Just though this was interesting, and wanted to pass it on, for your viewing and or opinions after reading...
  • It is about time!
  • MsCrockett, thanks for posting this!

Great info...it'll be helpful for everyone to have more info on this. Right now, my understanding is that they can't call something "whole wheat" unless it's 100% whole wheat flour. They can say, "with Whole wheat" if there's some in the product, but can't call it whole wheat. This helps me when I'm shopping so I don't have to read the ingredients list on everything.

On the other hand, sometimes the first ingredient is whole wheat flour and the white flour is just a tiny part. That doesn't seem to set off cravings for me. Some white flour might be necessary to make it rise...I know the WW pizza dough I get from the grocery store is like that.
  • Laurie~I found the article somewhat of interest,, there still is not enough info. for my liking, however, some of the people on the South Beach thread are so aware and up on the Wheat and other things,, Ours could, I am sure tell the FDA a thing or two............ Man they are VERY on top of things here,, I LOVE IT>>.......
