HAHAHAHA I was going to say "Is there an overdrinkers anonymous?" but then I realized that it's AA. I don't think I'm THAT bad. I gave it up for a couple of months the first time around on South Beach, so I can't be too bad. Did I miss it? Of course. Just like you all miss your favorite dessert or POTATO. (Is there a potato-eaters anonymous??? I may need to join that one.) Being Irish is rough. Potatos and beer are STAPLES in my normal diet. :dizzy:

Hi Ashley,

Welcome to 3FC! Does the xo before the ash in your nn stand for hugs and kisses? Or something else?

All I can think of to suggest for the emotional eating is to try to find another outlet. For example, if you are eating because you are angry or hurt, try listening to some music, or talking to a friend, or doing something you like - it's better if you actually do something that involves your hands or talking - it's harder to eat then! Or if you are depressed, try doing something nice for someone in need - it's amazing what a pick-me-up that can be!

Best of luck to you!

Thanks. Yeah, the 'xos' stand for hugs and kisses. I always write them so I figured what the heck. Today is only day one and I've already had to watch people eat fast food, and chicken nuggets(my fave) and I was offered chocolate. I'm being tough though. I have cheese...kidding...kind of.

Ashley- I remember dieting through middle and high school and almost having no options besides bringing lunch and no cheerleader would eat so I usually had my water and sometimes snuck a piece of fruit and then went home and ate everything in site. Awww Homecoming boy do I miss high school! I only graduated 4 years ago (I am 22) but it feels like forever ago!

Hey girl, Welcome and Good Luck on your diet. I am 20 and have been on the diet for 5 months and down 31 pounds. Im also a student and I am always hungry, start buying some ziplock bags and putting small snacks in your bag. And if you dont have time for a meal try Slim Fast or EAS carb control protein shakes, they taste great. Its better to have real meals, but if time is your problem, dont deprive yourself. Try it, you'll love it.
