I thought I could provide some insite. This question pops up all the time on the Official SBD website. The nutritionists always reccommend Phase 2 while nursing. I do think it has something to do with ketosis. I know my aunt was breastfeeding while she was eating only rabbit meat as her meat (no fat at all) and her babies were not getting enough nutrition. They were eating like crazy, but not gaining weight. She had to change her diet. I know they are very adament about not doing phase 1 while breastfeeding. I can find a post on it from a nutritionist if you'd like... Let me know. :)

Thanks everyone for your insight. I think I'll just go with phase two. She's already 8 1/2 months old, so I really don't have that long to go anyway before I can do phase one without any worry as I'm hoping to wean when she is 1. I would hate to go through all this and have to stop....
