Weight Loss While Taking Insulin
 

:?: :?: I am returning to SB after a 4 week sojourn with Atkins. I lost 10 pounds, but it fluctuates wildly, even when I am totally on program. I've lost weight on SB before, but I am now taking 3 kinds of insulin. Has anyone experienced a good weight loss while taking insulin? I am careful to check BS to watch for low blood sugar, and I know how to regulate my Humalog. I'm not looking for quick weight loss, but I sure would like to lose enough to get the heck off the shots. Thanks Ya'll. :D

Please join us on the SB WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD. That's where we tend to congregate and more people will get to read your message there and respond to it. I personally can't answer it as I don't have diabetes, but I can tell you that I have heard from quite a few people who were on the pills that they were able to cut down or discontinue them after being on SB and losing some weight.

As you know, from the past, SB is a great WOE and not restrictive like Atkins. Can I ask why you switched? How much did you lose on SB alone?
