Hump Day on the Beach!!! (that would be Wednesday)

Hey, girls! And guys! :D

I'm going to a garden centre! My first of the year. Actually, that's not true. Ruth took me to her friend's garden centre, but the darned thing wasn't open, and I could only look and drool.
I can't wait to pick up some stuff...

Otherwise... feeling fairly crappy as I've only lost 2 pounds in six days. :( Maybe next week will be better.

Hope everyone is well... have a lovely OP day!! :grouphug:

Bamiegurl 05-18-2005 07:29 AM

Ellis...Good Mornin'! Don't let it get you down just chug a lug the water while your out getting plants today! I love lookin at all the plants. I know it can be very frustratin waitin for the weight to drop but hang in there maybe it's waitin to show ya a big loss at once.

Not much happenin round here today. DS wants me to take him to school late cause he does not want to sit through senior awards. DD does not want to go at all cause she is goin to a baseball game all day. I have a Home Interiors luncheon at O'Charley's today. I am plannin to stay totally OP! So it looks like DD and I will take DS to school on our way to lunch. teehee I wish she would have asked me lastnight like DS cause then i could have slept in til 8! Oh well I probably slept in enough yesterday! lol I hope you all have an OP day today! Brittany says hey!

Hi Beach Buddies:

I am into week three on the beach. My favorite part is still not being hungry. The scale part is not going as well. I had an initial great week 1 of phase 1 and since then the scale has been up 1 down 1 so progress isn't happening.I am on my 2nd weekof phase two. So as far as the scale I posted this comment on another forum. Hope it helps Ellis.

"I wish the reverse on my weight control mechanism in my body worked as well as the forward."

Need to get to the gardening center my self. I live in NY and we need to get all the spring we can, even though its still cold its not snowing.

Good day to all

MarineTubaMom 05-18-2005 07:49 AM

Good morning, Chicklets!

I know what you mean about the scale. I actually gained back like 8 or 9 pounds of the original 17 that I lost until I went off program at Christmastime. I have lost one pound of that, but you know, I just can't seem to get myself together to go on program completely. I make all these promises to myself, but I'm struggling. A lot of it, in my case, is the fact that since we moved, we are out of district, so I have to drive my daughter across town to school and then make arrangements with anyone I can to get her picked up. I work in South Park, so I have an hour and ten minute commute one way..ugh... school is out May 25, though, so I will not have any excuses after that.

Quite honestly, I'm looking forward to it because I'm thinking I could walk the parking garage at work and then at home, and the stress of arriving to work on time will be gone because summer will be here (no school)...

I'm so thankful that I have this community to look to for support and guidance... there sure are some awesome folks around here! i want you all to know that whether you have lost a gazillion pounds or two, you are all inspiring to me...

Okay, enough mush from me for this morning....I have to light a fire under my dd so she will hurry up and get ready for school... I'm dreading going to work today... not sure why..I just don't want to be there at all this week...

On the other hand, I have a phone conference scheduled with a band director today. I signed up as a consultant with a bath/body company and am working on getting the high school bands on board with fundraisers. the only reason i signed up was to pay off my son's band commitment..he is absolutely tickled at the idea of a rival marching band paying off his commitment....LOL

anyway, i'm off...i hope you guys have wonderful days!

hugs!

Ruthxxx 05-18-2005 07:54 AM

Hey, yourself, Bamie and Brittany! So Brittany gets to skip school and have a neat lunch with her Mum? Harumph! Bamie, it sure sounds as if your knee feels better. Is it? Or are you faking it and taking drugs?

Ellis, don't fret over the small drop. You and I both know that it will happen. Are you glugging water instead of diet cola? Which garden centre will you grace with your presence - and money - today? I wish I could go with you.

Morning, Gina. NY or NYC? I think we have the same weather if you are in NY State! This is an unusually cold May although I do remember one when it snowed on the 19th! Oy! I was working then and took off that week to garden! It's bound to get better though.

