Staples We Keep On Hand

People ask what we keep on hand often, so I thought I would start a thread for it. Here's some of mine

IN THE FRIDGE:
String Cheese
Carrot Sticks
Apples
Oranges
Assorted Fresh Veggies in ziplocks ready to grab and go
BabyBel- Mini cheeses
Yogurt
All Fruit Spread
Whole Wheat Tortillas
Cottage CHeese
Natural Ground Peanuts (Instead of peanut butter)
Bowl of Hard boiled Eggs
Black Olives

IN THE PANTRY:
Sugar Free Pudding Mixes
Almonds and Pecans for snacks
SPlenda
Agave Nectar
Whole Wheat Flour
WW Pancake Mix
WW Bread
Black Beans
Garbanzo beans
Lentils
Barley
Brown Rice
WW Pastas
Diced Tomatoes
Tomato Puree (NOT SAUCE)

I don't know if that will help anyone. I'm a hardcore 'Made From Scratch' type. Hope some others will post their staples, too. I could use some new ieas

I eat salads alot so I use bacon bits, bagged salad, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, boiled eggs, lunchmeat, cheese, etc..
My fave dressing is Kraft's Lite Done Right- three cheese ranch dressing.

I snack on nuts, Smucker's PB, boiled eggs, cheese, triscuits with dip, SF pudding, Slim Jim's, SF ice cream, Blue Bunny NSA yogurts, sometimes 72% chocolate or Russel Stover's SF candy. I like oranges, apples with PB. Celery filled with PB, or pimento cheese, or tuna salad.

Breakfast is either eggs and maybe NSA bacon(Gwaltney), or fruit with NSA yogurt, or some Fiber One or Atkins brand cereal.

Lunch varies- can be leftovers, or salads, sandwiches- my fave bread is Nature's Own Wheat N' Fiber bread, it has 7 grams of carbs per slice.

While in town--Wendy's chili is good, along with their Taco Supremo Salad(don't eat the chips). Hardee's makes a low carb burger that I plan to try soon, lol. Also, Subway now has an Atkin approved sandwich/wrap(still haven't tried). Fried chicken without the skin from KFC. Taco Bell has their taco salads(don't eat the shell). McDonald's has premium and legal salads. My fave is eating out at my local Mexican restaurant- I always order the chicken fajitas with all the toppings. Just skip the tortillas. I also like buffets where you can make salads, have a big selection of meats and veggies. And they usually have SF dessert.

This is a wonderful thread! Thanks for posting. I've been lurking these past few months since I can't post regularly. Having side threads makes it easier to get information and to jump in :-)

I've been doing SB's since Sept. 03 and am now down 34lbs. I would say the lists posted so far are pretty much what I have too. It's just reassuring to see what others are doing too :-)
