60 pounds lost! Words of hope and inspiration!
Well all, I'm happy to say that I no longer need a "mid" goal! I am down to 225 lbs. That's 61 pounds lost in less than 3 months! I really have a hard time believing in most of the time. When I started, I was 286 pounds and could barely fit into a size 26 sometimes. Now, I barely fit into a size 20 and am ready to try on some clothes in an 18. I have maybe 5 items in my closet that barely fit (getting too big!) in a size 22/24. I even have to exchange my wedding dress for the second time for a smaller size!
I am so happy that I decided to do this. I never thought it would be this easy. Sure, there are days when I want to totally pig out and eat all the chocolate, ice-cream, french onion dip, and potatoe chips, etc. that I want. Yes, there are days when the last thing I feel like doing is working out. But it really hasn't been bad at all. I remember thinking that I had 86 pounds to lose just to get down to 200 lbs., and thinking about how impossible it seemed to do. I'm more than halfway there now!
So, to everyone that is just starting out...it IS possible!! Just keep going. Feeling as good as I do now, compared to how I felt before I lost the weight, is worth cutting all the nightly binges of ice-cream and the entire way of life that I used to live. I NEVER want to go back to that again!
Thank you guys, for ALL of your kind words, support, and inspiring stories!! You've helped me to succeed!!

(When is it? You must be so excited- I was just married on 3/5/05 and I had my dress altered from a 16 to roughly a 10- such a great feeling! wait till all your family who you haven't seen forever, come up to you and says you look great! it's a wonderful feeling!)

That is just simply wonderful!!! You GO GIRL!
Can I ask what was your trick in doing it in such a short time.. I've lost 25 in 3 months, gosh you make me think I'm not working hard enough...of course I don't have a wedding to look forward too.

Actually, I have no clue how the pounds melted off so quickly. I'm gathering that maybe it's due to stress, being that I've been unemployed since like January 15th. Other than that, I really don't do anything different than anyone else would do. I eat healthier, I don't snack, and I try to exercise every day! I guess that everyone is different!

I'm glad!!
Hey, when I first bought my wedding dress, I could barely fit into a size 26. I went to exchange my dress for a smaller size today (for the second time) and I almost fit into a size 16!! I got it in an 18 though, just in case. This feels so wonderful! I haven't worn a 16 since I was like in 11th grade in high school!!

that is awesome. WTG. I bet you're going to have to exchange your dress again--who knows you may be in a 12 by then.
