Just bringing this back to the top.

I started Chitosan yesterday. Nothing on the scale yet but I notice I feel full faster. I am combining this with water, exercise, and a healthy diet.

I have been really struggling since April and I just felt like I needed a boost...something to help. So, I am really hoping the Chitosan works.

Where did everyone else go? Is anyone having success? I would love to hear from you all...good and bad. Thanks, in advance, for taking time to reply.
P.S. Feels good to be posting again. I have been gone for about a year.

Just back form a week on holiday and ate loads of fattening things - took Chitsoan - was scared to hop on the scale ( I mean I can easily gain 7 lbs after a holiday ) and was shocked to discover I was down 0.5 lb!! So pleased about this product!
Can't believe it - so I'll just carry on eating when hungry, not eating standing up, smaller portions but lovely food!

That is great. I am on day 3...nothing on the scales yet but shorts that were too tight to wear last week are acutually comfortable today. I am amazed. I credit the chitosan combined with my walking and water.

Food has been good but I od'd on the salt yesterday. So, no salt today. I am going to really cut back on it and see if it makes a difference in the scale.

Thanks for responding.

I have a question for the chitsan users. The pharmacist at the drug store I went to said that it could cause constipation because since it binds fat, it could absorb water too. Have you found that to be the case, have you had to increase your water intake? I'm considering buying this product and would be interested in your comments.

So long as you are

1) DRINKING YOUR WATER

2) MOVING YOUR BOD

you should have no particular problem with constipation. Another potential prob is the opposite--loose stool. I've had neither problem.

I've been looking for info on chitosan. My mother in law and I both started it the other day. I've been with ww for over 2 years and I'm battling to lose those last 20 lbs and MIL on the other hand just wants to lose weight without the effort of trying. She is complaining of constipation, but I told her right away I knew she wasn't drinking her water. Sure enough, all she was taking in was enough to actually swallow the pills. Me on the other hand feels fine. I weigh in tomorrow for week # 115. I hope this is the answer I've been looking for. I take 2 500 mg pills 1/2 hour before dinner and supper, regardless of what I'm eating. Is this the right way in your opinions? Or should I be taking into concideration what I'm eating. I also don't count fat grams, just points.
Thanks.

I've never heard of this product, but am certainly going to go buy some. I have such a tough time with weight loss. Wish me luck.

ok you guys sold me on the chitosan. I bought some today. 180, 500 mg capsules for 20.00. It was normally 24.00. I got it at GNC it is the diet fuel kind made by twin labs. THe lady there told me it was the same as the other brands and contained the same amount of chitosan. I just started it today so of course i haven't noticed any difference yet. I ate well though *stayed on tract in other words* I upped my water intake to a gallon a day because of what i recently found out about how you can gain weight if you don't drink enough because the liver, which metabolizes fat has to help the kidneys out when there is not enough water. So if the liver can't do it's job then fat is stored. I hope i got that right. ;) anyway, so the water went up anyway. I am 236 as of yesterday and i will check back in a week and let you know if the chitosan has helped any. I hope...I hope...see you in one week...gotta peeeeeeeeee ;D

Just gotta add my Chitosan story here...

Since the beginning of this year, I've lost 29 pounds.... from 250 to 221. I've been happy with this even though it's very slow. I was stuck at 221 for three weeks, then I read about this stuff here, and went and got some. I live in Canada and for 200 500mg capsules I paid $30 - this was ON SALE.

Anyway, I don't care how much it cost cause after one week of using this I lost 2 pounds and got off my plateau! Two pounds in one week is very rare for me, usually one pound a week would be my max.

I feel great, no side effects at all. This stuff WORKS. I'm looking forward to weigh-in on Friday to make sure it's not a fluke.

I've used Chitosan too with success. I use Optibolic which I buy at GNC. It doesn't have biozan and the Chitosan I've used with biozan bothered my stomach.

Good luck to everybody!
Mari
