I am back for a few seconds then I need to rest my head I have a terrible headache which I think is due to the fact that I had no tea this morning. All went well at the dentist. NO CAVITIES, two years in a row for the youngest dd, the oldest has a few spots that need to be fixed, but the charge you for a regular cavity, I guess that is why they live in fancy houses, Well I think I will go lay for a minute while the two little ones are watching their movie before we head to the bus stop.

Hey ladies... I have totally kept myself away from the easter chocolate. I'm just going to have to have alot of willpower this weekend when all of the family is over. School is strssing me out! ANd, it's horrible caue it just makes me want to eat everything. But yeasterday I was doing my field work at the elemtary, and one child ( I have a pre-K class) came and pulled my shirt up a little and another child said "she has a fat tummy" OH MY GOSH! I felt horrible. So I think that will give me the will power not to cheat this weekend. I know they are just children, and they tell whats on their mind...but sometimes they can say some hurtful things.
Anyways... I am about to go meet my best friend for lunch... I think I'm gonna have a grilled chicken salad... Then back to clean up the apartment! No work today! And no class tomorrow! Well everyone have a great day... a great OP day. I sure will! |
Morning, Ellis! Darn bags of chocolates! At least they're gone now...right? :mag: Enjoy the soup...sounds good! Good luck at your WI tonight! :goodscales:
LC, sounds like a busy morning...hope it calms down some! Ruth, you are always going, going, going! Hope that things wind down a bit this afternoon so you can get in a cuddle with the pups by the woodstove! Love the image of hundreds of wine bottles sitting by your curb. "Hard week, Ruthie?" ;) Yup, Cottage, sugar *is* evil! :nono: Toss the extra candy, pour salt on it, or give it away, but get it out of your house! :grouphug: If it's out of the house, I can stay away but bring it in and it's a constant temptation. :T Barb, so glad you have tomorrow off. Sounds like it'll be a fun day if you can keep all the candy in the egs and not in your mouth...I'd be so tempted! :ziplip: Here's lots of willpower coming your way :goodvibes: Anchor, have a great time on your trip! Lots of prayers for your DS! :goodvibes: Hunny, glad you had a good breakfast! :D Sweet Tooth, I love that you are leaving little suprises in people's boxes at work...how fun! What a nice thing to do at this time of year...seems like there is so little to look forward to in the middle of bleak midwinter! What is your surgery for again? I've been so out of it, I don't think I heard. But I will definitely keep you in my prayers, sweet Peggy! :grouphug: Soon, enjoy your weekend off...it sounds decadent and wonderful! What will you do? Bamie, have fun in TN! DH and I went to visit SIL in TN for Easter four years ago. It was a blast...so nice. :) I loved seeing all the dogwoods. Me: I'm still sick, but I'm plugging away on the paper. The snow menlted on the roads and has fallen off most of the trees, but it's still out there. Poor daffodils! :( More church tonight...and then a funky ragout with chicken sausage (I checked and the saturated fat was super low...3g) for dinner. Had these amazing Roast Beef with Blue cheese wraps last night for dinner with coleslaw...have them again today for lunch. Both were recipes from Cooking Light. I love that magazine! Not too much else going on. You know...I forgot to weigh this morning. That's odd! Some days are just like that, I guess! :dunno: Have a great day, chickies!!! :sunny:  <--a girl can hope, right? |
Hi there!
You'll all be happy to know that it is cold, windy and is going to rain here. :p I know that some of you have put a cold spell on us warmer chickies! I went to the mall last night to get something to wear with my suit at the wedding this weekend. I also ended up getting my top for my April 17th wedding. Oh boy is that gonna be exciting! The theme is 50's meets the kittycat Dolls....with a little mixture of Deadwood in it. It's one of my semi-celebrity weddings (the groom is in a rock band). Anyway, my mother (who is also my partner in the wedding biz) picked out these corsets with little pink flowers on them. I never thought I would EVER be wearing lingerie out in public!!! :o It actually looked really good (and keeps things covered). I guess the combination of diet and all the Tae Bo I do is finally paying off! :D We'll see how it fits after my week of rum drinks and margaritas though! We went to dinner at a restaurant in the mall (Red Robin). The place is famous for their burgers and I can't tell you how much I wanted one of their Blue Ribbon Burgers with the huge steak fries that come with it! MMMMM...now I'm getting really hungry! I ordered the Ensenada Chicken Platter instead which came with 2 chicken breasts rubbed in spices and charbroiled. A salad came on the side. It was good but I still would've loved to have a big 'ol juicy cheeseburger! :burger: I'm off to have my snack (celery and PB) and then off to get some last minute details done for the wedding. The rehearsal is tomorrow evening and I still feel like I have 10,000 things to do! :dizzy: I hope you all have a great day! Try to stay away from that darn Easter candy (oh how I LOVE Peeps!)! |
The reason I haven't gotten into the Easter candy is that I haven't bought any yet. ;) Brian is going on a hike/Easter hunt on Saturday but he doesn't want to hunt because he already has candy left from Valentines, Halloween, and even Easter from last year. He's going to carry his friend's basket for him since his friend, Taylor, has a broken arm. Brian just doesn't think about candy - he's been eating SF pudding with fruit mixed in for his snacks for awhile.
