Forum? Side Effects?
 

I haven't ever really posted in the forum so I am kinda taking a walk in dim light... not complete darkness but there are some things here I am not familiar with. I have just started the South Beach diet a couple days ago (started Sunday) and have been having problems sticking to it because I am a picky eater. Don't like greens too much, but I have had quick results on this diet before and it definitely eliminates MOST OF my sugar cravings. I love pasta and bread and spaghetti especially... so much though and I am having some weird side effects (well, maybe they're not weird, that's what I came here to find out). I have been getting bad headaches in the evening and having muscle twitches too. I know that it has only been a couple days, but is this something to worry about?

Most folks do have headaches during the first few days as their system detoxes. However, being sure you are eating dairy and legumes really helps. Have you checked out the revised foodlist in our FAQ Section?

There's lots of information and support in the Beach Forum so poke around and ask questions. This is a great group of chicks.
