I'm a Beach Newbie

Hello Everyone!!

Today is day one of my South Beach diet experience! So far so good... We'll see how my sweet tooth does later :) I'm very excited, and I can not wait to start shedding the pounds. I know several people who have had nothing but great success w/ S.B., I am hoping the same will happen for me.

Some of the people I know only did Phase 1 for one week. Is this advisable? What do you guys reccomend? At this point I am doing the full two weeks, I WANT my new car!! :D

Welcome to the Beach! I would recommend doing the full two weeks. It helps you not only get rid of the cravings but get used to the food. Make sure you have checked out the updated food lists in the Frequently Asked Question section.

Welcome to the Beach, MustangGrl!
Yes, I agree with Barb... you should do the two weeks to really detox from sugar.
Good luck! :lucky:

I'm a Newbie too

I just located this website as well, so I'm a newbie to 3Chicks.

I have just finished my 1st Phase of SB. I went on this diet due to doctor's "suggestion", and it was just the kick in the butt I needed.

While I was dissapointed with my weight loss the 1st two weeks, 71/2, I have to continue to focus on the fact that SB is for my heart health and weight-loss is secondary.

The amazing thing for me the 1st two weeks ws that I was NEVER hungry! so many other diets I'm focused on the next time I can eat, not with this one. I look forward to discussions about this diet and our struggles along the way. Thanks for letting me post.

Hey Paula welcome aboard! 7.5 lbs is really good. It is about the average. Some do have that big loss but not most. Congrats!

Thanks for the support!

I already know I've made the right decision with the diet, now a better decision, joining this website.
