Two thirds of the way to goal!

I posted here when I was 1/3 of the way to goal, so I guess I should continue in the same way!

Started off at 260.5, have since lost 81lbs and need to lose around another 40 (wishful thinking maybe, but we'll see!).

Some days I feel great, other days I can do nothing but dwell on the fact that the loss has now slowed down a lot, and that the last third is going to take a **** of a lot more effort than the first two thirds put together!!

Saying that, I've had quite a few compliments, which is nice, and it keeps me going.

Any advice on how to survive the final furlong?!

Thanks to all for your support.

Karen

Hi Karen

Wow!! I must bow down to you. Great job! I started out at 203 about 2 years ago, and have gotten down to about 170. I still (still ugh) have to lose at least 20 more lbs. I think I have been stuck at this weight for about 6 months now. I am sooo ready to keep moving down the scales!! We can do this!!
Hope to hear from you soon.
I would like to hear the details of your incredible weight loss, E-mail me anytime @ [email protected].

Karen

your doing fantastic. I started off at 355lbs and am now down to 234lbs...even managed to lose 3lbs this week although it was christmas... I know what you mean about the weight loss slowing down...but just keep listening to all those compliments and keep in the front of your mind how much better you feel and how much you want to reach your goal and you will certainly do it.

good luck with the rest of your journey

Oh, how I understand how you feel when the weight begins to come off at a maddeningly slow rate! I lost 95 lbs with relative ease-------then the fun began. During the last 6 months I've only managed to lose about 8 lbs. I have about 35 lbs left to lose and it's just not coming off. I'm trying to stick to 1200 cals at this point but that is not much food and so I eat 1300-1500 on many days. I can't figure out why I can't lose wt at 1500 cals. I know my age has something to do with slow wt loss because we older ladies have a slower metabolism but it's not as if I'm 85! I'm only 52. I look and feel so much better at my current wt but my goal wt is hanging over me much the way homework used to. I just keep plugging away at this wt loss thing knowing that even if I only lose .2# in a week or two that I will reach my goal SOMEDAY. I have to keep in mind that my "someday" cannot be scheduled. Keep at it Karen-----and everyone else. It's worth it in the end.

Congratulations on the goal weight you have acheived, although not your ultimate goal weight with a loss as big as yours every pound lost is a new goal weight. I have lost 70 lbs with 11 to go and I have to remind myself of this everyday, for every pound lost puts me at a weight I have never achieved before and if that's not success I don't know what is!!! Keep up the good work and remember your successes, that will give you the strength to continue. :)
