NSV's, Progress Pix, and Question

Wow you look great! I love seeing people's progress pictures and am so glad you came out of lurksville to show us!!
As to when to stop losing... I would just say, within reason of course, that it should be YOUR choice! When we lose weight people to tend to see us as "losing too much" (they're used to seeing us heavy). And height is not necessarily an indication; we are all different body types, etc. And depends on how "in shape" we are. You certainly look fantastic... doesn't look like you NEED to lose any more. But if YOU want to lose a few more, go for it. One caution though... you have a beautiful figure! Don't lose so much that you start to lose your "girl shape" LOL |
WOOOTTT! You look fabulous! And I agree with Misti: it's your choice and it depends on how comfortable YOU are!
|
I just found this site and have been reading and came across your post, can you advise how you did it, you look great. I agree stop losing when you feel comfortable and happy with yourself.
|
Girl! You got it going on! :belly: I agree with the others, you have curves in all the right places. I would say that if you maintained at your current weight you'd be healthy, considering what your starting weight used to be. Great job on the loss and thanks for sharing your pics, they are really inspiring!
p.s. I love the color of your hair! |

Wow, you look great. I am 5'7 and weigh 159 right now. My abdomen is not as flat as yours. I am going for 150 and will see then if I need to lose another 5 lbs. The closer I have gotten to 150 the more I think that this may be the right weight for my body type. Congratulations
|
Wow! You look awesome, congratulations!! Good job!:carrot: :carrot:

You look great!!! Congrats on your terrific loss :) I agree with everyone else... get to wherever you are comfortable, and I'm sure you know to be wary of the "just 5 more pounds" syndrome, so I won't lecture.
And I have yet to meet a weight-loser who hasn't battled the "well-meaning" comments from "concerned" friends and family who fear you will lose too much weight. People who used to be overweight are good at hiding weight, so friends and family can't see the last five, ten or twenty pounds becase we're so good at hiding them :). Lol, and I remember someone venting about the "you're losing too much" comments in another thread (from memory): "If people are so concerned about me becoming too thin that it's unhealthy, I want to know... where were their 'helpful comments' when I was 50 pounds overweight? Why is it that when I'm finally approaching a healthy weight, people start worrying about my health?" |
I think you look great. If you wanted to maintain I think you would be fine, but if you chose to lose more then by all means go for it. I think you look healthy though.
|
youre such a pretty girl! I'm jealous!
|
I think you look great. And with all of that working out, you have developed muscle, which makes a big difference too. I'd say 150 would be very appropriate!
Way to go!! |

First of all - welcome, and congratulations!!! You look fantastic - what a huge accomplishment. I'd definitely say it all depends on you what weight you aim for. I know there are people my height who want to be 110, and I also know I'd be miserable and tired and hungry all the time if I kept myself there - my body just isn't meant to be lower than about 125. I've talked to a few other people, and the general feeling is to stop when your body tells you to - you'll probably hit a point where no matter how much you exercise or count calories the numbers won't want to move, which would be a ogod place to stop (this is just a theory of ours, certainly not something we know to be true). As long as you have a healthy body image, just stop where you feel comfortable. You've done an amazing job so far!

Welcome to the community!! I know you'll find support and friendship here.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You look amazing and I'm sure you feel it. Great job adapting your own thing to get results. I love hearing when people are doing their own thing. Makes me feel like I'm on the right track. Hope to see you around the boards. |
Wow, you look amazing. What an inspiration!
|
You look great!! Congrats!!
|
Congratulations on a fantastic achievement :) you look great! It sounds like you are following a similar plan to me, except I count calories not ww points.
|
Hey!! Congrats :) I too am at 158 right now and am 5'6". I think it looks better on you but maybe that's just me, lol!! Do what you think is best as far as losing more weight. I'm aiming for 140 right now, but if I keep losing after that then I'll stick with it. I figure once I reach a point where I can look at myself in the mirror and be truly satisfied with what I see, I won't make any changes.
Good luck :) |
You look fabulous -- I think you and I have similar body types but I didn't look as good at 158.
|
you look great.. and your photo's are definately encouragement for me!
|
You look amazing! I am where you began. You are such an inspiration to many of us that it can be done. Thank you so much for posting your pictures. I am the same height as you and I am headed in your direction. My goal is the 150's. The last time I was in that range I felt great about myself and healthy. It's a great place to be. Great Job! Thank you again.- Andrea

you look awesome! wow, you started out with big hips just like me.. so, there is hope for me, too!

You look truly beautiful and should be extremely proud of what you have achieved. I think you look VERY healthy, so could easily maintain where you are at, but I also think that your goal of 150 is very realistic.
I am 5'6 and a half (I've got to add the half because I am 169cm and that seems to come out between the 6 and 7 inch mark) and currently weigh 160lbs. My goal is 150, but I seem to just be sitting around 160 at the moment. I decided a few weeks ago (at around 165lbs) to put myself 'mentally' into maintenance mode to see how I go, as I was stressing too much about the scales and not appreciating how far I'd come. Since then I've lost a few more pounds, so I feel that my body will 'settle' into the weight it wants to be. I haven't changed my exercise or eating routine that greatly, just added a little bit of food here and there, to ensure that I COULD maintain. So... my point is (yes, I AM getting to it)... you are on the right track to just see how things go for a while. Don't stress too much at the moment, as you look, and obviously FEEL great! I put a post up on the maintainers board about people telling me not to lose any more weight. They are well meaning, but can get you down after a while. I didn't know how to answer them at first, but now it's easy - "I'm just maintaining at the moment and letting my body decide". I am still learning about my 'new, improved' body and this is such an exciting part of my journey. I hope you take the time out to appreciate all that you have achieved. Take care, Zelma |
u look great