It's a gorgeous day here in Deltaland :encore: and I've already put out the garbage - wearing my robe. Usually I can just get out and in without anyone spotting me but today my neighbour Steve came out, two students came to pick him up, two American guys walked down the street to get a Long Horn breakfast and my neighbour came by with her dog on the way to run him at the Fairgrounds! :o Who says small towns are quiet!

Sarah is coming this morning - on trial but she doesn't know it! I will set her to raking the dog garden and trimming our more black raspberry bushes while I work elsewhere on the property. We'll see how she does. I definitely will be hiring someone else next spring (and maybe fall) for the major cleanup. In the meantime, she's all I've got. I've checked out some of the young guys around here (no comments!) and they all seem to want only macho jobs like digging and cutting down trees, not raking and weeding.

Today we should all keep little Sammi and SarahLL1031 in our thoughts and prayers as S. has her surgery and Sarah worries about her wee one. :grouphug:

Have a super Hump Day, Chickies.

Bamiegurl 05-18-2005 08:28 AM

Prayers for Sam and Sarah!

Ruth...My knee is doin ok. I have not taken any drugs this week although I have wanted/needed to. It is still sore and has a lil pain still but I think it's doin well overall.

It seems Brittany wants me to pick her up from school after I drop Zack off because she has to pay for her 8th gd picnic today or she can't go. I will probably take her to the mall after lunch to start buyin her clothes for Australia. That reminds me I need to find out what the weather is like in July there. I'm off to have breakfast before my backbone starts chargin my stomach rent! lol

twiceblessedmom 05-18-2005 08:48 AM

Morning chicks!

Ruth, I'm sorry, what type of surgery is Saras lil one having...my DD has been sick since this weekend and I'm falling behind here. I wish them well!

I have REALLY been bad this week...I've ate a few lil things here and there that I KNOW I shouldn't, had WAY too much diet rootbeer/not nearly enough water, and WAY too many 'sugar free' treats. Fortunately so far the scale has just remained as it was, but I just feel bloated...so back to business for me today!

Hope you all have a great one!

beachgal 05-18-2005 08:51 AM

Ooh, Ellis, have a blast! Enjoy all those beautiful plants and make sure to take home a bunch...it's not a successful garden center trip unless you come home with at least one plant that you have no place for. ;) Looking forward to hearing about your adventure! :D Sweetie, I know it's hard when the scale doesn't move as much as you want, but I know it will move. :grouphug: When it does, we'll have a lot of ONEderland celebrating to do!!! :hyper:

Bamie, have a great time at your lunch and good for you on staying OP in the face of temptation. :bravo: You're setting a great example for DD!!! :D I'm glad the knee is feeling better, but don't be afraid to take your meds if it's hurting...the less pain your body has to deal with, the more time it can spend on healing. :grouphug:

Hey, Gina! I live in NY too--Finger Lakes Region here. It's definitely been cold the last couple days but as you said, no snow. As long as it isn't snowing, I'm good. Don't stress about the garden center...some of the flowers aren't even blooming in our local greenhouses yet. I'm going to have to go back for the flats of impatiens I get every year because I couldn't tell what colors they will be! I know it can be hard when the weight doesn't move. Do you drink lots of water? Have you added exercise in? It helps immensely. Check what you are eating on www.fitday.com to make sure you are getting enough food and that you aren't getting too much fat or protein. Are you getting all your veggies? They really help. You might be eating too many starches or fruits. Each person is different. If you lost the pound this week, I'd do another week with what you are doing now and see how it goes. If nothing changes, I'd think about taking away a fruit or a starch and do that for a week to see what happens. Figuring this out can be frustrating, but it's actually really cool that you can modify to plan to what works for you. And in the end, it really does work! I gained about 5 pounds while I figured out Phase 2, but I've lost 90+ since then and I'm still losing, though much more slowly now. You can do this! :D

