I've been reading the supportive and inspiring posts at this site and I would like to share what happened to me recently. Last fall I reclaimed my flower garden which had been taken over by ground cover because for years I had been unable to do the work. This spring I have been so very excited watching all that's happening there. Well, a few weeks ago, my husband went out with me so I could show him "what's new." Among other things, we were marvelling at the poppies. There had been only a few left and they were no longer blooming. This year they have spread far beyond where they had been even when I had still been tending the garden. My husband looked at me as if he had just had a sudden realization and he said: "You are the poppies. They were there all along and you didn't even realize it. They were waiting to be freed from the burden of all that tangle of roots which was holding them back. Now, they are ready to bloom and be better than ever."
