath and floor. So, that's my agenda. How boring...lol.

I called my family dr again about my yeast infection. It is back again just like expected. So, we finally decided on me taking diflucan but for 2 days instead of one day. He said that should keep the yeast infection away during 1 more month of my antibiotic. In addiction to that, I am going to either eat more yogurt or just get some acidophilis (sp?) pill from the pharmacy to help balance the "flora" in my system. Darn antibiotics!! Now I know what yeast infection is like

Here's my menu for today :

Breakfast : Leftover pancakes and scrambled eggs from yesterday. Water.

No snack.

Lunch : Meatloaf, leftover brown rice pilaf and mixed green salad.

Snack : Mixed fruits.

Dinner : Meatloaf or meatloaf sandwich, mixed green salad or green beans.

MONET : I have heard of Tortilla Soup but haven't watch it. I know you feel bad you can't be there to help your sister but she knows your heart

JACK-K : Yes, 4 1/2 margaritas?? *roll eyes*...lol. I have never drank margaritas but it sounds yummy!

BOB : No wonder Tippy smacked you! 10am?? LOL. Glad you had a good rest, you body needs it

HEART : WTG, you broke into the 150's club, great job!

MONET : Hide that scale! Give your body sometime. I am sure you will lose eventually. {{{hugs}}}

Jess is watching a Dr Seuss tape and she just loves it. We found it while we were cleaning the entertainment center...lol. I better go check on her. Good day everyone!

Bob, you should be well rested. Hope that sleep makes you well.

Nat, have fun at the pumpkin festival.

Julia, I took diflucan once a week before each treatment and then for 7 days after each treatment. I still got the thrush (yeast infection in my mouth). Hopeif works for you.

Won't be on this weekend, so have a great one. Talk to you Monday. Plan to be op

Hey everyone! I have a real belly button again! Woo hoo! It looks good, even with the overall swelling. I feel achy, but pretty good. Its hard to figure out which doctor to listen to! This one tells me I should be up and walking around most of the day...the GYN who did the hyst tells me I should be resting most of the day, and getting walking in frequently, but not to go up and down the stairs more than once or twice a day for another week! Guess I will shoot for somewhere in the middle!

Tom is off jogging. Before he left, he got me another bowl of soup. My stomach was growling all the way to the doctor's office and back! I drank a full bottle of water on the way home too. I need to increase my water in hopes it will help flush all this swelling out.

So, I am tired and ready to chill in my recliner for a few.... hope everyone has a great weekend!

Just kind of a fly by. Went out of town grocery shopping. It was the kind of day that was really to much on me. My heart trouble cause me to get tired really easy and today was one of them. Came home and slept a bit. So now I have a nice quiet evening ahead of me. DH is at work. I'm disappointed I can't find almond flour around here. Its really hard some times living in a rural area. Lots of times theres products out there that everyone can get but we can't here. Oh well... Julia your recipes look so good. I'm makeing crab legs and a cheesecake this week end for my DH birthday. The cheesecake will be legal. And might make baked sweet potatoes with it and a salad. Monet- Sounds like everyday you're doing a tiny bit better, I'm so glad. oh gosh I missed a whole page... Sorry. but got to run..

I just finished dinner a while ago. I shared a meatloaf sandwich with dd and a mixed green salad. I treated myself to a small scoop of ice-cream with some walnuts. I think I overdo the walnuts as it kept me full even until dinner time. This is the first time I had meatloaf sandwich, I like it! Thanks Toni for reminding me about it.

Tonight, Jess will go to sleep early and she will snooze off quickly as she didn't nap this afternoon. After that, it is all MINE! MINE! HA!HA! HA! LOL. I must be playing too much with dd...lol. I meant to say my time, all the time to myself, love it! I believe Kate and Leopold (sp?) will be on at TBS. I usually watch Stargate SGI and Atlantis but they are all repeats at this moment so I will have to find something else to watch. Oh, I just remember, "What Not To Watch" on TLC tonight as well. Looks like I will be busy later

PANCHO : Wow, you had a busy day. Hope you were able to sit down and rest after the kids are asleep. I plan to do so tonight Pumpkin Festival sounds great! Have fun!