Aileen, I know that it can be hard to work SBD in with all the other things going on in your life. Can your DH help with food prep? Maybe he can make you a smoothie for breakfast and a baggie of veggies to munch on in the car as you drive to work? Or maybe he can make dinner so you can get some time in to relax? If DH is as busy as you are, can you maximize the time you have on weekends (or whenever you have some free time) and make a ton of meals, baggies of veggies, salads (like 3 bean, coleslaw, etc.) and such for the week so you don't have to stress about it later? You can do this if you put your mind to it and allow others to help you. :grouphug:

Ruth, you darling girl...life in Delta is sounding like a sitcom on BBC today! I love the thought of you in your robe running into half the town and a couple tourists! You weren't lugging bushels of wine bottles to the curb this time, I hope? ;) That Sarah better work her tuchus off, is all I can say! :coach: Oy about snow...when I moved here they told me that the only month that hasn't had snow is July. :yikes: What is that all about??? You enjoy this beautiful day...how are the Girls doing? It doesn't feel like a real morning without a story about your furkids!

Tina, I hope your DD feels better soon and that you can jump back on the wagon so you feel better too! See us reaching hands to help you back up? :D

Lots of prayers and caring going out to SarahLL and her little one today. I'm hoping that the surgery is a prayer come true for them. :grouphug:

Me:
Well, up two pounds, but last night was a late eating night, so I'm not going to stress about it. Did 25 mins on the elliptical at work, so that was very good. :strong: The sun is shining (but it's still cold out there...) and I'm still scot free of homework as our prof didn't give us assignments last night. She swears she have them for us on Thursday. If she doesn't, I'll be one ticked off lady. I need to get this work done!!!

My last balance ball class is tonight (or is there one more after this?). It's been a great class, especially because I can do several of the moves at home as long as I remember them. It's a hard workout! I'm making a steak salad with sourdough croutons for dinner along with some steamed asparagus. Yum! :T There's a lot to be done at work, so I better be off...

PHinsUP! 05-18-2005 08:53 AM

OMG I just got a phone call from my DD from school, last night a girl she's known since kindergarten was involved in a terrible accident and may not make it.
She was over at a friends house (the friends a 10th grader) and the friend was having a big fight with her mom, so she ran out of the house, jumped in Tiffany's truck and threw it in reverse, and ran completely over Tiffany! Tiffany was flown to Birmingham where she's in critical condition! This girl is supposed to graduate in 9 days! I can't believe this! The girl who ran her over was sitting at the table beside us at the Athletic Banquet last night. And my DH said he was talking to Tiffany yesterday.
Something tragic almost always happens right before school gets out!
Y'all pray for Tiffany to pull thru!

HottieInHiding 05-18-2005 08:56 AM

Good morn - another quickie for me (it seems that everything in my life has been that way lately!)

After the calorie discussion yesterday and I logged all my foods into fitday, I went and ate a bunch of Pita Chips and hummus! (Yes, they are considered OP - but I had already had my "carbs" for the day, and was at my calorie limit!) Dinner was also a little too salty (DH cooked! He admitted it!) AND I only got about 1.75 Liters of water in.... so ....

I wasn't going to weigh this morning, but yes I'm up. Duh.... I'm ok about it. I'll just drink drink drink water today and stick to my oats and my apple for the "carb." I feel all puffy so I know it's mostly water retention.

Gotta run - take kid to school, run errands, take son to Library and park, go to Walgreens.

Have a great day!

PS - I'm letting my daughter play Hooky on Monday so we can go see Star Wars! Isn't that terrible, and I'm a former teacher!

SARAH and SAMMI!!! Hope all goes well today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anchor weight 05-18-2005 09:08 AM

Morning chicks!

Sarah & Sammi - Good luck today. Many prayers are with you! :grouphug:

Bami - Sounds like you are doing well with that knee. Just remember to baby it. I know that is hard for a go getter like you.