I'm thinking that maybe I should get him a beanie baby for his basket instead of getting candy since he cares more for stuffed animals (he sleeps with 8 usually). It just seems like I should put something more in there. He doesn't believe in the Easter bunny (or tooth fairy or Santa) so he'll know it is from me. |
Hey Barb just a suggestion...How about movie cards and stuff like that. As the kids started getting older I would get them movie tix or gift cert. for the movie store. Just an idea. How sweet of him to help his friend!
Kissjoy...A wedding planner must be such an exciting job! If you ever decide to move somewhere else come to Al. and I will volunteer to help you! lol Laurie...How's the paper? The daffy's will be up and bloomin in no time. I see the leaves for tulips but no flowers yet! I'm off to take DD to a Spring Break soccer party. Two sisters need a ride as well. They live on a long gravel muddy potholed road so I said no problem but you will have to meet me at the road. I don't want to get my car all muddy! I have went down it before and that is how I know. My van looked like i had been 4 wheelin or summin! lol |
Ellis - thank you! Kathleen Turner. It has been driving me bonkers since this morning.
The lady who owns the beauty shop next door gave me a business card for a guy who is interested in meeting me. He's 40, single, no kids, doesn't smoke. He wants to meet me for lunch. Why am I afraid? I'm just petrified to call him. And I don't know why. She said he was good looking, salt & pepper hair, owns his own business. I went over to her shop to tan this afternoon and I've been in a daze since then. Any advice? |
Gurl you better get on the love line!!!!!!!!!! What reason do you have not to call him? Hello! Just take it ssslllllloooooowwww! teehee What would it hurt to go to lunch? I mean ya gotta eat right? If he's a dog then atleast it's only lunch and if he's a hottie maybe hang a round for dinner! hahahahahaha Just kiddin! I say you should atleast call him cause there is no harm in that! Just me 2 cents! lol
|
Bami - You so funny! I have to work up the nerve to call. There is one problem. This guy shares the same name as BOTH of my x husbands. I swore I would never date another guy with that name because it has cooties. But it was a popular name 40 years ago for boys. I dunno - I wish I would have read all of my horror scopes this morning. I've been deleting them lately without reading them. Oh well.
|
Anchor-you go girl! Jeez, you get all the guys! :D
Bamie-You're welcome to come out here and help.....in May I have a wedding with 416 people coming to it so I'm gonna need all the help I can get! I'm going home for the evening....more exercise and maybe another tan (I'm just about out of lotion though :( ) Spaghetti squash with pasta sauce on it for me tonight! Have a great night everyone! |
Oh Anchor that stinks! Maybe he has a middle name that you caould call him by instead. I could not imagine 2 havin the same! But hey you know what they say...3rd times a charm! lol Thank goodness mine have not even been close on name! But I have come close on calling the wrong name! Hey it may not be a bad thing them all havin the same name! No slip ups! lol
Kissjoy...I'll drive over ya think I could be back in time for dinner? lol Ok I'm off to bed. I got most of my stuff done but not all! UGH at myself! I'm headin to bed so I can hopefully get up early to get the rest done. |
Anchor the 3 rd time is the charm. Besides if you like him & hate the name, you can always call him by a pet name :D What is the worst that can happen? I say go for it!!!!
Bami, my boss is an idiot - plain and simple. I really don't know how she functions. I chatted with my boss's boss & she is on my side ( as much as she can be - office politics.) I think my boss was at the right place at the right time when they were hiring people for this postion & I found out she makes $10,000 more than me -ugh! Well I'm getting my happy butt to bed - see ya tomorrow! |
