Is there a thread for those who are maintaining their weight?
I'm about 15 lbs. from my goal and want to really start thinking about how I'm going to transition from losing weight to maintaining it.
I've lost weight many times before, only to have it creep back up on me and I really want to work hard on the maintenance aspect of controling my weight. Is there a group or thread on 3FC that is particularly focused on maintaining your weight loss? |

I have enjoyed reading your posts here and there for some time...just got through reading the thread you linked to in the reply above...just fantastic...I too really fear gaining the weight back and want to focus on ways to avoid that. I don't think my workout routine is going to qualify me as a serious weight trainer but I do use the Solo-Flex and treadmil. I'm seeing a lot more definition as well as I continue to work out in the yard and become more active every day. We just finished putting in a pool and I have found keeping it clean and swimming to be great exercises. Hope you all don't mind a "non lifter" commenting in your group because I sure can use all the maintenance ideas and support I can get. I believe you were the one that suggested "Fear and Loathing"....I read the book and it was quite an eye-opener. I'm now working through Dr. Phil's new book and have quite a collection of "diet" books from which I glean the little "truths" that I can apply to myself. The biggest help I have found is writing everything down...what I ate and the calories....It just helps me to know what I'm doing and it keeps me focused on trying to keep the count in a moderate range.