Ellis - Have fun today! I went to the greenhouse this weekend and spent a ton! Don't worry about the scale. Just stick to it.

Everyone else - All of those who are struggling/dissappointed - try writing down what you eat in a day in calories and measure your portions. That is something that Dr. Atkins always used to call carb creep. I know just by doing my leek fest for the past two days that looking back - my portions were crazy out of control. Lose the diet soda and remember that for some people the "sugar free" treats work just like sugar on your body.

Speaking of emotional eating - I'm wondering if my binging was the result of old emotions being dug up by seeing the old flame. I was doing so well and just blew it. They say realizing what triggers emotional eating is half the battle so I'm going to speak with my therapist on Thursday and see if we can work on this trigger problem.

I'm glad my little leek fest is done. I'm glad I did it but boy was it hard. I have to admit - I felt great! I'm back on the beach this morning. I had a small cup of cottage cheese this morning and a small V8. I'll have fish and salad for lunch today. DF is kind of mad because I cooked "spicy sauteed grouper" last night in the house and it is kind of stinky. Oh well. Good thing DM is at golf camp this week cause she would be ballistic. She is allergic to seafood and really can't take the smell of fish.

I'm back down to 199 so I'm happy with weigh in this morning. I may try to do the leek fest once a month to recalibrate my portions and exercise control over my eating. I'm planning on staying drinkie free for a couple of weeks and that combined with sticking to the beach should work wonders. I'm on a downward spiral chicks! Watch out weight.

anchor weight 05-18-2005 09:11 AM

Phins - OMG! DS and I will keep that family in our prayers!

ellis 05-18-2005 09:15 AM

Oh, lordy... Phins, I will certainly be saying prayers for Tiffany and her family today. :(

Girls, thanks for all of your support... I was just running out the door when I saw the post about Tiffany...

Bamiegurl 05-18-2005 09:15 AM

Phins...OMG! That is aweful! I will keep her in my prayers. Keep us posted!

My thoughts and intense prayers go out to Sarah and her little girl Sammi I know Sarah must be so worried for her!

My prayers also go out to Tiffany that she will be out of the hospital very soon.

beachgal 05-18-2005 10:48 AM

Mamaeli, referring to your post yesterday, you need to plan ahead to make this plan work for you, okay? Make sure you have what you need available for dinner so you have mostly protein and veggies and only one dessert. Remember that you need to keep to 75 cals or less of sugar free items that have no nutritional value (fudgsicles, the pie, etc.), okay? You also need way more veggies...get them in your eggs in the morning, add them at lunch, and make sure you have two big servings at dinner, okay? Check out the Best Veggies sticky for more info. You can do this! :cheer: :D

mamaeli 05-18-2005 10:54 AM

How awful, anytime, but especially when it's so close to you.......It's so scary. As a teacher, I only pray that nothing like that happens at my school. Lots of prayers and support your way, Phins.
And prayers too to Sarah and her DD. So much going on.... :grouphug:

As for me, up a lb today, but I think that may because I was clothed when I got on the scale....... :o Every morning now my almost 2 year old sees me run downstairs in my bra and undies to jump on the scale and says "Mommie naked! Mommie naked! " Hope I'm not damaging his psyche! Said that too when I leaned over in a V-neck to tie his shoes and he got a view.....still working on the total concept, I guess.

I think I'm packing in enough veggies, but have decided to go a little easier on the cheese. Even though it's low fat, I think it's influencing me in other ways....if you know what I mean.

Hope you have a great day, and good luck staying OP! :cheer:

jenne1017 05-18-2005 11:02 AM

Hey chickies,

Just when I thought I was back...and just when I was going to start again wouldn't you know it.

I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL Wed and Thursday!

They thought it was appendicitis but it was an infection on it's way to going ceptic! I went to an urgent care clinic (was better off just going to the hospital) who FINALLY called an ambulance and well, I was on morphine for a bit ;)

Needless to say, I didn't start SB again like I said I would on Sat. In fact, yesterday was my first day back at work. I've only been drinking Cranberry Juice (light) and eating soup, bananas and applesauce (not mixed together though). Not very SB if you ask me.

