Good Morning Beachies!!! :wel3fc: Donna.
Got through day 6 which was a challenge for sure. Stressful day. :yikes: It was way busy all day, which is good, but then I discovered that someone is stealing from us    and I got everything put together. DH is dealing with her today and I will take everything to the police tomorrow. She gambles and I was wondering how she could do so well all the time. :rollpin: Off to get ready for work, will be a long day again today as we will be very shorthanded. Had bad cravings on days 5 and 6 so hoping today will be better. I didn't eat on time and it got to me. Gonna watch that today. Have a good day on the beach today. :beach: |
We had a major tornado here at about 2 this morning. It clipped part of our county where my mom lives, (no damage), and killed at least 20 people in Evansville, which is next county over. They just pulled an 8 yr old girl from wreakage of mobile home park. Luckily she is alive. There are more than 200 hurt, and are expecting to find many more dead. Please keep our area in your thoughts and prayers. We live in Southern Indiana, right across the Ohio from Owenboro, Kentucky.
Hugs, Donna |
Oh my! I just checked with a friend who is north IN in Fankfort. I gather the major damage was just the south part of the state. I'm glad you and your family are safe. What a year for natural disasters!

Welcome to the Beach, Donna. That's just terrible about the tornado, we sure have had a lot of natural disasters lately. Thank goodness you are all safe.
I had a request from a family member to try out a new recipe for cheesecake using Splenda and with a ground almond crust, so it's in the oven now. If it turns out as good as it's supposed to, I'll post the recipe. |
HUGS Donna. What a terrible tragedy. We have wind warnings here today. My heart goes out to those who lives were lost.

Welcome to the Beach, Donna. I'm glad you made it through the tornados safely.
Hollyhock - I know how frustrating it can be dealing with a division of labor in the housework. I work fulltime while DH is unemployed (and has been for 4 years) and I still do far more than my fair share. So all I can offer is a big :grouphug: I've done well with my eating this weekend. I made Beef Chipotle Burritos for dinner last night from the new SB cookbook. Brian and I loved it and DH was okay with it. He doesn't really like beans very much. I liked the spinach that was in it. What a wonderful way to get my son to eat two different vegetables in one meal (and he ate every bite). I'm trying another recipe tonight with beef, mushrooms, and asparagus. I love meals that are 30 minutes or less! |
