Morning Ellis I have a cup of tea on the go. It is not a nice day here very overcast waiting for the rain to start. I will be right back I am looking for a good childrens song which is funky any of you chicks know of any..... be right back kids at the door.

I just made a large mug of tea, I'll have my coffee after I get back from Curves. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here, and it stayed balmy into the evening, but today winter has us in it's grips again, and we're getting snow later, blah.

Ellis ~ you are up bright and early today, Good Morning! How are those cabinets looking?

I just put a load of laundry in the washer, and I should run the vacuum and mop the kitchen and dining room floors today. Other than that I don't have any major plans. I still haven't gotten around to making sticky buns for my neighbor, I should get them made before he thinks I forgot about it. Well, I'd better fix my hair and start warming up the car, I'll catch up with you all later.

Hi, Little Chick. My oldest GD and I were just talking about the songs she used to listen to that would drive me nuts, like Animaniacs and most of the VeggieTale songs!

No no no... I cannot BELIEVE IT!! It's freakin' -25C (-13F) out there with the windchill! :yikes: I thought we were supposed to get freezing rain! Oh, fer craps sakes. This is too much. Snow. Snow expected on Thursday and Friday. And going down to -31C. This isn't right. :mad:

Quick drive by for me. I have already had my shower. I am goin with my MIL to her churches childrens home today to take some things for the children and their thrift store. It's one thing to get up at 6 but to be up and showered and gettin ready to head out the door is another thing all together! lol

The Girls woke me at 4 - terrorists again! - so I gave them breakfast and then drifted back to sleep on the couch for a while. I did pop in to FAQ around 5 something to answer a question but then the rest of the day started and I just got back here now.

Ellis and Cottage, it's definitely a winter day out there and no improvement is in sight! It's a day for socks with the Birkies and sticky bun making, you two.

Little Chick, I see on the news that you have rain. Enough already! I can't think of a single kid song except "Doggie in the WIndow" and that was sung by an adult, I think.

I went to make a fruit salad and discovered three kiwi had gone missing. Sure enough, Lucy had taken them and they were "buried" under the chair cushions! She is a nutcase dog. As Gail says, "No offense, Ruth, but she is not a normal dog." I wonder where I went wrong. :lol:

The knee is feeling much better since I started the new meds but the weight has not budged an ounce! Yes, chickies, I have been drinking water and eating veggies. I hope the Whoosh Fairy finds her way here soon. :(

If the driving and walking is not too grim, I will take Harry to the Library this afternoon. Other than that, it'll be the usual putzing around kind of day. I haven't a clue what to cook for dinner so that'll be my big decision today.

Freezing weather here too! We were supposed to get rain but that didn't happen. Too cold! I have to weigh in tomorrow so I hope the whoosh fairy visits me too! I've been very good on my phase I redo! But the loss of only two pounds last week bothered me. We know that I'm a scale nut :dizzy: .

Ruth - She's probably hiding those kiwi's just in case you try to feed her "store" bought dog food. :lol:

Ellis - I'm with ya on the weather! I'm going to crack like a nut if it doesn't improve soon. I told DM that I've been a little depressed since telling cutie pie that I didn't want to see him anymore. Not sure if it is him or the weather. Must be the weather. :lol:

Its raining:rain: and the dampness is just hurting :stars: my old bones. But I'm going to aim for my 90 mins of exercising:barbell: this afternoon & evening anyway.

Well I lost a total of 2.5 :hat: lbs. this week due to the adding more carbs to my meals & adding more excercising :strong: minutes, really paid off.

Morning, gals! I realized I never did post in the daily yesterday. Just too busy at work, I guess. I did make it to Pain in the Butt class yesterday. I HATE that class but love what it does for me. Today is Pilates which is a lot more fun. Now, if I can just get out of work early enough to be there and changed into workout clothes by 5. I'm going to try. Most Tuesdays I am at cub scouts.

A coworker brought in Girl Scout cookies yesterday. TOM visited. I was bad :( but the scale dropped this morning. Oh, well, today is a new day and I know I can do better.

little chick - My son loves songs. But most are now cub scout songs. How old are the little ones?

Just cruising by. The laundry's almost done and the house is looking decent again. It's a good day for staying in. Sirens are going off outside and the salt trucks have just been by. It's still raining but we're expecting the change-over to snow any time now. I think supper tonight will be grilled chicken and sauteed cabbage, with a starch for Jake. MAYBE I'll have a sweet potato if I eat lightly for lunch. Gotta go ~ Jake just came home!

I'm partial to Baby Beluga, myself. ;) I also love all the songs from the Veggietales movies, especially the Silly Songs with Larry parts...like "Oh Where is my Hairbrush?" Ellis, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves Bob and Larry! I'm partial to Junior Asparagus myself. :love: DH loves Mr. Lunt with his gold tooth. :lol: We were the only adults that actually watched the Easter VeggieTales movie at our church last year. We sat on the floor with the kids, started a food fight, and ate pizza. It was a blast! :D

Cottage, I'm with you...it was so nice yesterday, but today is very cold and yucky. :P

Well, the stress of this 30 page paper is driving me over the edge. Oy! :rolleyes: Otherwise most else is fine. I'm really battling with my need to emotionally eat from the stress of this paper. I had a muffin last night after my dessert. :p I'm at 218.5 or so...it is TOM, but still. :p I hope the whoosh fairy finds her way here if I can just keep myself on the straight and narrow!