So now, June 1 is my start date. I hate to push it back but after paying the bills, I have no cash to do it this turn around. I will come back from vacation on either the 31st or the 1st, but the 1st is it. 2nd time around but my 2,347th attempt at the 2nd time.

Happy Hump Day. Sorry I was MIA.

Barb0522 05-18-2005 11:20 AM

oh, PHins - how awful! Tiffany will definitely be in my prayers along with Sarah and her daughter.

Jenn - I think you need to worry about getting healthy and then start. Hope you feel better soon.

Mamaeli - make sure you are getting enough legumes and aim for 4 1/2 cups of veggies a day. The carbs/fiber can help keep you from getting constipated. I also needed Metamucil several times a day on phase 1 and still use it with breakfast. Your son sounds so cute! I've got the scale in our bathroom so no one has see me weight.

Everyone else - I've definitely got to get back to work but Hi to you all!

Me - I'm down two pounds this morning. It seems like every weekend I bounce up a bunch and then spend the week losing. I am really going to have to work on my water on the weekends. I also tend not to eat my snacks then either and that may be part of the problem. I've got leftover 4 Bean salad for lunch with Ham, Zucchini, Asparagus pasta so I'm really looking forward to it. That is one of our favorite meals.

SoCalBirdLady 05-18-2005 11:23 AM

Rushing off to work, unfortunately, would like to comment more to everyone but no time.

PHinsUP-What a horrible, tragic thing to have happen. I hope things aren't as bad as they seem now for Tiffany. We never know what will happen in this life and each day is truly precious.

Sarah and Sammi - Adding to the thoughts and prayers for you too.

Jenn - Welcome back and take it easy!

anchorweight - I am intrigued by the leek cleansing diet and am thinking about getting the book.

The pound I gained in WW has come off. I did pretty well yesterday except I went to a luncheon where they already had the dessert sitting by the plate when we sat down! I thought I could handle it but I guess I should just have asked them to take it away. I did leave the bread alone and had my coffee black.

See you later. Off to the office.

mama.dragon 05-18-2005 12:02 PM

Tiffany and Sarah's baby girl will be in my prayers.

Vent coming: I'm up 1 pound and I'm constipated. I've been drinking my water and eating veggies plus taking fiber. End vent.

Okay, sunny day and getting hot. I'll be going shopping in a little bit so my next stop is the reciepe thread.

Good Morning Ladies!

Let me start out by saying that I will be praying for Sarah and her daughter as well as Tiffany. :(

I do have some happy news though. Yesterday, my sister was induced for her second baby. We all waited at the hospital for little Colton Gene to be born. After 5 hours of labor, it was time to push. She pushed for about 15 minutes while we all listened at the door. Then came the time where the baby was here and we couldn't believe what we heard next.......IT'S A GIRL! Both the doctor and a radiologist had said it was a boy. You can imagine our surprise! We've spent months putting together the dinosaur room and buying boy clothes. :dizzy: This just means I get to go shopping!!!! WOOHOO! Little Rylee Jean was born as perfect as can be. She received a 9.9 on the APGAR scale. She came out crying but hasn't made a peep since then. She's very quiet and is absolutely gorgeous! I'll attach a pic. I'm so excited to have a niece! My sister is doing well other than the fact that she may have some type of bladder infection. If all goes well today, she gets to go home this evening. Then it will be onto turning the dinosaur room into a ladybug room. The room has a lot of blue and red in it and could easily be turned into ladybug's. I can't wait!

