Sherry, I'm so glad you like it here! :grouphug: I think this is the best, most nurturing place on the web to lose weight. :)
Stay strong... you're doing great!! :hat: Amy, you poor dear... kids can be so nasty in the morning. :( Have you thought about getting him up earlier? I did that with my kids... we set the alarm 1/2 an hour earlier, and they're much less stressed (and less crabby!) in the mornings. Florida! Well, that's not right at all! What about the rest of us snow bunnies!? I'm glad you're getting away, hon... you need some time off. :grouphug: I am SO happy to be back in my kitchen! :D If I didn't have so much pain in my neck and shoulders from driving in that snow storm yesterday, I'd be pretty much perfect! (although still fat) I've just taken two Naproxin. You know, we can't get that in Canada... we have to get friends to pick it up for us when they go "down". It's great stuff. Although it doesn't seem to be working today. If I wasn't so darned lazy, I'd do some yoga to stretch things out. I'll be back... ... because I am SO happy!! |
Mornin' ya'll. Eveyone's just clucking away. I had my first weigh in last night for WW. Lost 3.6. Which surprised me since I was off program most of the week.
Hope everyone has a great day. Stay warm and hope those who aren't feeling well, get some rest. It much be the cold to make everyone tired. I am looking forward to nap already today also. |
So many posts already. I always sleep with ear plugs. I can still hear enough if I am needed but it quiets it enough so I can sleep through some things. Brian was actually up 15 minutes before his alarm this morning. It gave him time to eat cereal for breakfast which really thrilled him. I did have to move his bedtime earlier when he started school so he would have time to eat before leaving. Oh, Amy, I sympathize! Brian woke up every night for the first 3 years. It is rough with a baby but so rewarding in the end!
Anchor - I envy you. I miss Florida. I grew up in Tampa and remember how we thought the winters were so cold. I really found out what cold winters were when I spent three of them in Michigan! I'm hoping to make it back home this summer to see my sister in Tampa but we might go to South Carolina instead since my sister who lives there is a lot more fun. |
Chipper, congrats on the weight loss!!!! That is great, so motivating!!!!!
Hi Anchor!!! I'll be back! Sherry |
Oy, rough past couple of weeks. My uncle passed away last week, and I was in the Bay Area for the funeral. For the most part, though, I stuck to plan, and am firmly rooted again, though my apptetite's been on the low side and I never feel like eating until late, late in the day.
I'm glad to see that we're all doing well this morning. Bamie--I hope the heartburn isn't a lingering thing. Amber--I hope you feel better soon and can sneak in some healthy rest! Cheers, all, Julie |
Good morning everyone! It's nasty today, rain, and :rain:more rain. I have to drive in the mess today. But............I got on the scales this morning and they are moving down!!! :lucky:
Have a good day!! |
:( Julie, I'm sorry to hear that your uncle passed away. ((((Hugs))))):grouphug:

Julie, I'm so sorry about your Uncle... :grouphug:
|
:coffee: Good Morning Everyone,
Grn Ize: Congratulations on your weight loss. :bravo: Julie: So sorry to hear about your uncle :grouphug: Chipper & Islander: Congrats on your weight loss too ;) I have had a rough couple of days, not eating properly. Today is a new day, though and I am going to start over again :^: |
Hey All!
I'm sitting here reading posts and totally relating to the one about how you try to be so quiet while DH is sleeping but he doesn't when it comes to you. DH gets up somewhere around 4:00-4:30 in the AM to get a jump on traffic. He says he tries to be quiet...HA! My mom calls him a bull in a china closet. I don't think he realizes he's being so loud. Lately I've been putting a pillow over my head. I think earplugs may be next! I didn't sleep well at all last night. That's the second night in a row. I dragged my tired butt out of bed and got my exercise done but it didn't feel as good as it normally does. Now I have one of those tired headaches going on. :tired: :headache: I need a nap! Wish I could stay in my jammies and robe late like some people do! ;) I didn't get a chance to post yesterday because I was so busy but I feel for all you frozen chicks! It was so nice yesterday here that I had the sunroof open in my car! Today's another story though. It's gray and a bit drizzly with temps somewhere in the 60's. Brrrr...cold  Not much happening on the kitchen right now. Since DH was gone all weekend, nothing really got done. We're waiting on the custom cabinet guy to call us back so we can go see some of his work. I did get the countertop proposal which I was pretty satisfied with. Granite sure isn't cheap! We'll probably get one more bid just as a reference. Ellis, glad to hear your happy in your bright, beautiful kitchen!!! Bamie -I hope you feel better soon! I rarely get heartburn so I'm glad I don't have to worry about it too much! Ruth - I laughed as I pictured you trying the FRASSING door and it wouldn't open. I'm glad you left the other door unlocked! I've got to get some work done.....or maybe a nap if nobody's watching. Would you chicks mind waking me up in 30 minutes so I don't burn? Oh, you're more than welcome to send over the cabana boy but please tell him to bring a pina colada with him......ZZZZZZZZZ |
Julie...Sorry to hear about your loss!
