WHAT A GREAT ATTITUDE AMY!!!! Welcome to the Beach!!!!!!
|
Welcome to the Beach, Amy!
I just got back from an hour of elliptical and stationary bike at the gym and I feel wonderful. Quick and Easy Spicy Turkey soup is simmering on the stove and I need to go put laundry away. |
We are on the road to getting Terry healthy. He's put on some weight. I never really noticed until recently, so I'm excited that he's going to get healthy. He's on the diet today too, and we just got him signed up at the YMCA!!! WOO HOO! I know he doesn't have a lot of time to work out because he works most evenings too, but he can work out on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and if he wants to get up at the crack of dawn, he can go during the week. I'm doing my classes in the evenings, plus volleyball, and then I'll go work out with him on the weekends. Again, WOO HOO! It's so much easier to work out and stay on track when your spouse is doing it with you. :carrot:
That's all I have to report. I have kickboxing this evening, so I'm going to rest up, have a yogurt, and get ready to go. Talk to you all soon! Lisa |
Hi Chicks:)
Just poped in to say: I'm back from New York and visiting with my GK for :tree: Christmas. WoW!! you wouldn't believe the toys they got,and it wasn't from us. My DD has to stop this insanity, she could open a toy store with all they receive, plus the old ones to boot.Had a great time, but I was happy to be home again. Hope everyone had a wonderful :tree: Christmas, and now we have one more to go though New Years Eve .Starting with a sort of Phase 1:beach: today.Low carbing, until I get though Next Saturday. Luckily:luck: I didn't gain too much [1.5]this time at my DD's as I usually do [5-lbs].Controled my snacking helped. Have to go ,will be back tomorrow morn. Hugs :) BB |
Would Like To Introduce Myself...
Hi chickees! I'm just reading up on this diet and planning on starting Jan 3. I absolutely need support so glad I found this nice forum! My whole family including DH & both DDs, are effortlessly OK weight wise and bored to tears with "diet talk," which I can totally understand, but I do need some partners in crime so to speak.
I live in North Hollywood CA, just outside of Hollywood, if you have been to Universal Studios I live right by there. I'm 46 Jan 2....WOW that sounds so old to me! I'm one of those people who has lost 25 pounds about 10 times in my life. Sucks 2B sure, but I tell myself it's a little better than gaining 25 pound 10 times without ever losing any. Will power is not my best trait. UNDERSTATEMENT The ONLY thing I do consistently is exercise, which I kinda like to do. I either hike, swim or go to Curves pretty much every day. I think that part is easier to pull off in my climate than somewhere like Buffalo NY where my DH is from! So that's one easy thing... So now I'm more like 35 pounds in the hole, as I've found with advancing age that it is ever harder to gain, ever harder to lose. So, my yo-yo thing has got to go-go, for good. That's my resolution for 2006! I really don't care if it takes an entire year to lose the 35 and then having to be vigilent every day from then on -- have come to the conclusion that is what it will take. Thanks to all the forum members for all the fab recipes and tips. I'll be shopping and doing a lot of freeze-ahead things for the new year, now that the holiday food is FINALLY on the way out. Lots of great ideas here! |
Hey everyone - Thank you for all the welcomes!
As part of eating healthy I started drinking lots of water today and I ended up in the bathroom at least eight times during the work day (usually I go maybe once). So that was a little annoying but I know it is good for me. I also made my own dinner tonight - this is major because my husband works late on Tuesdays so it was always my movie-and-take-out night. But tonight I made salmon with a side of yellow squash with cheese and almonds and it was quite good. However if my husband does not get rid of the tortilla chips sitting on the kitchen counter I will kill him because I love those and I am not sure how long I can resist them. Also I tried the Tae-Bo instructional video but I am embarrassed to say that it was too much for me. I guess I am just going to have to take daily walks until some of weight comes off and I have less pressure on my joints. Bye! |
