Cloud,
I'm soooooooo glad to see you over here! I saw the upheaval (sp?) on the other board....WELCOME TO OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE 3FC'S BOARD!!!! Please make yourself at home.... Our weekly board is the BEST place to post since it's where we all gather...there is ALWAYS someone around to answer your questions... SB is a great program when it's done right...remember the 3 gram rule on sugar, leave out the nasty white stuff, eat a lower fat protein, and you've got it made! Set youself a limit on calories (totally different from Atkins) and you'll be on your way. ONCE AGAIN....WELCOME BOB |
What is the 3 gram rule?
Hi there,
I'm new here. I don't know much about the SB diet. I'm on Atkins right now and am going to go buy the SB book tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what the 3 gram rule is? Thanks a bunch, Jenn :) |
a big differance of sb is low saturated fats, veggies, fruits, whole grain breads.
you must eat portions sizes, never more than a plate full, not to over extend to the rims. use breads carefully. |
The 3gram rule is not to eat anything except dairy products with more than 3g of sugar. Dairy has natural milk sugars that are ok.

I just finished reading the SB book and I have a question. No where in the book does it indicate how many calories to eat. If it did, I missed it. I think I really need this guideline or I'll blow it. I didn't calculate the calories in the sample menus. Do I just stick to these and not worry about the calories?

Hi...the SB book only says to watch your portions. Several of us who have been doing this for awhile are counting calories. The amount of calories you need to eat, based on your wt, ht, and activity level, to lose is something you need to determine. I combine WW with SB and basically over 175 you can eat up to 1400 calories a day. Under 175 drops to 1200. www.fitday.com is a website I have used in the past to see how many calories I should eat to lose 1-2lbs per week. But as I said. SB doesn't say.
