FM, you really do need to watch the portions even though, yes, we are supposed to eat until we are full. Those dinners are full of lots of things that aren't allowed on the plan (check out the Kraft and SBD thread for more) and honestly, I wouldn't risk my Phase 1 success on them. I bet Dr. A allowed them partially because so many people say they don't have the time to cook, but also because bad stuff in tiny amounts can't hurt you too badly (I don't really agree, but...). Still, if the latter is true, your doubling the serving size is subjecting yourself to more of that bad stuff which could stall your success.
Bottom line...stay away from the dinners in Phase 1 if you can, and supplement the dinners with lots of fresh veggies (not just salads!!!) to appease your hunger. Add in beans, too...their protein fills you up, their good carbs make detox easier, and their fiber keeps you away from the constipation problems you can have in Phase 1. They really are Phase 1 miracle food.
Check out the recipe forum and the Best Veggies thread for more ideas on ways to include veggies. I'd make a 3 bean salad tonight if I were you...very easy to snack on and helps with a sweet tooth!
The fact that you are worried about cheating tells me that you want to do this right. That's the spirit that will help you find success!
