You don't need to be sorry, everyone has the right to be here. I understand . I am 5'7 and at 154, I wear a size 4 jeans and they are getting loose. I don't really want to be a size 2. The only real reason I am still trying to lose weight is because my doctor set my weight loss goal at 150 and I was angry at him and said I would go for 145. He hasn't seen me since Feb. and next appt. is in June, I'm sure he'll think I'm thin enough when he actually sees me.

Can I just say I understand what you girls mean. you do need to take care with your weight. i've had a weight target for ages and lost alot of weight a couple of years ago. Reached my goal weight and stayed there for ages then its crept back on and Ive regained over a stone.

My aim this time has been to get that off and to reach my original goal weight again, but I had to see my old doctor who I haven't seen in years (I'm with a diff surgery now) on friday when I saw him he wanted to check my height and weight to work out my peak flow for my asthma. I didn't even want to get on the scale because I feel fat still at the moment but when he weighed me I was alot lower than the last time i weighed there and most interestingly he worked out my BMI and told me that the weight I am at now is perfect and I shouldn't think about losing that much more. When I told him I was planning on losing another stone he said that although it would be great for me to go to the gym and tone and lose that way I shouldn't diet that much because it will be detrimental as I'm fine as I am.

I feel really pleased that my weight is at a good level and its given me perspective I've decided my goal weight now isn't the be all and end all its just an incentive to get and stay fit. Society puts pressure on us to be skinny but that isn't necessarily healthy and being the shape of a stick isn't healthy. You should eat a balanced diet and get good nutrition and you can't do that on 500 cals a day. Be careful thats all these ladies are saying and I do agree.

I know what it's like to gain weight on meds. It is frustrating to go from being thin to being overweight. So congratulations on feeling more like yourself. :)

LOL, maybe it's because the biggest I have been (and am now) is a C that I don't want mine to shrink. I love my boobs though I do remember when they were Bs and Bs are fine.. I still want to keep my Cs at my goal weight (I became a C in the 9th grade and I am finishing out the 12th so maybe they will stay:)).

Well if it works like that.. I am a tight D now so maybe I will go down to a B - woo! haha Although even at a 170ish I was still a C... so who knows. But I will let all you lady's know once I can get this weight to come off!

Mine went from a D to an AA they are now back up to a big A but i'm seriously considering getting them enhanced if I ever can afford it.

Were you top heavy?

I find my body is pretty evenly fat - although the legs seem to carry the most of it. So I hope I lose most of it there! But I sure don't want to lose that much boobies!

ummm should I tell you know that I know a lot of older women who regret it?

impossible princess 04-24-2006 01:55 PM

Not really I just always lose really quickly off the top and then its alot harder to lose from the bottom.

That's why I will just buy myself a nice padded bra if they get too small. Or stuff it with tissue hahahaha