JACK-K : I really don't know if Diflucan will work but at this point, I guess any relief is good One more month...arghh!!

MONET : Yeah! Welcome back bellybutton!! I agree with you. If it was me, I will do a little exercise but not overdo. Enjoy your movie night with Tom *wink*

TONI : I am 30 years old and I get exhausted quickly. I am terribly unfit, what a shame!! I am glad you have a good rest. Enjoy your quiet time tonight as I will enjoy mine Since you can't find Almond flour, the only thing I would do is make your own. Just put some whole almonds into the food processor and grind it until it is fine. Yesterday, I made my own bread crumbs because I ran out. It was not as troublesome as I thought it would be. I plan to make more next week and store it in a container. Another source is to buy almond flour online although I do not know which store. Just do a search and you should find some. However, making your own seems to be the cheapest and easier way anyway. Oh my, cheesecake, my dh loves cheesecake especially NY style. Your birthday meal sounds yummy! Oh, did you make meatloaf for your hubby?

Okay, dd wants to go out to play and it is getting dark. Will have to keep it short. Will check it later or tomorrow.

We got Tortilla Soup at our favorite restaurant, and had it for dinner before watching the movie, Tortilla Soup. Fun! The movie was really good, so I recommend it. If you want to see the Asian version, its called Eat Drink Man Woman. The cooking scenes were fabulous. It made me sad that I could not go do some creative cooking! And the kitchen..oh to have such a fabulous kitchen! So, today's menu was:

B- oat bran muffin, 3 prunes, 3 apricots 2 cups of coffee with cream
S- banana
L- chicken soup
S- chicken soup
D- Tortilla soup, a bit of refried beans

TONI: You can make almond flour in a food processor. You take raw almonds, and process them until they are very fine and powdery. Look online, and you can find it cheap in a number of places if you don't want to try and make your own.

BOB: Are you out of your ever-loving mind? A picture of my belly button? They would ban me from this site for pornography if I did that! Its awfully scary to look at!

KENG: Hey, I just had major surgery...no winks needed here... I think I will continue my walking, increasing it. The word exercise sounds too strenuous for what I am able to do. It takes about 2 to 4 weeks for the internal stitches to heal, so any straining before then can rip them and do major damage. Its so hard to know how much is enough, or too much!

Oh my gosh, I almost cried!!! The movie was so nice...ahhh.... I mean, Kate & Leopold....lol. I almost forgot how much I love Fairy Tales and love movies. I almost forgot how much I love romance and movies about prince charming. Growing up, I have always daydream of a wonderful fairytale love story. The movie really brought lotsa old feelings back. Oh, Leopold is good-looking but what made me so touched was how gentlemen he was in taking care of Kate. What a man!! LOL. Okay, I still need a few moments to be brought back to reality...lol.

BOB : Have you watched Kate and Leopold?

MONET : LOL...when I winked, it was because dinner and a movie with hubby sounds romantic. As far as being active, just do whatever you feel comfortable with. You can tell better than anyone. Start little and and slowly move up.

Dh should be home any min, so I better go. Nighty night!

Toni - I could never live in a rural area unless the UPS man could get to me. I mean for deliveries. Of merchandise!! bobsredmill.com has almond flour, plus a boatload of other healthy products. Actually rural sounds good right now. I live outside of my city limits, but still from almost a mile away I can hear the freeway traffic swooshing by all the time.

Monet - At least they didn't keep you in the hospital. When I had my c-section they kept me in for 5 days because I could not keep any food or liquids down, finally they gave up and sent me home. I thought I would jump out the window. At home you can relax better even if your body is not back to comfort yet.

Julia - yeast, what a drag. Hope it clears up soon.

BOB - mind if I take over the movie recommendations for tonight? How about:
Harvey
Brother From Another Planet
The Gods Must Be Crazy
Strictly Ballroom
The Secret of Roan Inish
I could go on forever, BOB you'd better take this job back!

Happy Weekend to everyone! -Ruby
