SF Drink Mix

  • Question!
I know we're allowed to have sugarfree drink mix as a beverage on phase one. But is it limited? I know I can down a pitcher in a day! I was just wondering because I like to have it sometimes instead of plain water all day long.
  • I have sf kool aid and crystal lite a lot. Dont think its limited!
  • Most aren't calorie free so watch that.

And it doesn't count towards your total water, so mix it up a bit and rotate between the two!
  • They may say 0 calories but .99999 can be listed as 0 calories so limit your quantities. There is usually sodium in the mixes as well as stuff we can't pronounce or spell.
  • Why does it not count as water? It is 99.5 % water...Not like there is anything in it.
  • Your body has to process the other stuff in it so you miss some of the benefits of water. This plan is about avoiding stuff like that.
  • So, do they not count at all towards your water or just not ounce for ounce? I have such a hard time drinking 90 oz of water a day.
  • Dilute it. Water is definitely better for you but some of that is better than nothing.
  • Ruth is on it like a moth to a flame!!!!!!!!
  • Oh yes, I always dilute!! Thanks!!
  • Hmmm my nutritionist told me it counted as my water. I hated drinking plain ole water for awhile and my ice tea and sf drinks counted for me.
  • Wow, this is all confusing. I will continue drinking the "supposedly 0 cal" stuff along with plain old water. I'm peeing like a russian racehorse, all night long too , so I think I'm staying hydratated!
  • Odd how mixed messages get out there, huh?

I thought it counted as water but then I was told by doctors and others here alike that the chemicals that they put in SF drink mixes cause the body to break down such drinks. Water doesn't get "broken down" per se since it's just Hydrogen and Oxygen.
