Good morning everyone. It is a nice day here...won't be any where near the 80s, but for us, it is nice. Sun is shining, a bit of frost on the grass and a nip in the air. Spring is here. At least it isn't snowing - yet. We should still get one last dump before the good temps actually arrive. We're waiting.
Lady - Thanks for the inspiration this morning. Do take care and remain focused when you are tempted today, and everyday.
Jamie - I know what you mean about the cheese stash. I have the same - one at work, one in my purse, one in the bedroom
I couldn't get through those temptations without being allowed to snack on something that I enjoy, too. I guess that's where your mind plays with deprivation. As long as I can have something (besides carrot sticks
), I seem to get over the feelings that everyone else is enjoying something and I am deprived because I am watching my weight.
Ruth - Have a fun day at the Greenhouse...are there really cabana boys there?
Bamiegurl - Sounds like a fun day puttering. It seems that when I take a day to putter, I get too much puttering done and nothing constructive. They are the fun days, though.
butterflykisses - Enjoy your 'me' day. I have needed one for a very long time, but can't fit one in just yet. I am hoping that, when I am off sick next week that I will take a few of those days and hope that everyone leaves me alone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
HottieInHiding - Do go see a dr. about the eye. DH did a similar thing recently and ended up with an abscess on his eyeball. He actually went to emergency at the hospital and they misdiagnosed the problem, but I insisted that he go to our ophthmologist who ended up sending him to another specialist. Take care of your eyes.
MallynAllysmom - I envy the 80 degrees. We will be lucky to be over 50 today, but even that feels good here.
Have a good day at work.
Tara - I went and read the info about the ab lounger and a lot of the reviews. One fitness trainer was advising that it does give a good workout, but wouldn't recommend it for everyone. The main caution when using it is to make sure that you don't hyperextend at either end of the movement. Other than that, the trainer said that it has positives, too. For people who have joint and back problems, where getting down to the floor is a problem, it is a good solution and gives the same workout. Better reviews than many of the other gadgets out there.
beach bum - Hope you are feeling better soon. This has gone on for quite a while. Congrats on the weight loss. Take even the single pounds, they all count towards the final goal.
Sunnybunny - You have already done an amazing job with the weight loss. Keep it up. I think you are right. I find that, when I don't eat enough veggies, it seems to stall my weight loss, regardles of whether I am OP, or not. Keep up the exercise, too. That will also help.
Me - Not too much here. DH's twin brother came into town last night, so we went out for dinner with him and his wife. However, I did have all day to plan what I would eat. I decided that last night would be a treat night, within reason. I had potatoes (which I rarely eat), lots of veggies, fish, chicken and goulash. Add the dessert to that, and I would say that I pretty much made the most of my treat evening. Today it is back to the beach and exercise.
Tomorrow, I have to go to the hospital to a pre-admission clinic. Hopefully that won't take too long and that it won't ruin the entire day. Will let you know more later.
Hope everyone has a great day on the beach. Take care.
