New to the beach
 

Hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself as a new member of this board. I recently finished reading the South Beach Diet and am going to be following the diet with my husband. He is (lucky guy) all muscle but has blood pressure so high the nurses always think their machine is broken, and I am trying to lose weight and get healthy.

I have enjoyed reading the post so far and found the handbook on Phase 1 extremely helpful. I look forward to chatting with everyone!

I want to welcome you and your husband to the beach, Dawn. South Beach has certainly helped my blood pressure and hopefully it will help your husband's. If he is on medication for his blood pressure (I used to be on 3), he should monitor it regularly. I had to keep going to the doc to get my meds reduced as I lost weight.
