Unexpected N-S-V
I dont know how many of you out there are eatting "clean" - minimal to no processed foods, but I have been for like a month to two months, and I noticed today that may skin is SOO radiant. My legs are shiny, arms, shoulders, face.. ect. Not like greasy, lotion shiny, but just radiant! I love it :carrot:

Eating Clean
I've never heard of "eating clean" but I am very interested in it! I think that's probably the best way to go, ultimately. Can you tell more about it, either in here or PM me?
Shiny, healthy skin sounds excellent! |
That is definitely a victory!

eatting clean is eatting as little processed foods as possible. Here is a sample menu of mine.. (Disclaimer: I do not claim to eat 100% clean but about 80%.)
B:1c of cooked old fashioned oats with organic raisins and honey ( sometimes I add apple or banana) L: Brown Rice ( not quick cooking or instant) and vegetable stir fry with olive oil S: Organic Cottage Cheese and whole grain cracker ( similar to Triscuits) |
posted too soon.. sorry
D: Green Peppers stuffed with Lean Turkey, brown rice, garlic, sometimes organic cheese, onions and all natural chicken stock. Basically I just try to eat stuff that is as "clean" as possible, minimially processed, no preservatives, no additives ect. I try to eat stuff that is as close to nature as possible. Its really really hard and boring to eat 100% clean, but I have seen a difference in just eatting about 80% clean. Even my water is purified. Still working on getting a filtered shower head.. I hear that makes a big difference in your skin and hair as well. They are kinda steep though. Edit to say: I dont use quick cooking oats or rice, because in order for them to cook quickly they are stripped and some of the benefits go with it. |
Cool, thanks! I kind of do this already. Those stuffed peppers sound delicious.

They are the best. I love them.. even though greens make my belly bloat up.. (only for a little while..gas..:^: ) I still love to eat them. So good. Im a dork last night I had a lean turkey burger with munster cheese (not clean), with a whole wheat bun ( not clean) and snow peas. Too me.. it was just like a burger and fries.. only I enjoyed it more. If I ever ate red meat or fries ever again, I would probably yak! anyways.. just not worth it. :barf:

Cheese, too? What dairy products are clean? And you lost 95 pounds! WOW, congrats. Thank you |
Unprocessed would be hard for me, I dont cook. And there's no way Im just eating raw vegetables! :O) Being vegetarian and trying to eat low fat/low cal, my diet is already so restricted that the thought of restricting it further is totally unappealing. Although the skin benefits make it REALLY tempting! But I have to have my cheese! And cooking, well its just not going to happen. And I consider boiling water cooking, so dont even THINK about telling me how quick and easy it can be!

There is organic cheese. Its not as processed, and the animals are treated better ( no steroids, no captivity, vegetarian fed, cuz cows are vegetarians by nature) Conventional dairy is so disgusting just because of how the animals are treated and what they are fed.. I wont mention it here, because I try to be "P.C." I will try to never eat conventional dairy again!