I've been interrupted several time since I started typing this so I better go....but I'll try to get back in later!

jenne1017 05-18-2005 01:40 PM

ADORABLE CJ!!! Congrats to you and your sis (who I guess did most of the work!)

beach bum 05-18-2005 02:52 PM

How precious, a new born baby,Gods gift to mankind

Congrats :balloons: to your new Baby Girl,:balloons: AUNTIE CJ Glad to hear everything went fine. What do Doctors Know ???? Saying its going to be a boy. That way my DD didn't want to know what sex the baby was, just for that reason.

Hugs :) BB

2BFIT1 05-18-2005 03:03 PM

CJ, congrats on having a new baby niece!!! She is absolutely adorable!!!!

Ruthxxx 05-18-2005 03:11 PM

What a sweetie! Maybe she was giving them the finger during the ultrasound!

Bamiegurl 05-18-2005 04:18 PM

CJ.....How sweet!!!!!!!!!! She is beautiful! How exciting! That is so cool that it is a girl! Have fun changin the room! Love the name Rylee!

Lunch was good and I stayed OP no prob! Took DD to the mall lookin for Aussie clothes and it was so hot in there! Had to cut the trip short my knee started hurtin and I was not goin to push it. I liked not made it up the steps when I got home due to the swellin. I'm headin to the couch with an ice pack! Maybe a pain pill as well! lol

anchor weight 05-18-2005 04:33 PM

CJ - What a darling baby! Congrats! Gives me baby fever though. Thank God I'm not married anymore!

SoCal - I believe the leeks gave me a jump start but I'll be honest - it wasn't easy! If you do it give the leek broth a shot of salt & pepper. It tasted way better! The book has great recipes which I think makes it worth buying and some insight on portion control and how to cut back but basically you don't need the book to do the leekfest - just boil 2 pounds of leeks - white part only with just a hint of pale green. Chop the leeks up and boil for 30 minutes. Save the cooked leeks (because it is the only thing you can eat) and drain off the liquid into another container. Drink the leek liquid every 2-3 hours 1 cup at a time and eat the leeks at each meal 1/2 cup at a time. You may have more leeks if you get hungry. Drizzle the leeks sparingly with olive oil, lemon juice and lightly salt & pepper. For dinner the 2nd night have 4 - 6 ounces of fish and two steamed veggies (1/2 cup each). After that I jumped back on the SBD. I may however do the leekfest every month like she recommends. It certainly does refocus your brain. I was grateful for every morsel I ate today.

Guys I'm so stressed out. DM is away at golf camp and we have a deadline with the state next week. My assistant is having day care issues and one of my teachers must be screwed up on her meds. DS is complaining that he doesn't like his new school and everyone is mean to him. (which amazingly only comes up when he is being punished) Whenever I go and pick him up he's running, jumping and playing football with the other kids. But I feel like a big meanie when I say - buck up little guy. Last night I had to take a muscle relaxer just to go to sleep. Sometimes my head feels like it is going to explode. Maybe exercise will help.

Have a good night chicks!

The best workouts I have come after crappy days at the office when just about everyone under the sun has gotten on my nerves.

Then when I go home, I'm much calmer and I sleep a lot better. Honest!

beachgal 05-18-2005 05:06 PM

Wow...so much happening!!!

Phins, Tiffany and her family will definitely be in my prayers. I'm sure you and DD will need to spend some time together dealing with this. It's so hard to have to try to explain something to your child that you don't fully understand yourself. :( I hope things work out much better in the end then they seem right now.

CJ, your niece is SO precious!!! Was she born at Los Robles? I went to CLU and taught in T.O....my parents live in Simi. In fact, my friend Ange's preemie, Ethan, (the one I posted pictures of last fall) was in the NICU at Los Robles, so I know that nametag well. ;) Congratulations!!!

Amy, exercise would help a lot, I bet!!! I hope things work out and soon. (I think French women aren't fat because they have no stress...just things like, "Chanel or Prada?" to worry about. ;) )

angelshine90 05-18-2005 05:19 PM

Good Evening everyone! well day 4 was good....basically due to the fact that I have all these wonderful recipes ..:) i just finished my "pancakes" and Um they are SOOO good! yes i ate them for dinner..because frankly i am sick and tired of meat and salad....

