New here :)

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here but I hope to be posting alot more. I'm Caryn, I'm 28 and I have a 2-year old daughter. I'm about 5'3 and 131 pounds. I don't have a huge amount left to lose but I definitely have excess flab, especially in the tummy. I'd like to look decent in a bathing suit this summer, lol. Or at least in a tank top. My stomach is definitely the worst problem area. I'd like to be in a size 6 but right now, I can pretty much squish myself in an 8 or 10. I've read the SBD book and been on it before, then I kind of went off track. Today is my first day back on it. I need friends to help me stick to it this time!

Welcome to the Beach! We're the same height and my doctor said my range should be 125-135 (medium frame) so you may be a small frame. Since you really don't have much to lose but want to look better in a swimsuit, you would probably benefit from toning exercises. Pilates and other abdominal exercises will help your stomach. I go to a Powerflex class where we use weights to tone up muscles. My arm and shoulder muscles look pretty good for a 43 year old.

Even without much to lose though, the way of eating here is so healthy that it is good for anyone. My son loves the whole wheat breads and pastas and has learned to eat many vegetables and fruits he didn't used to eat.

Welcome Caryn! I hear you on the baby flab. I *really* need to start doing some toning exercises in addition to SBD. Hope you find a nice home here.
