I'm new Here, Lost 79lb

Hello Everyone:

I have one more lb to reach my goal of 80lb lost. I've been on Weight Watchers for 14 months and have gone from a size 22 to a size 10. 220lb down to 141.

I was able to do it all on my own without going to meetings. Got the materials in Sept of 2003 and just DID IT.

Weight Watchers works.

Wow, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! Weight Watchers does seem to have a very high rate of satisfaction. It's great that you were able to do it with the at home materials. Thanks for sharing your story :)

That is awesome! I have all the WW materials from the last time I joined and I have been thinking about just doing it at home - I don't have time to get to the meetings and they are far away.

Thank you for your inspiration and letting us know it can be done successfully at home.

Continued success!

Materials?

How do you get the materials without going to a meeting? The group closest to me won't even let you come sit in on a meeting unless you join! I can't afford to join and if I did the meeting is in the next town-25 miles away!
Thanks,
Kathy

Well done SueJo, that's amazing and you must be so proud of yourself! All the very best with maintaining.

Kathy, I am guessing that she joined, got the materials, and didn't go back to the meetings. Have you considered WW Online? I'm not sure what materials you get, but I'm sure you at least get an online version.

You can go to e-bay and get weight watcher materials as well. I think they have the at-home kits for something like $45. They also have alot of other WW goodies. I just picked up a points calculator that looked kinda cool. ;)

14 months ago I went into the WW office and paid $30 for the kit with points calculator and eating out guides. I have never been to any meeting at all and just do this all on my own. I also don't go to anything online either.

I now have 1/2lb more to go to hit my goal.

I can't say it hasn't been easy but an entire lifestyle change and totally worth it.