There is not too too much about me....I am 144 my highest weight is 149...and basically I went on SB to drop down to my pre college weight....which was 130....I love to run when the feeling is right..i get into these excercise kicks..and do really well..but latley since the semester ended and summer started I just dont feel like running after work...but next week I am going to make myself go to the gym and run for 30 min....its gonna be hard but i really want to reach my goal weight.....
I dont know if anyone else has this problem...but i eat WAY TOO many Peanutts..way way way too many...but i AM losing...so i guess thats good...i will try to ease up...I eat a lot of snacks...like celery and laughing cow cheese (my new fav)
alright well thanks again for the cheery welcome!...i look forwards to getting to know all of you :)

~chelsea

beachgal 05-18-2005 05:29 PM

Chelsea, have you checked out the "Best Veggies" thread? You definitely do not have to have salad every day...it's very easy to get sick of it...but you do need tons of veggies!!! Pancakes for dinner is great, but include your veggies in there, okay?

The peanuts will kill you, girl! Measure them out and put them in little containers (like the gladware snack cups) or baggies, then only allow yourself one. Okay? 20 peanuts a day. You can do it!!! :D Look at how far you've come!

Exercise is great and really helps your weightloss and toning what you have left. :D

Bamiegurl 05-18-2005 05:46 PM

Anchor...Hang in there girl! I'd lend ya a hand if I were close enough! lol DS will be fine! Besides school is almost out so I know he will make it.

kissyjoy 05-18-2005 06:51 PM

Thank you for the nice wishes everyone!

Ruth - that's exactly what we all said yesterday! She told them what she thought of their ultrasound. Maybe she was having a bad hair day and didn't want to be photographed!

Laurie - yep, she was born at Los Robles Hospital! My sister lives in Thousand Oaks but we grew up in Newbury Park. I do remember the story about the sweet little baby. How is Ethan doing?

Anchor - No baby fever for you!!!! Only fun with your cuties!!!!

I'm hoping that I'll have a chance to get up to their house and decorate a little before they get home with Rylee. They're still not sure if they are going to let them go home today or not. They want to make sure my sister's bladder infection isn't really bad.

Thanks again for your nice thoughts. I appreciate them! :)

Hello everyone...sorry I have been MIA for a while. My computer got a virus...blue screen of death - my desktop was blue & it just started erasing everything...couldn't get online - it was awful!!! Thank goodness my friend Vinny is a member of Best Buy's geek squad!! He fixed it for me =) Love him!!
I have been pretty good. No weight loss, but I did get into a pair of jeans that I couldn't get into, so that was wonderful!!
I hope everyone is having a great day!

I spoke with the principal of the high school this evening at the gym, and he said that he had just talked with Tiffany's dad, and that she was going to be fine!
she doesn't have any broken bones thank God! That's a relief!
My DD said that everyone she talked to today had a different story about what really happened....So I'm not sure, even the principal said he's not really sure what exactly happened, he thinks she got squished between her truck and a parked car so she wasn't run over. But Still!!!
You all are incredible with your prayers and thoughts...Thanks a Million!

I wasn't able to do all the machines at the gym this evening, my elbow is starting to hurt again. a few years ago, I had tennis elbow, had cortizone shots in it and swore next time I would just live with the pain! the shots were horrible!! I'm hoping that resting the arms for a little while will help.
But I did get a good workout, and came home and fixed an incredible supper.
we had Turkey meatloaf (SBD recipe) and some whole wheat pasta with veggies on it. delicious!

I know I'm gonna put a star by that recipe!!!

Well, I'm gonna call it a night,
again thanks for your prayers
Love you guys!!

Then again maybe it was but the precious and gracious hand of God reached down and touched her and it seemed it was not as bad! Whatever I thank Him for His goodness and mercy on her!
