Ruthxxx -- so, do you know what's under that carpet yet???
djett626-- Your post reminded me to go refill my water bottle :D -- thank you! That massage sounds heavenly -- glad it helped. Have a great day!! Schatzi -- Congrats on getting your NC liscences out of the way. When we moved back to GA last summer I thought I must surely have to retest and jump through hoops but all I had to do was show birth cert., insurance, and papers from our house purchase. They didn't even test my eyes! I did hear some teens talking about the drivers test and all they had to do was make 4 right turns and parallel park ! Ya'll watch out if you're drivin through Savannah!!! After reading the Dark Tower series I went back and reread a lot of Stephen King that I had not read in a while and there was soooooo much in each book that he had tower refrences to. Insomnia finally made perfect sense to me whereas I had actually dropped it the first go around. I'm right now rereading Dark House and I'm reading the last Harry Potter. Kiko -- Did you have a good time in Ohio? Little Chick-- Hope your day goes well! May all your socks have matches when they come out of the dryer  Kyemom-- congrats on staying op at the game! I would have been sooooo tepmted by the fries . Enjoy those open windows and send some cool breezes our way!! Beach Bum -- I wish we had a BJ's here. We have Sams which is good but when I lived up in N.Virginia I shoped at BJ's and really thought they had a better selection of foods and items you could really use. Sams here is ok though. Hope you all get out of there without buying too much!! Barb 1037 -- Have a great Lunch!! What a busy day you have! PHinsUP! - How exciting for your daughter!! I would love to be able to repeat that first day of college. I felt so grown up and important :). Your pizza sounds yummy! I'll have to remembr that when I start adding things back in on Phase 2. :( That is so sad about the kid(s) in the park. Is this something that has happened there before that you know of? Poor family :(. |
jenne1017 -- August isn't over yet girlie!!!! :) Have a great day!!
|
Sweet.....Unfortunately, it has happened before, not in recent years tho.
|
So many early girls!!! (Like the tomatoes!!) ;)
Well, hello & good morning! So nice to see such friendly posts & warm energy on the beach! Ruthxxx - Can't wait to hear what is under that carpet! So nice to have friends to help. That is a big job. DJett - Isn't it amazing what those massage therapists can do?? I LOVE it when I can get in to see one. Schatzi - Congrats on getting your NCDL!! Now, you're street legal! PhinsUp - Great pizza idea. :jeno: I'll look forward to gettting more creative once I get to Phase II. Did the cheese melt? What is a BJ's?? I had to laugh at what my first thought was.... :tape: Jenne - Hang in there! August is not over, yet. The Elephant Bar was fun last night. It is a chain - I'm in California, but I'm sure they are all over. It was easy to get a basic salad with grilled chicken on top (dressing on the side). And, there was a TON - so I had the chick leftovers with my eggs this morning! I feel so lucky. Off for a lunch with a friends today - so I'll be looking for anothere salad. Might be harder at this place, but we'll see. I'm really happy this morning b/c the skirt I put on is loose. Is it possible to lose water weight in your legs? Just feels great to be less bloated. Have a wonderful Wednesday all! XO-Roxy :df: |
well i just arrived at work (1/2 hour late as usual) and man am i exhausted. usually i bike till i hit one road and then i walk my bike up to the office because the hill is quite steep and painful to bike up (or presumably cause i've never tried it). well today i became adventurous. i didn't bike up that hill but i did the hill (more gradual) on the road before it. i had to switch down from 7th gear to 2nd trying to get up the damn hill thinking to myself the whole time 'i think i can, i think i can'. well i made it but my legs are jello.
its also amazing how much water you can down after an experience like that and not even be truly quenched. well i'm off to get more water and go to my first meeting of the day. hope all is well with everyone |
HEY CHICKS! GOT ROOM FOR AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE??????