I took me a lil nap because I was tired from not sleepin all night but I still have stinkin heartburn! I have never had it last this long! I am gonna go drink me a big ol glass of milk and if that does not help I may have to call the doc. I didn't eat anything that would cause it. But with me I don't have to. I drank some water and right after that is when it started. You all seem to be up and at em this morning! I'm still in my jammies and it's 11:20. Anchor....DS and I use to battle it out almost every morning. So I made him go to bed 30 mins earlier and told him when he started gettin up and bein ready on time with no showdowns he could have that extra time back. Guess what it didn't take him long to get it together. Now he has his own alarm and gets himself up no problem cause he knows if he does not then he will have to go to bed earlier and take his shower at night again. Good luck! Ellis...I am so glad your gettin the kitchen back together. I bet it helps with the moral around the house I know it has here. No time to post to all I am goin to try to put this fire out in my chest! lol Have a great day everyone! Ruth...You are so funny! That sounds like summin I would do! Glad ya got in ok! Get that WD 40 on it! lol |
Ellis & Bami - Thanks for the advice on the getting the boy out the door earlier. He is a lazy bunny in the morning. He drags out of bed and onto the couch with the afgan and watches cartoons. Maybe I need to shut off the cartoons earlier!
Chipper & Islander - Yeah on the weight loss! :cb: Keep it up! I need motivation right now! Barb - 3 winters in Michigan isn't enough! Want to hear something really scary? Like around the campfire when when camping scary........ The county right below where I live is on its 65th straight hour of SNOW!!! That's right 65 hours non-stop of blowing & drifting & falling from the sky SNOW! :yikes: Can you imagine? Julie - Sorry about your uncle. :grouphug: China Rose - Come join me on Phase I. I need the company. Just me and Lunawytch I think. Bami - Me again. I'm not sure if you know this and I don't want to scare you too bad - but heartburn could possibly be a sign of a mild heart attack. Especially if you haven't ate or drank anything to bring it on. Get some Pepcid AC or something and call your doctor. One of my students had a heartattack in class and the only sypmtoms she had was heartburn and she couldn't lift her arms off the table and felt lethargic. Luckily her teacher was a RN and recognized the symptoms. She argued with the teacher about calling 911 but was very glad that the teacher did when she found out she was having a heart attack. Take care - I'm worried. Ok back to work! |
Oof, if the heartburn is consistent throughout the day, get to the ER. I was on jury duty last year in the box and on a case when one day I just felt uncomfortable all day long - like heartburn that wouldn't go away.
I didn't feel bad, just uncomfortable. I took some Pepcid AC at lunchtime and when I went home that day I took some more and took a nap. I woke up and still didn't feel good. I finally drove myself to the ER figuring I'd better be safe than sorry. I soon as I got in there and they took my blood and got back the results the admitted me! Turned out I had a pancreatitis. I was in for 8 days. They never did figure out how I got it as most patients that have it are usually heavy drinkers and I rarely drink, if at all. Barb, I see your posts and your weight loss is amazing. Do you have before and after pictures? I'm between Phase I and II. I do all protein and veggies one day and I'll have some carbs the next. |
Julie~Sooo very sorry to hear about your uncle!!
|
Julie - So sorry to hear about your uncle.
ChinkyDragonfly - There is a picture in the gallery of my entire family but I should scan in a before and after picture. I know I recently renewed my driver's license and the difference in the pictures is amazing! Bami - I agree with the others. Please talk to your doctor. |
