Morning chicks. It is 1:30 here and I can't sleep. Grrrr. I have another busy weekend again. I have to teach in the morning and then we have to drive an hour away for Dh's sisters housewarming, then I work again on Sunday at the store. But atleast I have Monday off. Yipee. I finally got my picture crop. This is part of my team for Run for the Cure.

LAst night I went to dinner with my ladies
(not bad I had sizzling Mongolian Lamb and no rice!)
Then we went to barnes and noble and I previewed A Book I want from Amazon ;)
There is a writer's workshop there Tuesday :D I'm so excited
Back to phase 1 for me tommorrow AM
Then I'll have time to cook we're going to be running around like mad today then seeing U2 tonight!

Dorfus Dippinchunks checkin in here this morning :wave: :D

So far it has been a long week but a good one. I am at the bottom of my prior fluctuation but I am still not gonna count those #'s onthe ticker until I am sure it's not just my scale foolin me.

This morning dh is at work moving stuf around. His office bought another one and are incorporating the folks in this morning. He'll now share a corner office with an intern. I could use some moving furniture kind of exercise today. We'll see what I can do around here cleaning wise.

This week has been crazy with the boys. Beren is potty training (:woo: :high: ) and Logan is teething. I am pryaing that we see some teeth this weekend cause the poor baby is miserable and so is Mommy. I am hoping we can have an outing this afternoon of some sort to clear both of our heads. A little time out with no rain would be divine.

It's certainly a cold day for Thanksgiving weekend! Brrrr! 41F! The woodstove will be on a bit later.

Margo, Elaine and Bailey the dog, are just back from walking to the Mill and are nearly frozen. You sure get attention when you walk through the Village with three Portuguese Water Dogs! People think they are seeing triple!

Gotta dash and serve some hot drinks to my guests - the people, not the Doggage.

I've been for my walk and I'm enjoying a lazy housekeeping morning and an extra cup of coffee (shh) DH is mowing the lawn and DS is taking a college entrance exam. The sun is shining and my headache is gone :D Today once house upkeep is done DH and I may do a little shopping together. No big plans just a quiet weekend at home for us.

Lil Chick- Find some time for a nap somewhere in your busy weekend

Beach Bum- Congrats :cheer: No scale change for me but that's not unusual it will take me a while to lose these last pounds. I'm happy that the sugar cravings are gone and my energy is back

Schatzi- Sorry it's still raining :( and I hope you can go enjoy a good movie or snuggle and enjoy a good read

Hollyhock- My new name would be "Sloopy Dippin Face" I think it fits :lol:

KO- I wanna go see U2 :dancer: We were at Borders last night and replaced one of our Rolling Stones Lps (ya know those antique round vinyl things) with the CD. We came home cranked up the speakers and when DS came home from the football game he was shaking his head on the way to his room.

Aw Sweet Tea~ I miss those days so much. My 2 are 22 months apart so when DS was potty training DD was teething. Happy sigh. If wasn't so old I'd be on baby # 5 by now. I loved being home wiht my babes and all the "fun" stuff that goes with it.Enjoy every squack and puddle on the floor. HUGS!! Now they are 5&7.Seems sooo old.

KO, what writers workshop are you going to? I actually got sick at our annual Georgia Romance Writers conference here in Atlanta this past weekend. I missed the whole last day. Whaahh. :cry: But I did get into some awesome workshops on Saturday. There were two in particular that were really good. Deb Dixon blended Goal, Motivation and Conflict with The Hero's Journey. And another one "Every Gun is not a Glock. What you need to know before you put a gun in your book". Anyone ever held a Walther PPK??? I have! :D

Today I'm just hanging out with dh. He's been confined to quarters lo these past few weeks, painting our bedroom, so he deserves some time off for good behavior. ;) Not sure what we'll do. Maybe just take a drive. Next weekend is the Highland Games. Looking forward to that.

Hey Chicks! It's been a lazy Sat. morning. I've rearranged my weekend plans and will head to the lab in about an hour or so. It's gray and dingy out so I'm still in my flannel Pj's with my fluffy slippers on!! I'm gonna have one more cup of tea and then get my butt in gear. Have a great day, everyone!!

