Default The way you all do posts here --

Wondering if you all don't have the space in here where those that want to post or have questions to have their own thread -- why do you use this space here versus the space allotted to Sugar Busters over in the low carb forum?

I've been over there on the Atkins forum and sometimes in one day there'll be over 3 pages of questions, answers, comments, etc. and they don't have any space limitations or freeze ups.

This is a difficult way to get a quick answer here but the other board is just about a ghost town because everyone is squeezing in over here.

I don't understand why you guys would stay here instead of moving to a bigger space and utilizing that.

I don't quite understand you question at all. You can easily post a new thread if that is what you wish, there are no size limitations anywhere on the website.

As for SB here, SB is here because SB is NOT low carb! Why put it with low carb when it's not. SB has a very large area of the 3FC, all it's own. Those who do not know the forum very well are probably posting questions about SB there and probably haven't looked elsewhere in the forum, that or they are misinformed about what SB is all about.

You can easily get a very quick answer on our boards, that I know. We post mostly on the SB WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD which is dated and a new board is started each Monday.

If you have any questions, e-mail me @ [email protected], but once again, I really don't understand what you've mentioned in your post, esp. about limitations and freeze ups!

I am getting used to the weekly threads over here, but I did spend some time on the low carb forum for a while and they do a new thread every day. It sure seemed a bit easier to navigate but I also see the advantages of doing it weekly. Have you ever done daily threads here? Just wondering.

Sorry, I'm confused as well...we have our OWN SPACE and are NOT CONNECTED with the LOW CARB BOARD....
Our weekly board is very easy to get around on...sorry you're having such a bad time.

I have to agree with Charlies Angel, this board is confusing, especially for newbies. I kept seeing refererences to this board and had checked it out several times, but there appeared to be only two or three new posts every week. It wasn't until last night that I realized that what y'all refer to as the "weekly support board" is actually a thread titled "Poll:Sugar Busters Weekly Support Board 5/19-5/25" on the weekly support board. And, since that thread is headed with a poll, I didn't realize it was a thread that everyone posts to. I just thought it was a poll and that the replies had to do with the poll.

As for Debelli's question on where Charlies Angel got the idea that space is limited, she probably read this post by Monet320 in the thread "I don't understand..." posted by Arly:
"I am sorry if the way the forum is done is confusing. The reason it is done that way is because there are a lot of us that get on this forum, and if we all posted new threads, we would run out of our allotted space rather quickly!".

While I think that the weekly support board thread is nice for support discussions, I think a lot of us, newbies especially, would find the site easier to use if there were individual threads for different discussions. For example, searches would be easier. I just tried to search for "recipe"s. I got a list of hits, all of them "weekly support board" threads. To find the recipes, I would have to wade through all 7 or 8 pages on each of those threads. I don't know about you, but I don't have that kind of time.

I think it would be much easier, if like on other boards, posts were made in individual threads with the subject telling what the post is about and replies dealing with that subject posted to that thread.

Terry, I understand what you are saying and here's a little info.

If you are trying to search for a recipe we have on the SB BOARDS you can search just our boards instead of the entire site and you can have those posts that have the recipe or a recipe ingredient you are seeking to come up so it will be only in THAT post, not having to look through the entire thread.

Those who wish to make a new thread to post their questions are so able to do so, though they more than likely won't get many replies to their messages as they would on the weekly support board.

As with anything, even a new WOE, you have to search and discover-when you do, a whole new world of possibilities can be found

Okay..besides being confused wiht the posting (it's different and I guess I'm just used to another way) I am WAY confused still (tried SB before & was too confused) with SB...I thought it was "basically" LC with other foods added and no Ketosis......

Off to work.......

I hope I am posting the right way. This is my first visit to this site and I want to get active with SB again. I used SB and TaeBo together a few years ago to lose 65 lbs. I felt GREAT!! Since then I have gained about 25 lbs back and want it off. I have been married for 10 years. We started trying last fall to have a baby. I've had 2 miscarriages this year and am really feeling down on myself with the losses and the extra weight. The last miscarriage was 2 weeks ago and I intend to take the next few months off from trying and plan to get in super shape. I want my best chances at a healthy baby. AND, if I can't have a child, I at least want to feel good about myself, like I used to.

Happy weekend, everyone! I'm so glad this group is here.