Morning!

DH took DD to preschool this morning so my mom and I can finish her bedroom. I got up with them for a bit and then promptly crawled back into bed until 9:00- it felt marvelous! My parents should be here any minute to help me paint furniture and pull stuff back into her room. Our living room currently looks like a Toys R Us tornado!

This afternoon I am getting a much needed haircut and highlight. I cannot wait!! It has been forever and I think will perk me up a bit for this last trimester of pregnancy. :)

Barb I am 25 weeks, but took your advice and just changed my signature to reflect my due date. I don't post enough to keep changing it weekly. :) Your Pilates class sounds great.

Laurie Hope that your paper is coming along. I hear you on emotional eating- that is my biggest problem!!

LC Let me ponder songs today- DD loves to sing, but I don't know that any of them are "kid-funky."

Hi Gals, at work feeling strange went to my class last night and it always gets me raring to go anyway, DP and dd are sick...DD is manageable. DP on the other hand. He's freaked out about Docs. He's a cancer survivor so I can understand but he needs to go!!! :mad: I feeling ultra neg today. :( why I don't know. Tommorrow is my WI day. I am hoping for a .5 lb at least...

Geez, sounds like you all have had a full day and I'm just starting here on the left coast...

Gotta ask - do you wash your undies w/ your socks or do you do a separate load? Reason I ask is my friend refuses to wash her socks and her underwear in the same load - it totally cracks me up. She says it's as if you were rubbing your feet in your crotch! Is she nuts or am I???

I'm with you on the left coast thing Chinky! :lol: :lol: :lol: on the socks and underwear thing! I have to say that I mix all of my laundry together. Everything's still in soapy water and getting clean!!!

I had some good dinner last night. I made the Chicken and Eggplant Casserole out of the SB Cookbook. I've never cooked with eggplant before so it was a new experience. I really liked it. It tasted a bit like chicken cacciatore. It was chock full of veggies! Laurie, you'd be so proud of all the veggies I ate yesterday! You're always the one who seems to push them the most! I also had the spicy chicken and black bean soup for lunch and really liked that. Thanks Barb!

Not too much happening around here...just busy busy! The cabinet guy is coming over tonight to get his final measurements. We've decided to go with the custom guy (thanks anyway for the recommendations Sil)! I came home last night and DH had scraped all the cottage cheese off the downstairs ceiling. Half of it is gone on the upstairs (the previous owner did that before). It looks so much better without that stuff on the ceiling. It can't be finished now until after the cabinets get put in so the painter will only have to come once to texture it. So we're pretty much at somewhat of a standstill until the cabinets get done. The only thing we have to do is get the pipes moved up in the kitchen so we can raise the ceiling. I think DH is gonna do that himself (OH NO!). I try to tell him that he's an electrician not a plumber but he just doesn't get it! ;) Oh well!

My phone's been going crazy so I need to get going! Have a great day! :)

Anchor I LOVE YOU kids bop is perfect there are a couple of songs that I think might work. They are kid versions of adult songs. Great beat for dancing but not to old for the kids. They are between 4 and 7.

I wash all my laundry together, I figure the water's hot, there's soap, it should kill any bacteria in there anyway!

Ah, the Camarillo outlets...make sure you go to a store called "Le Gourmet Chef". I love that store! They have everything from dishes to food to all kinds of other things you never see. There's another good store that's right by there...I think it's called "Welcome Home" but I could totally be wrong. There's a clearance area that I always seem to find something at. Other than that I'm not a big shopper there. I guess I've never been too into outlet stores.

Soap is soap...whether it's socks, underwear, jeans or shirts it all gets clean!

It's Girls Day Out at the Outlets. It's more getting together than shopping - though I'm sure we're going to do some damage. I like the Cosmetics Company store and the Gap Outlet. I like looking in the Coach store but only buy when there's a good deal going on.

It's worth shopping there if you get the coupon book from the management office. It's free w/ a AAA or military card. I think you can get coupons for it if you're in their VIP Club online.

Ok I am back! I am tired it was in Talladega which is about 2-2.5 hours from me. Oh and girls I get up at 6 every morning I just don't usually have to be out and about. Although my test Thursday I have to be at the hospital at 5:45! YIKES! Ok DH is home now as well so supper needs to be fixed! yuck! I hate cookin for this crew cause nobody likes anything! haha I'll catch y'all later Chickies!

Actually, this is not the busiest time of year for me. I've got a few weddings coming up but my busiest months this year seem to be July and September. I'm booked through November now (I hate to take December wedding with everything else going on but will if I have to <complain, complain>). I got another 2 weddings today though to add to the pile. :dizzy: I love it but sometimes it's A LOT of work and they're killer on your feet and back!

Time to go home for me! I'm trying the Chicken Mole in the SBD cookbook tonight. I hope it's good but I'll let ya know tomorrow!