Well, Chicks.....I have been bad, bad, bad the past 2 days(Today doesnt count, :lol: ) Thursday nite was Pizza Hut. After I got done, it dawned on me it tasted like cardboard. But, we have a friend staying with us and she bought, so who was I to say no?? Next time I will find something to eat other than that! Ick! Last nite was our fav chinese buffet. Nothing was as good as it was last time. Probably cause I have been doing a P1.5 deal for a couple of weeks. I loved-past tense there, wanton soup. And it was greasy to me last nite. But, it was Mama's treat, so who was I to say no? Next time I will make OP choices, like creating a HUGE salad and stuff.
This morning they went to Sams and bought the place out. So I have plenty of chicken breasts and frozen veggies now, :cb:!
Our friend is making ribs for supper, and it will be OP since she discovered a few months ago she cannot have sugar, and knows I am on SBD. :D
But other than those 2 snaffoose, I did pretty good this week
OH!!! I made the bean muffins and browies Thur, and brought them to work yest......One of the ladies I work with just plain doesn't eat alot if sugar, LOVED them. Told me I needed to get my laptop out, hooked it up, and get her the recipes. Couldnt believe they were made outta beans, cpl other ppl who eat sugar, said the brownies were ok, but really liked the muffins, go figure huh?

Today, going to get my hair cut after work. I will post a pic when I get home. :) Can't wait.....

BB-I didn't start having any problems until I started eating a good bit of bad carbs. I was eating maybe one a week and still losing. What did me in was a box of icecream sandwiches. I say I have been doing P 1.5 cause some days I will eat a good carb or 2, and some days I won't have any carbs at all. It just varies with what I have in the kitchen and money. :lol:

beach bum -- I don't weigh myself every day anymore but I used to. I have been trying to only do it every 3 or 4 days to try and break the habit. It was setting me up for disaster I think. A bad day onthe scale used to be my ok to have a bad day, etc. Sometimes it's hard but worth not driving myself crazy. I'm already half crazy anyway :D.

Yes you are Sweet Tea, but Savannah has a way of doing that to ppl! :dizzy:

Hi chicks, I am the one in the pink pants, then dd friend sam, then Megan (my youngest) Deric my cousins son, then Karla,and in the front is Shelby (my oldest with the glasses) and then her friend Alison. My sister in law and my two neices left before we had our photo taken. Well I am off to bed I am very sleepy and my head is aching from the drive home. It is raining like crazy here.

Dipsy Lizard Butt here! Wow! I've really been absent on the board and on the diet. Very stressful at work lately and this week has taken it's toll on me. I totally lost it last night and indulged in any food I wanted, this continued through the day. Glad tomorrow is a new day. Need to examine different ways to deal with the stress. It's turning out to be TOM as well, so I need to find some calgon, zen and yoga to combat the coming week or so.

I'll read the posts tomorrow and get caught up! Love to all!

Another quickie check-in while my guests are in the bathroom. The computer is in my bedroom and I handed it over for the weekend to Margo and Bailey.

It's still cold and rainy - yick! Margo, Elaine and I are having fun but not as much fun as the three "girls"! After some initial grrrring, Hershey has established that she is the boss and all is well. They also had their afternoon nap together on my bed! I'll see if I can post the picture. (Nope - way to big so I'll resize later!)

I'm afraid I'm not very OP this weekend :( although I am trying to make good choices as much as I can. After Church today and farewell to my visitors, I am going to neighbour Liz's house for "lunch" with her family and then over to the Farm to have Thanksgiving dinner with sister Joan and her crew. Nephew/Godson Brien has a new and serious girlfriend that I'm to check out.

It's scary, but I'm starting to get used to it. :eek: I decided to start logging all this non-Beach food on Fitday to see exactly what I'm eating. I'm down another 1/2 pound and can't see how I can possibly be losing given what I've been eating.

Ok, gotta go do some laundry. Cleaned out my closet for the winter. Such fun.

OMG a well rested and relaxed Hollyhock!!!! Woooohoooooo!!!! An entire day of no pressing engagements. Putter and more putter. I completed ALL of the Avon bookkeeping!!! We had the loveliest family time. No whining from anyone including me!!! A great morning so far.
Going to church and then cooking my heart out with the the Thanksgiving fixins.
I want to do a a tidy thru and vacuum and pull out my fall decorations. Better late than never.
I had a wonderful chit chat with my co chair from school council. I really needed some feedback on my "talk" the other night. She thinks I covered things well and remained emoitionally dettached. There have been some personal attacks flying around. Hard not to be upset.This is challenging in a good way.
It is 0C outside and 15C in the house( 32F and 60F).I wore my granny flannies to bed, pulled out the extra blanket and wooly socks!!!!!!
I did some weeding and transplanting yesterday. Once the bird in in the oven I will mulch and water those bits.

