Whoa! The Firm...

  • I've been doing The Firm: Hips, thighs, and abs for the past 3 days. I measured myself before I started. After only 3 days, I've lost .5 inches in each of my thighs, an inch off my butt, .5 off my waist, and .5 inch off my hips. I dont think it's just a fluke because the reason that I measured was that I actually saw that my thighs looked toner. I'm also calorie counting.

I highly recommend The Firm. I only have their firming stick (my housemate owns it), but I really dont think you need to buy their stuff. I improvise w/ a set of weights and my stair step.
  • Sounds interesting! I actually have the original firm tapes along with that step stool. I tried it once but felt so defeated cause I couldn't last for two minutes. I do SOOO much better at walking.
  • I used to love the old firm tapes. I got turned off of them after ankle problems and they're all step. Maybe I should give them another go. Congrats on your new measurements.
  • wow!!! congrats. maybe i should pull my tape out. i actually just bought one off of ebay but haven't really had time to use it. maybe i should try it this weekend.

JasonsLea, don't feel defeated. When i joined my cardio class at the gym, i could barely make it through. the important thing is that i took a breather and just jumped back in. That's all you have to do. you don't have to do the whole entire 30 minutes (or however long it is). do it until you have to stop, let the tape keep running, when you get your breath back, jump back in, when you need to stop....stop. get a sip of water. take a couple breaths and jump back in. that's why i don't do videos because i know i am a quitter. but in class, i feel lazy if i were to walk out in the middle of the class. but my trainer knows i am putting forth my best effort if i stay for the whole class but take a small break whenever i need it. so don't feel like a failure because you tire out after 2 minutes. just take a breather. it takes awhile to build up endurance to continue without quitting. but if you quit, you'll never build up endurance.
  • I have contemplated getting the workout set w. the transfirmer but i have decided to wait until i am bored with what i already have
