Woohooo!
So I went on vacation to Atlanta..and ate a lot of stuff that I would not normally have eaten...and I made sure I ran every single night and incorporated lots of walking/hiking...we hiked up a mountain (750 stairs total)..tubed down a river...ect ect and by not stressing over eating..and making sure I excercised I LOST a POUND! I was so scared that I was going to Gain but I didn't!
This week I am back on phase 1 Josh gained 8 pounds cause he ate way more bad stuff then I did..so he is back on phase 1 as well.... I am just really proud of myself and wanted to share this with all of you...:) |
It's amazing that large amounts of physical activity can counter alot of calories. I read about a study in the Amish community, how the men tend to eat well over 3000 calories a day, with traditional farmers breaksfasts-eggs, biscuits, gravy and because they do so much physical activity in farming they don't really have obesity problems the way we do.
My sister started a very physically demanding job a couple years ago, with lots of running around a factory and lifting 50 pound cases and lost almost 30 pounds that year without changing her diet. Good idea about going back to phase 1 just to detox yourself. Because it's so easy to slide back to the old ways of eating after a fun vacation and unwise food choices. Sarah |
