small victory

Well, I have dropped about 3.5 pounds in 2 weeks (no loss last week, however, on weigh-in day). So that's a victory.

Thanks to everyone who has been helping me out with changing my eating plan. I'm still struggling, and I am trying to get better.

If any of you are looking for a good book to read, yesterday someone recommended "Do I Look Fat in This?" by Jessica Weiner. I have read most of it already, and it is pretty good. It teaches you about the language of fat, and how we use fat to mask some deeper problems that are going on in our lives. I especially like the tagline, though: "Life doesn't begin 5 pounds from now."

Hope you're all having a happy and victorious day. :)

I really enjoyed "Thin People Don't Clean Their Plates: Simple Lifestyle Choices for Permanent Weight Loss" by Jill Fleming. Very practical, easy to read and refer back to.

Congrats! I've seen a few of your posts on here, and am glad you have something to celebrate! That book sounds good...I'll have to check it out.

BTW, I LOVE that quote! I think I'm going to write it down somewhere for me to see every day! :)

Keep up the awesome work :cheer:

i dont' think 3.5 lbs in 2 wks. is a "small" victory -- it sounds pretty darn good to me...I have had weeks where 3.5 ounces in 2 wks. even sounded good to me. Congrats!

thanks everyone. I guess i should have used a different title for this thread. :) I am definitely celebrating 3.5 pounds. Thanks for the cheers of support!

I'm glad you like the quote, LaBonita! It's one of my all time favorites.:)
