Ruth - I know! 50 posts! I think I got my reading in for the day.
Well I forgot to take the camera home last night. I'll have to get that pic up on Monday.
Today is the last day of this week of 4 am wake up calls! WOO HOO!
Tomorrow we are having a local auction in Hornell to clean out my warehouse, Spring Cleaning to the 10th power. Everyone is meeting at 6 am for breakfast at Friendly's, but Bry and I are skipping out and going in around 9 (show starts at 10:30) to sleep in and SKIP the evil breakfast food.
Sunday plans are to sleep in and get the trim in the kitchen done. I also found a couple of prints out of 1970's Hallmark flower calendar that will compliment the style so well. They will got up this Sunday too, but I'm going to be relaxing. We worked too darn hard this week to work the entire weekend.
Had a very busy day yesterday, though it seems I got nothing done except putting money in the drawer.....hmmm, good or bad?
Well Ladies, I'll hear from you for the day and then it's goodbye until Monday!
Shelby just got her friday bone and is tossing it about.....I think that's TGIF in Doggie Language.
Sarah- you are a saint for passing up Friendly's. I have been to one since I was 10 years old, and I still remember how great it was! Luckily, we don't have those in St. Louis.
I am so happy it is Friday, this has been a long week at school. My voice is still not completely back but I am teaching something easy and fun today... how to make circle graphs.
My shih tzu pup, Louise (6 months next week), is so depressed that I am leaving for work. She is finally getting used to going into her house though. I will put up pictures when I get a new one scanned.
Good morning again. The wheels of my so-called Life are in motion so I'm back for a bit! I watched a bit of the Pope's funeral while I had my coffee - very impressive, particularly as we've been in the Square.
Jamie, I'm glad your voice is coming back. One thing you might try with your furry baby is to give her a Kong with some peanut butter in it. That will keep her amused for ages as she tries to get it out. Sometimes our pets are bored because they have nothing to do.
Adia/Sarah, good work at skipping breakfast out. It's really hard to find a SBD-friendly breakfast. You are starting to guilt me into painting the trim around my kitchen windows which were installed last spring!
The sun is shining today which really lifts my spirits. I am going to get out the cushions for the deck chairs so I can sit outside for mid-morning coffee. It's way too wet to clean up the gardens, I'm afraid, but it is pleasant to be out there. I also need to complete the wet cardboard task this morning and get all that crud out of my basement before mould and mildew take over! I see a Saturday dump run in my future. Making dog food is on my today list too - Lucy really hates store-bought!
TGIF, Chickies! It's been a rough week for some of us.
Ruth, what are you up to today? Do soggy boxes come into it?
Sarah, congratulations on skipping "the evil breakfast"!
Have a great weekend, hon!
Jamie, we'd love to see pictures of Louise! I'm sure your voice will back by Monday.
Bamie, I'm so glad your mom is home! You remember to take good care of yourself, too, sweetie! Continued love and hugs and prayers for you and your family...
Oh... there you are, Ruth! I wish I was there to help you with the boxes, sweetie...
BTW, Laurie, lacrosse is our national summer sport. Hockey is our winter sport. Lacrosse is so cool.
Aimee, good luck with the job, hon! I'm glad your interview went well... keep us posted!!
I'm going to clear out the back hall so I can open the door to the backyard. It's a frickin' nightmare back there! There must be about 80 pair of shoes/boots on the floor.
Sarah~~ Your Shelby is so cute!!! She does look like she has some Setter in her. Have a great weekend, girl
Ruth~~Relax and enjoy your coffee on your deck this morning~ You deserve a few relaxing moments after this past week. Hope your day goes well.
Jamie~~I hope you get your voice back soon. Dogs learn our routeins quickly and they know when we are getting ready to leave them. When both my DH and I will be gone for the day, they know they will be put in the laundry room . Shelby will go down the stairs to the laundry room and get right into her bed and wait. On the other hand, Kasey always tries to hide !!!
Ruth - Make it a good color! Get on that trim! What's in your dog food?
Jamie - It is still very good there, but breakfast isn't all that hard to pass up at Friendly's. Not when sleep can be subsituted! However, their ice cream....now that's a different story! Speaking of ice creams....throats! I'm glad yours is getting better. Can't wait to see Louise. Shelby has routines down after 2 days! One more perk of working for me, she can come to work. The downside is when she has to pee and I have a customer! I agree with Ruth on the peanut butter. Shelby is veggie freak (don't ask), but she loves peanut butter even more. Once she's chewed the good stuff out of her bones I fill them with natural peanut butter. The natural is even tougher to get out!
Ellis - I wouldn't doubt the number of shoes. One of my clients just brought me 75 pair last week! GOOD LUCK
Sil - Feel better chica! With toilet paper I hope you're using Charmin or something squishy like that. Anything but Scott, OUCH!
Sil, feel better, that sucks being sick...myself and my two kids had it for over a good two weeks, just didn't seem to want to let go...ugh, awful...feel better!!
Well, did my official Friday weigh in this morning and I'm down 7 pounds!!! yeeehawwww good way to start out the weekend, give me that extra incentive not to touch anything 'untouchable'!
You gals are so ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Makes me all warm and fuzzy LOL.
OH my. I have GOT to quit getting on the scale every morning! It's like I expect GO GO GADGET weight loss! My home scale says 130, but I put it at 132 cause my scale NEVER seems to be the same as the old doctor's. Yesterday morning it said 129, but I figured that was a fluke. It was
I'm in phase 1, day 4. Maybe I shouldn't be eating the sugar free candy, eh?
Can you have salad dressing on this diet?
I haven't gotten around to reading the book yet (I work two jobs and have 2 kids under the age of 4!)
I've been eating salad stuff, cucumbers, tomatoes, chicken, lots of horseradish (lol) and some low fat deli meat. I still drink cokes, but only diet and usually diet rite. I've incorporated more water (but I still HATE water). My treadmill is broken, so I'm not exercising much (although I walk on the greenway whenever it is NOT raining (5 out of 8 days in April...rain!)
I am so glad it is Friday...I just want to sleep all day tomorrow, it has been such a busy week and I am exhausted. It is kind of dreary here today but it is a good dreary I keep seeing the beautiful stroke of green on the mountainside and feel so fortunate to be able to see God's great miracle of spring.
It is so beautiful here in WV, the mountains and the rivers and streams and trees and flowers are all coming alive with color and splendor. Spring and Fall are my favorite times of year. Spring especially, with all the hope of newness and rebirth. You can hear the frogs chirping and the robins and cardinals sing their new songs. You can watch bluebirds swoop down with their powerful attitude and mischief! Everyday brings new things to see and smell and hear.
Cool spring breezes and the warmth of the sun. The anticipation of summers hot blanket and lazy days by the river or in a backyard picnic becon.
Enjoy your day girls and I hope I have given you a wonderful picture of Spring!
