did your...
feet get smaller?
mine have. it's really bizarre. i didnt know that feet shrunk with weight loss. is it just me? i've gone down about half a size or so with the past 20 lbs. |
Yup. I lost about a half size. Amazingly, even throughout pregnancy, I've maintained that foot loss. Good thing...I have enough shoes. ;)
Half size smaller and went from a wide to regular. :)
I also am down a half size and I think I will lose another 1/2 to 1 full size cause when I was skinny I was a 71/2 to 8 and now I am wearing 8- 81/2 but b4 the diet was in 9's!!!
Yes!!
Ooops, pressed enter on accident! Yes, I was shocked at the foot shrinking phenomenon as well!! I was a size 10 before I lost weight, now I can fit into a 91/2 and sometimes even a 9!!
Same as Meg. went from 8 1/2 wide to 8 regular.
Nope! In Highschool I was a 9, and now I'm a 10 :P
Yikes, I'm a size 7 1/2 right now....if my feet get much smaller I'll look like I'm walking on stumps!
No, I really wish they would though :(
Don't know about US sizes, but they're big and I have real trouble finding shoes that fit. |
When I was in High School my feet were a size 10 (I was fat also, and not tall) but when I originally lost 115 pounds I went into a size 8!!! Now that I am heavy again, (working on loosing that!!!) I am a 8.5-9 depending on the style. When I am at my goal weight, I am a size 7.5-8

My feet have shrunk back down to a 7 1/2 from an 8.
I have naturally wide feet (no - really! wide AND fat), but can wear some regular sizes now. Actually, before I started, there were loads of 8 or 8.5 wides that I couldn't wear. I hated to go shoe shopping because I always felt like one of Cinderella's ugly stepsisters, rarely able to squeeze my foot into anything & tended to wear the same several pairs of shoes sized ww. That's no longer the case, and I stop by the shoe aisles almost every time I'm in any store, anywhere. Last night I bought two pairs of shoes at Targét, both regular, including a pair of with 2-inch heels (!) and find that I'm slipping back down from 8s toward 7.5s. I tell myself that it's okay to splurge on shoes b/c I'll be able to wear them for. ever. but I'm starting to wonder if that's the case.
What a fun question & fascinating answers. |
I haven't lost enough to make a difference, but I just wanted to say...You guys are lucky with your smaller feet! I wear a size 11 in womens and sometimes its soooooo hard to find shoes for me!
Mine did. Well, I haven't actually tried on new shoes to see, but I've been a size 10 for a gazillion years until maybe the last year or so. Then it was up to an 11. Now my feet, they look like somebody else's feet, not mine. I have veins in them again and that is just so darn cool!!! :dizzy: I'm also able to wear some of my old size 10's, glad to see those old friends back again.
