Default What is Trader Joe's

The only Trader Joe's I know is the bar that all the navy pilots liked in the town that I grew up in.

Oh wait. Maybe it was named Trader John's.

Hmmmm....

Louren,
Trader Joe's is a specialty whole foods market, like Wild Oats or Whole Foods I think. We don't have them in my area. You can check their Web site to see if their is one near you.

http://www.traderjoes.com/ It's one of THE BEST natural food stores in the country. They are like Whole Foods except waaaaayyyyyyy less expensive! They are awesome! I have to drive 25 miles to get to one from my house, but it's always a good trip when I go.

My only disappointment with them is that everything is packaged so small. I have a family of 5 and usually have a few more added to the dinner table so even though it is reasonably priced I have to by twice as much.

I love Trader Joes. They have some great products, but I would never do my bulk family grocery shopping there. TJs is where I go to get specialty items like certian trail mixes, snacks, teas, and it is where I get my soap - their Tea Tree bars. The soap is a great deal! $1.50 for two bars!!
You should check it out!

Lots of TJ stuff is way less expensive than in regular stores and much safer for you, too. They have lots of their own products and if you're thinking "Health store...yuck! " you are off the mark! Their stuff is beyond delicious...trust me. They have great dried fruit with no sugar...I got some wonderful tart cherries there last time that I just used in a salad with apples, walnuts, goat cheese, etc. I also get my Omega 3 vitamins there.
