KIKI, please join us over on the SB WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD where everyone will see your post as this is where we tend to congregate the most and more people will reply.

As for your question, are you sure you're eating enough? Not eating enough is just as bad as eating too much.

Harder to lose the older we get!

Hi Redhead,
I am 57 and I agree completely the older one gets, the harder it is to
lose! :(
However, I did make my mind up 6 days ago, to begin the Sugar Buster plan and I have lost 6 pounds following it. I figure it is water loss, but I am pleased to see the scales move, no matter what kind of weight it is! :D
My e-mail is: [email protected]
If you would like to contact me personally, and we can turtle along with this plan, since we are older. I know the younger chicks can lose faster than we can. :?:
Good Luck to you!
Jo Ann in TEXAS

i've been on this diet for a little over 5 weeks....and i feel good about what im eating....but i hate that i can't lose any. or if i do lose weight, it is in my upper body...which needs hardly any weight loss....all my weight needs to be lose in my lower body. it's hard...i know how you feel about your knees...both of mine are screwed up and it hurts to run. i've also been so busy lately i havent been able to exercise too much...but in the next week or so my life should get less hectic. keep in touch. ~kiki

Hi to all of you! Hey, I know how you feel. I have been struggling to lose for six years. I have thyroid problems and insulin resistance, and its just the pits! But at least I feel better eating right, and exercising helps me feel more energetic. I am 51, and I am also figuring my age is a factor in the almost impossible quest for weight loss.

I wish you all would come over to the Weekly Support thread. THere are LOTS of us over there, who do SB. Some have been really wonderfully successful, losing over 100 pounds! Lots of great people and great advice, and encouragement there. Please come over and join us! Its under the Support area...ok? see ya soon!

i just have to keep telling myself how long it takes to lose weight...a friend of mine is doing a diet and she didn't see a dramatic loss until almost 4 months after she had been on the strict diet. i haven't been exercising as much either lately....it's just frusterating to go day by day on a diet and not see dramatic changes. it's just something we do...when really weight loss just takes time and patience. which i am very short with patience...but im going just fine with this diet. i just really wish i could see changes right now...after 7 weeks of being on the diet. i get to the point some days where i don't want to look in the mirror because i think i am too big for my age. and my problem is i have a teeny upper body....and a large lower body. i hate that too! it drives me crazy! has anyone been on this diet for a while and they've seen dramatic changes....but the first like 10 weeks didnt see any? i just want to know if im doing something wrong or if other people have had this problem in the past. thanks!

teeny on top is healthier....

I am the so-called apple shape. Heavy thru the middle (more like a keg) no I don't drink...LOL
But I'm at a high risk for heart disease. pre-cursers: apple body shape, family history, diabetes, high BP, and high cholest.

So I have to do this. Way to unheathy at 44.
I hope you feel a little better now. I'm depressed :( . It's my own fault. They've been telling me for years. :blah: :blah: :blah:
On the bright side, I quit smoking a yr ago :D That has to go in the positive column.
So hang in there :cheer:

It's ok...just stay upbeat and positive and I'm sure you will do just great! My problem is I haven't exercised for a month now....and now since I haven't, I am too lazy to get back out there and keep putting it off. I did start doing Pilates last night though...I'm hoping if I do that for a few weeks than I'll really start seeing the results. Good luck and I know how you feel! The weight never leaves my lower body! Just keep up the good work and I'll be here for your support or to talk if you want.

Its been a few days since I've posted, Hi everyone. things are moving along. Finally started some exercise. Slowly though. My mind wants to do more but the body says"that enough" waiting for test results. Very anemic and makes me tired but SB is definitely helping. Concentrating on the dark greens and avoiding those sugar spikes must be helping. 4# to my 1st 10# goal. (lots of 10# goals to go) But I've got to stick with it. Glad you're all here. Thanks, DonnaDonna
