They are daffodils. Buttercups is kid of a nickname for them I guess you could say. Maybe because they are yellow like butter and have the lil cup in the middle. You know us southerners always tryin to be different! lol The ones in the boquet are double daffodils and are so pretty. The lady that lived here before planted them everywhere! I love it! New stuff poppin up all the time!

I love all the little flowers that show up in the spring...hellebores and scilla and violets, white and pink lily of the valley...lilacs...I am SO ready for spring, I tell ya! :D :crossed:

Well, my snowdrops came into bloom this afternoon and the turkey vultures are back!
|
Hey, you have turkey vultures, too, Ruth? :D I love those guys! We have them roosting in a small grove of trees two blocks from our house. They are amazing birds!
No snowdrops here, I don't think...I should take a walk and see if they are popping up on the corner... :mag: |
OMG, Laurie! You LOVE turkey vultures? Have you ever been near their roost? They do projectile vomiting at each other and it's gross! Think of what they eat! Twenty years ago there were none around here but they've moved up from NY state! Want them back?
