Default 25 pounds gone!!!

I can't believe i am posting this!!! I have actually lost 25 pounds. I thought 20 was great....can't believe i am at 25...and so soon. i thought for sure it would be another 2 weeks. but the last 2 weeks i have lost 2 pounds a week.

Honestly, i don't think i ever thought i would make it to 25. Now i feel like i'll never make it to my goal, but in my head, i know if i keep going i will. When i look at my body, i think, "Man, when i hit 130 am i going to look different?? will i be in a smaller size?? " i don't feel like i look like i've lost 25 pounds. But i know i have. and i know i will make it to goal. but it still seems like a dream i've lost 25 and hard to see myself getting to 130.

but anywho, i am sooooo happy!!! 25 pounds gone forever!!! I will never let that weight come back. I will continue to watch how i eat for the rest of my life and keep moving!!!

I drink lots of water every day, i eat less food at each meal, i always have a snack between lunch and dinner...usually an apple. i got some great breakfast recipes from this very site. I try to walk a mile every week day during lunch, and i go to the gym 3 times a week and do at least 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training. I logged all my foods into fitday and really work hard to keep my calories between 1200 and 1600. if i want something sweet, i have it but i make sure i keep my portion small and i don't have rich sweets foods too often.

anyways, thank you all for the congrats. I feel so good having gotten to this mile stone. i can't wait to get to 50 pounds !!

I made me something to put on my wall in my bedroom...a certificate that says i lost 25 pounds and put the date. next time i lose 25, i'll make me another one. once i am at goal, i'll make one that says i made it to my goal and probably put them in a scrapbook.

thank you all for this wonderful board and all of your support. i truely would have given up if i had not had this great board to learn so much from. the posters/members here are a true blessing to me. thank you all!!!!

Thumbs up Great Work!

Lumifan! Congrats! I know exactly how you feel. I don't feel like I've lost much either, but I know I have. In fact, I sometimes say to myself "34 pounds is only 16 pounds away from losing 50!" It is amazing sometimes, when you really stop and think about it, how far you've come! I know for myself at least, if anyone had told me that I was going to lose 50 pounds this year, I would have laughed in their face! And since I've had success so far, it seems like I might actually continue to succeed! AND SO WILL YOU!

You're doing such a great job. Keep up the excellent work! Thanks for sharing your success with us!

If it doesn't seem like you've lost that much, try picking up 25 pounds worth of weights and carrying them around! Then you'll see what a huge accomplishment it is and why you should be so proud of yourself!

Great work, Lumi, congratulations! You're always so friendly and encouraging to others, it's good to see you have such a great success yourself!

And the boogie goes on, one more dance for Lumi...

(continue funky music) (additional boogie-ing ensues)

Congratulations, Lumi! Hey that is a GREAT idea about the certificates! I think I will copy your idea if you don't mind!! Which I am sure you won't as encouraging one another and sharing "what works" is what we are all about here!

LOL I am at 24 and that next one has been clinging for dear life for the last week! But yesterday it was barely hanging on and looked like it was about ready to drop so maybe today... I had best start working on that certificate LOL.

Good job!!! Can't wait to see your ticker hit 130!!!

thanks guys for the encourgement. I don't mind you using that idea at all misti!!! it is a great thing for all of us to do for ourselves. just go on line and type in the search bar...certificates. you should be able to find some free site that will let you make yourself a certificate. i used desktop publishing here at work, but last year, i found a website that let me make certificates for free for when i met one of my fav. soap stars.

That is so exciting! I know exactly what you mean about not feeling like you've lost as much as you really have. Congrats and good luck!
