Help A Personal Chef?
Hi! I am a new personal chef (started my business in November, but just had my first client cooking session last week). I am cooking for a new person on Sunday, Jan. 27th who lost quite a bit of weight following Sugar Busters (100+ pounds). He says he now "loosely" follows the Sugar Buster guidelines to maintain his weight. He has invited some friends over to sample the Sunday dinner I am cooking for his family (re: more potential clients!) and I would like to make a Sugar Buster's "legal" dessert. Does anyone have a "fool proof" impressive Sugar Buster's dessert recipe? Dinner is going to be pork roast with a mustard herb rub, surrounded by roasted vegetables (sweet potatoes, mushrooms, celery, etc.). He has pre-approved dinner as being OK., but I'd like the dessert to be a suprise.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated - since I'm new at this, every cooking experience is like a job interview and I am NERVOUS!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! |
MILLIE, gosh, can you come cook for me too?:D
I would say to try DEB'S CRUSTLESS CHEESECAKE, I can tell you many of the gals on the board tried it, 5 just a few weeks ago at a get together we had, and all loved it-you could definitely dress it up with fruits on top if desired-I'm sure it would be a hit-unless the guy hates cheesecake or is lactose intolerant!!! Hmmm, then again, do you have access to agave syrup? That's what I used when creating the recipe. GOOD LUCK! Debbie |
Thanks for the idea - I will check about agave syrup. What about Sugar Buster's "legal" fruit? I know they told me he's not suppose to eat pineapple - did I mention he's also diabetic????

No raisins, pineapple, watermelon, bananas-these are high on the GI-but there are so many fruits you can eat, all berries, citrus, apples, pears, etc.

Thanks again - I'll check out the fresh berry supply at the store!