Sorry I haven't been around. We've had a virus on the computer at home - finally got that fixed. It actually wasn't a virus but about 11 adware or spyware programs?!?!?! And we have been sooooo busy at work I haven't had time to do anything. But I'm back now. Missed you guys. I haven't even had time to lurk so I have no idea what is going on with every one. I'll catch up eventually. I tried a new diet for a couple of weeks. Montignac is what it is called. Didn't work and it was really hard to cook everything etc. There was a lot of effort in preparing everything. So today is my first day back on the SBD. Boy I hate that bloated feeling from eating carbs. Can't wait to get back to feeling normal. No new love life news. Still boring old me. Just getting DS ready for school. His doc sent us to a pediatric opthamologist and guess what - he doesn't need glasses. Makes you wonder about those store front locations. They were ready to sell us another pair of glasses he didn't need. Take care chicks! |
Oh my goodness, so many posts this morning that I will never be able to remember what each one said.
Phins up~~ You must be so excited for your DD but will miss her at the same time. Thank goodness she is still in the same state. I hope she enjoys her college years! Schatzi~~I have read almost everything by S.King but not the Towers series. That is at the top of my Fall/Winter reading list. Thanks for the nice complements on my home. The Webshots pics tend to be alittle distorted unless viewed in "Full view" but it gives the general idea.I just love the dishwasher drawers. Never thought I'd say that about a dishwasher. Ruth~~What did you find under the carpet?? Inquiring minds want to know  LC~When are you going to slow down alittle bit? Anchor Weight~~Welcome back to the beach :beach: Sweet tea, Roxy, N.Wytch, Jenne, Barb, BB, Kiko and Kyemom (and anybody I missed)~ Have a great day!! Me~I just finished a wonderful omlette of sauted asparagus, portobello mushrooms and onions w/LF cheese and a LC wheat tortilla. I am stuffed :D |

Hey Just a quickie b/c I'm poooped
I've fallen Totally off the beachtowel because we have literally NO FOOD and no time (until tonight) to get some Dh and I had a wedding last night and didn't get home till 3:30 am I'm wiped and my food choices STUNK. My stomach took revenge it doesn't like carbs! SO back on track for tommorrow ok back to work! Kier |
I'm Back from B'J's and got only the things we needed.
Sweet Tea I love  B'Js,it not as large as the one in N.Y. but it has the stuff we need.It cost us $115 for the stuff. The town was fighting not to have one there community as it was take trade away from the local shops, but it really doesn't not all people buy in bulk. Roxy B J's is a super warehouse that has all kinds of foods, merchandise, books, records, tapes ,bakery etc. etc. etc.but you have to buy them in Bulk.We bought 2 (2 qt) bottles of V8 3 (2lb13 oz)jars of Ragu tomato sauce 2 lg bottle of marinated mushrooms,Vitamins,2 Oral B 3 electric tooth brush set with additional electric tooth pick. Its can be expensive but its worth to buy in bulk ONLY the things you use and need. Anchor Hi:wave: Glad to see your back, missed you also.Wow My dh is always checking out the spywear on our :comp: computer also. That terrrible you had such trouble. Hope you don't bank on line(identiyt theft),like my DD does,we worn her all the time about the subject, but she doesn't listen. Have a nice day Hugs :) BB |
I found The Drawing of the Three (book2) of the Dark Towers in my attic (never read it). I cannot find the rest of my King books that I packed away.
Does anybody know if I can start this book and understand what's going on without reading book 1? I read the "argument" in the book and it recaps the story of book 1. |
Question for you all
I was wondering if the rotassery chicken (sp) from Walmart or Albertson's would be ok on phase 1.
I know not to eat the skin, but sometimes you go and they have BBQ or a Apricot one? thanks, |
Patty -- BBQ and Apricots are no-nos on phase 1. They contain sugar usually to sweeten up the basting sauces. You can ask about it but I would stay away!
|
1day~I do not think that the BBQ or the Apricot would be in Phase 1 doue to the sugar content. Sometimes these rotissary chickens can still be alittle greasy, so be sure not to eat the skin and pat off the fat.
|
Hi Sil~~, King does a good job on the recaps.. You could start with The Drawing of Three, and not be lost. (Must be some sort of weirdness of me.. I simply can't do it..I must start at Vol 1 and work forward! Ken (DH) got me a book one Xmas, and it was book 3 of some series..I had to go and buy 1 and 2- and read them in order :dizzy: )