OK, I can't stand it anymore...I have to change my ticker! I'm now at 204 even though I was down to 201 before TOM popped up a week early. I'll get back there!! Finally, the scale and I are dancing in the right direction! Maybe now we can do a nice sexy smooth Rhumba instead of a gittery, all over the place Cha Cha Cha! :lol:

I'm finishing up my first cup and about to get a second. And it's the good coffee, too! I love it. I'm wearing my flannel pj's again...love these things. And, I love the fact that when I bought them they were too tight and now they're perfect :D ! Yeay!! Not sure what to have for b'fast yet. I'm getting a late start. Probably some kind of egg/tofu omlette.

Speaking of tofu, I made a new vegetarian recipe from the new cookbook! YUMMY! I'll post it in a minute. It's got kale, cauliflower, tofu, and yummy gooey cheese!!

I wanted to see W/G but DH seems to think any animated or claymation film is for children ? Grrrr... Went to the Outback . Chubbed up on a good steak and salad..and cawfee and sambucca...

Sunday's around here are full of "Meet The Press", "George Stephanoupolus"..listening to DH mutter and converse and shout at the TV...
Another overcast rainy day here..Sheesh I'm beginning to think I live in Seattle..

Having a good day so far. Our house guest made biscuits and gravy. She knows I can't have it (now its more like the fact I wont eat it if I want to stay awake the rest of the day) but put some sausage on the side for me, bless her heart, :). I tried it, it was tooooo greasy and icky tasting for me. I told her I appreciated it, but it would make my tummy upset, and it would. So she said she'd make me an omelet(she's good about that). But I told her to go sit down, I would make it myself. :)
Going to make a couple soups in a little while. Haven't tried any yet, but I have a hankering for some since the weather started getting cooler. Wish me luck. Other than that, maybe some packing.

It rained Elephants yesterday here in Lovely scenic NJ If not for U2 we would not have left the house last night!
That being said OMG the concert was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
at the beginning Bono was introducing the band and then he said and Who plays bass? and everyone in Madison Square Garden SCreamed THE EDGE!
(I swear I'm going to name a pet or a child the edge one day)
we danced and sang all night :love: i love them!
in other news DH and I are going to be renting a townhouse around the corner from where we are now there are 2 sets of stairs but thus far doable for my young and decrepit arse

The writers workshop is just put on by Gotham writers workshop on Tuesday night so we'll see

I am about to pop a 15 lb turkey in the oven for the 4 of us.Tomorrow I will be bagging up 4 0z packages for me for in the freezer and then making soup stock and some stew and 1 tiny batch of turkey tetrazini,YUM.

Church was peaceful and lovely. The day is following suit. The kids just gathered up twigs,leaves etc to make decorations for the house. I have a speedy clean thru to do and we will decorate for fall( late I know). Oh happy sigh. Dh just left to watch the race with the boys and will be home for dinner. The kids will love surprising him with the decorations.
Today will not be super OP but I will decline the potatoes and have a tiny bit of stuffing and a small slice o pie. Back in the saddle tomorrow. Oh and couple of glasses of wine.
Feeling insanely happy and totally blissed out with love for my sweet little family.

Well, our power went out at 8 and just came back on a few minutes ago. Poor Liz is attempting to cook the turkey on the BBQ. I can hear a few curses floating throught the trees up on the hill! Yes, her "lunch" is turkey!

Hershey was the designated Church dog today and behaved beautifully until we went up for communion when she grabbed an apple from the decorations near the altar rail! It was not at our own Church but everyone laughed anyhow. She also managed to remove a cookie from a litle kid during the passing of the Peace!

I'm off up the hill for Liz's "lunch" and then will go to Joan's for 6 to vet the potential new family member. This is going to be a very difficult day!

We're in between rain drops right now,expecting more this afternoon.Oh Well!! Its was nice for a while.Dh is watching ther football,and I'm going to relax and finish my book. Just got home from having our ususaly brunch at Friendlys with my friends and than went to Home Goods to do some window shopping. Found & Bought my DGK there halloween orange felt bags with black cat stitched on top,now I have to find something to fill it with.I also got a hand grater ,so I don't have to pull my big one out all the time when trying to grate small items. Oh!! I hope I won't confuse anyone with my 3 tickers.I lost the poundage that I had as a Oct goal so I added an extra one,just in case I lose some more.Hope you all haved a wonderful Sunday, and I'll be back tomorrow.
