djett--I've told several friends about 3fatchicks and they too love the recipes.

Hollyhock--yes taco soup is a P1 recipe, listed under the soups/stews. I add the ww tortillas w/ melted cheese to make it P2. I actually gave this recipe to a good friend of mine yesterday and we made it last night. She loved it too!!!

Just Time For A Quick Note!

I only have time for a quick note, then I'm off again. I know I haven't been here for the last two days, but I've been incredibly busy, just no time for ME. Now that fall is here, church programs are really in full swing. DH and I do the Sr. ministries at our church, and the planning and work that goes with that is mindboggling.

My new female cat finally made it up out of the basement by herself on Tues. night, and layed on the couch with the male. He can be quite a bully, but other times they get along so well. She will squawk at the least little move he makes toward her, and oh gosh she has a voice. She's been up the last two mornings in a row, and can't keep her mouth shut! Typical Siamese I guess. He's so quiet, can hardly hear him purr, but she can out do him in that respect too.

Nothing lost, but nothing gained either, so guess I'm happy with that. Will have to apply myself a little more diligently! I did stray yesterday, went to our fave restaurant for lunch. I took 1/2 of mine home just couldn't eat it all. Didn't share it today either.

Time to run again. I get here most days even just to read, so bear with me. Some nights I am so exhausted! Best wishes to those who are not feeling well, that's the pits! Ruth, hope you enjoyed your "do nothing" day. I need one...GrannySmith

Mama - hope i didn't give you my headache, as it sounds like the one I had yesterday afternoon. Can headaches be transferred via the internet? :stars:

I'm soooo tired :sp: lately - DS has a bad rash that we've been working on for almost a month now. The advice from the dr's office didn't help, so he's finally getting in to see the dr tomorrow. Daycare lady thinks it's a yeast infection, which it well might be as I recently found out his cousin also has had one - and they are in the same daycare. Meanwhile - the poor kid! Hopefully the dr can fix him up soon. It's hardly life-threatening or anything, but it's gone on long enough - treating him is starting to affect my studies, as well. I had to skip a quiz in science (fortunately she only uses the top 6, so it's okay) as I'm too tired from DS waking up several times a night (apparently related to the rash, as the timing coincides).

I got my paper back on Chaucer - I got a 5 out of 5 on it, and the instructor's only comment on it was "Wow!" - nice! :cb:

Diet is in a sad state these days, though I don't seem to be gaining (yet...). We're eating a LOT of Japanese food these days, as the ONLY way we can get veggies down DS's throat is in yakisoba. So we eat yakisoba every 2-3 days. At least it's packed with veggies and lean meat (or no meat), even if the sauce is somewhat sweet and the noodles are wheat. So while it could be better, it could also be a lot worse. And at least he's getting his veggies!! He's a funny kid, my DS is. He loves yakisoba, tofu (yes, I'm totally serious - he adores miso soup with tofu!), kimchee, and guacamole these days. Oh, and chicken and salmon. But he fights eating almost anything else. He accepts Cheerios for breakfast, but he's not overly enthusiastic. He's coming up on 2 - can you tell?
